Yeah good price on this post, but to misquote the Inbetweeners, seems a bit g4y reporting on a football season 2017 deal when its over (no offence intended!)
Fifa 2018 must be imminent and my wallet is dreading its release date, though this time I can use GCSE results day as a cushion against buying / delaying till price drop if they're not quite up to the mark!

Is this anygood. I found that 14 and 15 you have to mess around with contracts and coins. Just want to play without having to worry about micromanagement.

Yeah don't play Ultimate Team, focus on Career Mode, much more immersive IMHO

better to get EA access, Fifa 17 is terrible compared to previous games and PES.

Even so EA Access is still a no brainer when you consider ocassionally you can get a year for around 16 quid.
Blimey even if you bought it full whack 20 quid annual sub you'd be getting FIFA 17 and all the previous ones for the year and also be getting FIFA 18 next April, lel alone all the other titles in the vault.
Are there really people out there who only play FIFA and never ever fancy a change by playing something different from time to time?

Some people just don't fancy having to pay each year to keep playing, and would rather own the game outright. I've been playing Fifa 14 for about 3 years, and it cost me about £4

Not saying people only play fifa. My brother in law is one of those who only play a select few games being Fifa, GTA, F1, and COD. None of those other games are on EA access so clearly this deal benefits people in a similar position.
Personally I play lots of different games and have previously subscribed to EA access but EA access is not for everyone.

Only play FUT and even then due to life getting in the way that's maybe once a month. Found this one really hard to get used to and still can't take free kicks or score pens. But the defending is much improved and having finally played 50 matches since a September I racked up enough coins to put together a decent Bundesliga side, and I'm starting to enjoy it.
Good price. I've stopped buying discs, you end up getting a fiver back if you trade in two months before the release of a new one. If you scour the classifieds of AVForums or similar you should be able to pick up a code for FIFA 18 on release for about £25 from someone who's bought a console bundle.

I'm a football fan, you know like someone who follows a less fashionable 'small' club so I have no love for FIFA or UEFA as organisations, never mind the top flight of English football so I don't even ever play it or the other one because I believe they have a sponsorship deal with the Catalan separatists which is even worse  no thanks

Yes, same for Destiny, GTA, COD and a number of other high profile games. Some people just don't have the time and/or that's all their mates play

Perhaps I'm a bit guilty of being presumptuous here but people that like football tend to like other sports too and if you're willing to accept the corporate branded commercial dross FIFA rams down your throat you'll most likely be up for a bit NHL and NBA too.
That of course is very much EA's forte and it's no coincidence so many people have grown to dislike them as they've grown in to a rather ruthless and unpleasant giant organisation.
The days of unbranded franchise free sports sims like EA Hockey on the Mega Drive were only 25 years ago but they may as well be 250 years ago things have changed so much since then.
That's a very long winded flip-floppy way of saying if someone like me who is no admirer of EA and hates their present day sports franchises with a passion has to accept Access is the best deal there is in current console gaming then surely it must provide good value to those who are fans of their titles?
I think my above response is very much valid to your point. Course I appreciate not everyone has bundles of spare time to game but variety is the spice of life and thus if you're a FIFA person Access is tailor-made for you.

EA access is worth every penny for an annual subscription price (approx £1.60 per month) even before looking for the deals that can get you the subscription cheaper and I'm someone that last put some "real effort" into a FIFA game when it was 09...

Yeah the other one does have a deal with the Catalan separatists, they recently released a trailer showing their love for them, plus having preorder bonuses and digital editions themed with the separatists.

Not got much to celebrate tonight that lot  that said the ref was still giving them penalties when there weren't even an Eibar player within two yards of that txxxer Neymar. I know the establishment was probably slanted towards the King's 11 in the Franco era but it's gone even further the other way now. My life they really do seem to get every single decision away, never mind at home, I genuinely despise them yet I don't even have any connection with Spain

I think you get 10 hours of playtime for any new release in EA Access. You can see if it's sufficiently different from previous versions and decide if you really want to part with the cash after that.

I am so glad Real Madrid won La Liga and Barcelona only go away with potentially some Copa Del Rey trophy the big boys don't give two hoots about. Hopefully Real Madrid become the first team to defend the Champions League so they can shove that up the Catalan separatists
