They are sweat-resistant, just not fully submersible waterproof. I've worn my Charge 1 and 2 in the shower many times with no ill effect.

these are getting cheaper day by day.
they smell if you use them under water .

Cheaper possibly because of the bad press they have had recently over the inaccurate numbers they produce and the poor build quality. We went through two before send them back, first one didn't have all functions working and second one said reading were half of the ones we expected. While it sat in the box ready to be returned, it managed to track heart beats and calories. Talking to people at work then found out that most people had had similar or different issues one Pedro was on their 4th replacement :disappointed:

I second that. Save your money and get a mi fit 2. Battery life is amazing, my current charge looks like I'm going to get around 50 days! I use it all the time

I am on my 4th replacement. If it wasn't for the exceptional customer service and the fact I am addicted to Fitbit challenges I'd have ditched them long ago.

so lets say you wash your hands, do washing up, then wash hands in bathroom after toilet it becomes wet obviously so it can leave a little smell

4th Charge HR or 4th Charge HR 2 ? I'm on my 5th Charge HR and am currently deciding on a replacement or the 50% fitbit site discount as the replacement came with a dodgy faster draining battery this time. The band peeling has been terrible over the last 6 months for me. I'm considering the blaze as that's the only one that really offers a good price on their website with 50% off as the alta is to small for my liking. Reselling a new Charge HR on eBay and then buying the others elsewhere would be better as 50% off on inflated prices compared to elsewhere.

Wish my Fitbit Charge HR would die so I can justify the Charge HR 2. Over 2 years and still going strong. Know a few people who've had problems with Charge HR but Fitbit sorted them quick.
As with all trackers, the steps and HR aren't 100% but I find them consistent day on day. It's all about improving the numbers that you get.

I upgraded to charge 2 after loads of replacement charge HRs, managed to convince them to give me 50% off the webstore so got a special edition charge 2 for £80. much better build quality on the charge 2.

I was looking at the deal on here yesterday for the Fitbit Alta HR which has also been reduced. On Amazon I came across what looks like the Alta for £29 called a moreFIT. Has anyone tried these clones and are they as accurate? Click here for moreFIT info on Amazon

before buying check phone compatibility - my wife's charge 2 doesn't sync with her Huawei P9 Lite because they're not compatible. don't assume your phone will be ok like we did.
I'm on my 6th replacement Surge after various issues with the strap tearing and peeling away and 1 where the buttons did not respond.
Shame the build quality on these is so poor as can't find a decent alternative which has GPS built in and isn't an Apple Watch.

How do you know it tracked heart beats if it was in the box?
Also aren't calories manually entered?

Ordered for girlfriend today - discount applicable for home delivery only. Have had one for a month and very pleased with amount of data this tracks and certainly has made me more aware and eager to be more active. Would recommend giving one a go to see if suits you.

I was on my 3rd fitbit charge hr but decided to go for the blaze and 8 months on it's not had any problems.
I also know someone with the charge hr 2 who has had no problems, maybe the build quality is better on the new ones it seems. I've compared the HR readings to a proper chest strap and my blaze isn't as accurate but a few bpm out here and there isn't going to worry me, same with the steps as a wrist tracker is never going to be completely accurate but you can tweak the stride length to compensate a little.

Had my Polar Loop now for nearly 3 years and it's fully waterproof so ideal for swimming. It was the only trackers that I could find at the time that was fully waterproof. Good size display also, although the red font can be difficult to see in full sun.

That's good to hear. The band has been a huge issue in the last 6 months or so I've been through 4 in that time while my or final lasted almost a year. Wearing the 5th replacement while I decide as I can choose a replacement or the 50% off again as they could see the battery was fast draining. Its tough with around 5 months left of warranty but I want to hold out for the blaze replacement  Its quick and easy to get replacements but its a pain and it has slightly put me off. Would like a change next time. I just want to be able to change the band.
P.S Good price this deal

If you get one of these, go and grab one of the metal magnetic straps on Amazon.
The silicon strap did not agree with my wrist and I ended up with a friction burn, was starting to regret my purchase a bit until I got one of these. Much nicer. Transforms the look of the thing too so it looks less like a fitness tracker, which is a good thing IMO.

I bought two of these one for me and one for the wife! I wouldn't by any tracker again. Firstly the steps on these are so badly over estimated because that's what it is estimated, it tells me I have done 300 before I have made it to the toilet which is about three feet away! This makes me believe that the fancy flashy green leds are guessing my heart rate! This makes me believe that the calorie count is based on the steps (which are wrong), it does not know when going up or down stairs either! Manually entering food and water intake it's painful as no one can be bothered! Good points = telling the time because that syncs to your phone so that's always right! I would say this purchase is up there with some of my worst! Almost as bad as the car I bought off eBay! Don't waste your time and money!

Samsung. Way better than s×××bits. Great looking screen, brilliant exercise recognition, battery of around 3 days, shows a lot of info without looking at your phone. Very comfy to wear.
Owned mine for over a year now (bought second hand) with zero problems.

I'm still on my first Charge HR which I've had for over two years now. The top rubber face of the strap has just started to bubble within the last 2 weeks, so it hasn't done too badly I guess. I might have to upgrade to the Charge 2 soon I think!
