Hi all, just noticed Malmaison have launched an offer on Friday nights at various locations - some have better availability than others.
Offer is if you spend £50 in their restaurants you'll get the room for £50 BUT thing is they've also launched a spring menu which you can get a 3 course meal for £24.95pp, which would bring your min spend of £50 very very close (Plus you'll end up buying a drink so would meet it anyway)
You can also get a 2 course meal for £19.95 but would be £10 off the min threshold.
Whats the menu i hear you ask?
SPRING FIXED PRICE
Two courses £19.95 Three courses £24.95
STARTERS
Cauliflower velouté Pickled cauliflower and spiced onion frita Fresh burrata Creamy style Mozzarella, herb purée, heritage tomato salad Grilled masala spiced mackerel Sweet potato and lime pickle, cumin raita Spring lamb Benedict Slow braised Dorset lamb shoulder, American glaze, brioche and mint Béarnaise
MAINS
Chicken Milanese Breaded chicken breast, Burford Brown fried egg, truffle mayonnaise and rainbow chard Gloucester old spot pork belly Braised gem heart, fresh peas, Ramsay black pudding and Bramley apple purée Pan-fried river trout Pea and broad bean purée, Anya potatoes and truffle vinaigrette Fresh spring vegetable and wild garlic risotto Pea shoots and extra virgin olive oil
SIDES/£4
Mixed spring greens Anya potatoes with chive vinaigrette pan roasted Jerusalem artichokes
DESSERTS
Warm Valrhona caramel chocolate brownie Brown butter pecan ice cream Rhubarb trifle Yorkshire rhubarb, vanilla custard and ginger crumble topping Iced coffee and praline parfait Chocolate sauce Seasonal fromage slate Fruit chutney, quince and crackers
You can obviously choose anything at the restaurant as the offer on menu isn't valid unless you order before 7.30pm, which won't be an issue for most.
Make sure you select the Friday and Saturday for the offer to apply
There's also an offer for other stays from £109 here LINK

Beaware of this offer: In June (when this deal was originally posted) I booked July 7th at the Birmingham Mailbox Malmaison. All was fine until we went down for dinner. The waitress/head person came over and said as you on the 50:50 room offer you cant have the fixed price 2 or 3 course menu. She said we could have the items if we wanted but they would be individually priced and not £19.99/£24.99 per person as the deal suggests. She simply said cant mix promotions. I thought this was outrageous but didnt make a big deal as it would put a downer on the meal and stay otherwise.
Just something to be wary of!

in hindight yes. but just went with the headline if this post "£50pp with a 3 course meal anda nights stay".... the only way to achieve that really is with the set menu.
Wasn't a big deal but thought i'd warn those thinking about it,

Cor there's some proper tight people on here, a 3 course meal and room for the night for a 100 quid, really, people are voting cold because of this. Have a day off. I've booked Liverpool and can't wait. Stayed there before, lovely hotel.

Why the insults?
You were wrong, and are still wrong. I was just clarifying the deal is not based on two sharing.
So please keep your insults to yourself.

Incorrect, minimum spend total is £100. You get the £50 room rate when you spend a minimum of £50 in the restaurant. It's not based on the number of persons.

Used this offer a couple of weeks ago in Manchester. The £50 food spend is on any food/drink - you do not have to stick with the full menu, anything from the bar works too.

Correct based on hotel stay for TWO plus 3 course meal.. £50.00pp = per person x 2 so £100.00

Now they are being more up front about it I have copied and pasted my quote from another thread: "Okay so here I am in the swanky Manchester Malmaison.....check your T&Cs folks - for £40 I had a Sunday Sleepover which meant I needed to spend an extra £75 in bar/restaurant to secure this rate! Now as we travelled 4 hours by train for a wedding anniversary we didn't say no and paid said £75 which was enough for a two course meal with wine. We also received one voucher for a glass of champagne (between us?????????) so all in all it was decent value if you consider room only on the night was £139. Stay AWARE of 'hidden' costs you could incur"

So basically it is £100 per night and you can only stay one night at this rate as the Saturdays are usually more expensive. Friday night in hotels is easy to get cheap as business folk are not staying there. Personally I would expect a cheaper rate than this as I have had great hotels and meals with a glass of wine for £80 for two, but for Malmaison food / hotel it probably isn't too bad a deal - except who wants to stay on a Friday night?.

Title says £50 per person. Is that correct?

Glasgow requires two night booking, would be a great deal otherwise.

At least there's not a massive penalty for missing the target on food/drink and it's just the difference - meaning it works out the same overall.

Indeed, seems each hotel location is running different terms - Brighton and London are all marked for 2 nights, Liverpool on the other hand allows for a single night.

Seems an issue with the site but you can book 1 night - just click the Friday and Saturday (where aval) and total will be £50 (long as you spend £50 at the restaurant)
