Lily's are very dangerous to Pets. Cats regularly die due the poison. Owners should be aware of this.

These will grow back year after year - I have had some that I bought in the last century still going strong!

I've have a small orange Lilly planted in my flower bed by the previous owners, it's been there over 20 years and still comes up each year! Cannot believe it's lasted this long.

morrisons plants are great, shame these are not in pink yet as part of the deal, i just winter mine outside in the pots but normally move to a more sheltered position where they are protected a little from the wet

I had some of these last year, they died off in winter, I've just left them in the same pot and they're growing back a treat!

It's work for me for many years
The lilies die back in the Winter (just stack the pots indoors and let them completely dry out) then tip out the bulbs in the Spring and repot in the same container (or two if the bulbs have multiplied) using fresh compost.
It does work - I've always got a large Lily display on my patio in the early summer
That way you can also get rid of any Vine Weevil larvae that's in the compost - another Lily predator

If you have cats don't have these in the garden as the pollen is poisonous to cats, otherwise a good deal.

That's why I posted #2 ("Lily pollen may be harmful to pets")
It will also stain your clothes - so I always cut off the stamens from the flowers once they've formed
This also prolongs the flowering period by a few weeks which is a bonus.

pots don't work after year 1 unless you re-pot into something huge and feed heavily

local
you would be better planting them in the ground for subsequent years

Put 6 lily bubs in a 10" pot and you have a mobile Lily display
If you use the correct soilless compost - you'll have a display for many years - and they can be split after a few years
Planting them in the ground leaves them vulnerable to the weather and pests (particularly the dreaded Lily beetle)
You can always sink the pots into the ground
