Is there way to actually receive the keys by not linking your steam account?

could send a gift link to your email but im not sure if it gives you a key or an activation link

Yes, possibly if you tick the box next to "This purchase is a gift; send me a gift link."
Edit: Sorry, won't work - "Gift Error. Your order was canceled because one or more items in your cart is not giftable at this time."

Apparently, the main benefits are (gleaned from this source):
"...linking your account serves to get you free content from certain promotions...& will enable you to see more easily on your Humble Bundle download page whether or not you already have a game in Steam."

ooh a free game I actually want and will likely play!! X)
You think you have it bad? I was once careful with how many games I had...then bundles, sales and freebies corrupted me :disappointed:

Okay, I'm at 1,200 games and I feel like there's nothing left for me to buy. How the hell do you have 7,400? I didn't think there were that many games on Steam!
Moonky
12 May 17#31
There's like 12k on Steam or something, people on my friends list have way more :P I don't even actively buy everything that I used to do. Plus freebies from work always boost my count :disappointed:
As long as you're happy, don't become like me with too many games and no time to play any

I try to cover the cost of mine by buying extra gifts during the sales and selling them on afterwards, which was really profitable a few years ago before region locking and may have just become impossible thanks to the new gifting rules, and I'm quite active on trading sites swapping unwanted bundle keys for other games. But sometimes that does mean that I spend more time looking for trades than I do actually playing the games. I think I was aware that there were around/over 10,000 games on Steam, and I've seen people with way more than me before, but 7,400 might be the most I've ever seen. What do you do for work that gives you free games? That would be the dream for me!
holy.....some serious numbers you got there...impressive

I buy from you guys all the time! Just got Ghostbusters: The Video Game from there the other day, because it was removed from Steam without notice and prices on key reselling sites shot up so I never thought I'd get a chance to buy it again. Always wanted to work for a place/site like that but not sure if I'd have any relevant skills.

I was headhunted for my deal finding at reddit, been there almost 2 years now
Never in my wildest dreams did I think it would ever happen to me.
