There is a really cheap flight to St Lucia if you can go on 1 June for two weeks, just £269. Similar priced are also Mexico and Cuba, great for people who can go in the next few days.
Thomson charge £60pp for 20kg of luggage on these flights and you get 6kg of hand luggage included.

Just got back from Barbados Virgin wanted £70 each way for a 900cm 1KG fishing rod so ended up buying a huge case !!!!! next time wonder if one case weighing 40KG is cheeper than 2 at 20K .

No I wouldn't either, I'd cram it all into hand luggage and wear anything heavy. But I travel light and only took hand luggage on a three week holiday to NZ.

With flights at £269-299 return on a dreamliner to the Caribbean, I'd happily pay £30 each way for luggage!
