Was looking for one of these and found that Homebase have them for £25.00. Is currently priced at £39 from Amazon. Have to pick up from a local store, you can't have it delivered, but there is a reserve and collect facility and all the stores within a 30 mile radius of me appear to have stock (North West).
Please don't let this descend into a thread debating the legality of carrying one of these in public. The blade for the knife locks out and therefore isn't strictly legal to carry in public.

Great multi tool....and Gerbers are far better than Leatherman's. Almost tempted to pick this up (Even though I have 2 already lol)

I have this very one, very handy when I'm struggling to find the 'proper' tool in my cluttered tool box! :sunglasses:
The paraframe mini SS included in this deal is a great knife, but has a locking blade and is therefore illegal.

I disagree..I've had three leatherman...one literally fell apart after 6 months...another rusted after about 12 months...the latest is fine so far but I've only had it a few months (and it's a micro one that sits on my keychain). My original gerber (easily 10 years old and then some) still works fine and I've had no issues with my others

Knives with a locking blade are sold perfectly legally in the U.K., in single form like this one or as part of the function of a multi tool, Leathermans being a good example, they only actually become illegal if carried in public without good reason. I guess that's when ownership and common sense comes into play.

Got mine today and the quality of it seems fantastic, definitely no complaints for £25! Looked at some Leatherman products and they were considerably more expensive. Thanks for the positive comments and hope this helps someone looking for one of these.

And what good reason could there possibly be? Carrying one to/from your place of work won't cut it (excuse the pun...).
Drat. I so wanted to be in before the first "not legal carry" armchair lawyer postulation. :disappointed:

So according to this buying kitchen knives from a town centre shop then carrying them home is illegal.......stupid........I Regularly use a leatherman for work and have it on my belt in public, bothered? No

paid £18 in 2015 from Amazon..... Would quite happily pay £25 for another (although i dont need too, sharpened twice in that time, carry it and use almost everyday at work for various bits of bodging)

I had one of these on my work belt for years. It cost me £19 as I recall but that must have been nearly a decade ago. It was a pretty decent multi-tool although to be fair the tools saw more use than the knife as I also carried a locking knife with me for general cutting work. The only flaw in these was that the scissors were prone to "over-extending" with one part slipping over the other part and they'd then need to be prised back into their proper position. Hard to explain but they weren't the best, something to bear in mind. They may well have improved them since then. The belt pouch also wore out and needed a bit of stitching to keep it going. The pliers are spring-loaded and work really well. £25 is a good price.

Whilst this is a good price, you will likely find this cumbersome to carry around in your pocket for EDC. I have a Leatherman Juice S2, while it is more expensive I find it the perfect size and weight to keep in a pocket and not notice its there. This is important as if it the tool was constantly a bother (heavy + big), if you are like me the tool would end up in a drawer.

If you're happy with the "arrest first, ask questions later" policy - "A court will decide if you’ve got a good reason to carry a knife or a weapon if you’re charged with carrying it illegally."

If you have one of their discount cards, Go Outdoors sell this tool (for £35.99) but they will beat any lower price by 10%, meaning you could get it from them for £22.50.

Have Leatherman & Gerber. Both are quality tools. Newer leatherman's have replaceable wire-cutter blades, a big plus as it was always a weak point. Broke one leatherman and customer service replaced for free, no problems. Gerber tools are generally a bit wider in pocket and rougher finish, but stronger.
£25 is a good price IMO.
