Been looking for an electric hookup and came across this. First one I've managed to find for less than £30. Price is £25 but use code NEWSU to bring it down to £21.25
Delivery starts from £3.99 or collect from various stores (not just Millets) for £1.

Looks good - what can you power off the sockets out of interest ?

The product is rated at 230v, 50Hz with a maximum load of 16 Amps/230 Volts AC and 2000 Watts capacity. The 25 Amp RCD is set to trip out at 30mA.

Forget that last comment - I've just put my glasses on and realised this is for plugging into camping site mains electric.
I've got an electric socket in my car which I use for powering a lighting board due to a bike rack obscuring the view of the car registration and indicators.
I'm looking for something like this which you can plug into the cars electrics and power other things such as a additional heater ( for the winter )
Does such a thing exist ?

I have seen someone with something like that before but not sure if it was a legit thing or a DIY job but it was used to power a portable DVD player and phone charger. Will have a quick look...

They used to exist ready made. You can get the bits to make one up from 'Towsure'.
think the £70 original price is massively exaggerated seems to be available for £25 at most places

£70 price tag is almost definitely exaggerated. Haven't been able to find anything like this for as little as £25 anywhere else for about a week though, so well done if you have. This is less than £25 though.

I realise this could well be wrong info from the manufacturer but it's either rated for 2000W or 16A at 230Vac (=3680W), they don't equate to the same thing... As it mentions a 10A mcb I suspect the entire thing is rated to 2300W and it's the plug (and poss cable) that's good for 16A. Not a big deal as 2300W should be plenty for most things but if you bring a standard kettle or fan heater you might struggle!!

You're right - the plug is 16A but the whole thing is limited to 10A by the RCD, and I bet the cable wouldn't be rated for 16A, as that would mean more copper.
Good find - cost me £35 from Amazon last month when I needed one urgently.

Local caravan supplies place near me is £15 for 10m, £20 for 15m and £25 for 20m standard prices. And they're usually faaaar from cheap - try the specialist places first.
Had a similar thing with a mobility scooter high voltage bulb - Halfords wanted £7, a Vespa scooter specialist sold same thing for 99p delivered. Cheapest on Amazon was £13! The big "cheap" stores aren't always best.
