Cracking phone for the money. I have had mine a for a few months now. Performance wise, it's awesome. The battery will deplete quickly on regular mode. The processor is a monster and the screen is relatively big. However, if you put it in super moderator, it will last you a day without problems. If you're on Plusnet, tethering does not work on this phone. You need to root it and do some black magic on it... So I don't. Reception and clarity of phone calls is great. 4G works very well. Camera is adequate. Compared to my old Moto Grand it is not great. If you are after professional photos, look somewhere else.
As the phone was sold directly by Doogee on Amazon, the ROM was untouched and contained no malware or similar rubbish.
I bought this phone as I did not want to spend a fortune on a good spec phone. If this one lasts me 2 years like my old Moto Grand, I will be happy.
Hope this helps. Heat added.

Xiaomi Note 4, Elephone P9000, LeEco Le 2 are worth considering as an alternative (at £130-135 price tag). I had them all in hand and all of them are very good quality.
LeEco Le 2 is little old, but great specs and you can buy it new on ebay (UK stock, X527 model) for £122. Which i did.

I'm currently running a Meizu MX4 Pro with a beautiful 5.5 inch 2K screen but, fact is, when we go out with friends of an evening it's simply too big to put in my jeans pocket so my wife has to put it in her hand bag! Not great so I'm going back down to 5 inch with the ZUK Z2.

As i said earlier, the Lenovo ZUK Z2 for similar money to this. 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, Snapdragon 820. Amazing spec for the money and that all-important 5 inch (FHD) screen.

Seems like the above malware can install apps on your phone without permissions, which could lead to popups everytime you switch on the phone and it could also install other stuff that could steal all your passwords, login details etc
personally i wouldn't take the chance and send the phone back.

Mine has just arrived.
Have installed malwarebytes and it has found one piece of malware:
Android/Trojan.fakeupdates.V
Located in /system/priv-app/systemfota/systemfota.apk
Classed as wireless update
malwarebytes cannot delete this.
Should I keep the device and install all my stuff to it??
Help please

I agree Apple treat their own customers (i.e. people who purchased directly from them) better than those that purchased from a third party. Having said that, in the first two years they are pretty good regardless of where you purchased. It's years 3-6 they won't touch as the law states it's the responsibility of the seller.
Now in terms of the CRA and 6 years, it's struggle to get anyone to honour their obligations (including John Lewis) but with Apple there is virtually no hassle. Have used the CRA (and SOGA) with Apple (mine and family members) and they have been fine. Sometimes they need reminding; if it's outside the first 12 months, just remind them that you are seeking a repair/resolution under Consumer Law (in the case of the UK, this is the Consumer Rights Act).

As per another poster I would recommend an alternative to the Doogee....I've just got a Swift 2 Plus from Amazon @ £149.99 . includes 1 year screen replacement. Plugged it in and OTA updated to latest Nougat. Setup Android pay (tested today and all good). NFC works great, 3gb/32 - partnered it with a fast charger 3. overall a decent, snappy performer with improved camera over my Moto G4...only thing I miss is the 1/2" screen real estate!
Looking at previous comments wileyfox customer service was slated......when I registered phone I was unable to register the warranty card....contacted them....held my breath.....got a response on a bank holiday today within 12 hours of sending a message giving me the solution I needed. Supporting a British startup (yep I know chinese components!) - but so far so good....phone is solid so far .......

I wouldn't recommend Wileyfox. Specs are very average in today's competitive budget smartphone industry. I would go with a Chinese phone (I have one myself). With proper research and reading reviews, you can get excellent phones for cheap. I would recommend Xiaomi, perhaps the Mi 5 or Redmi Note 4.

Wileyfox swift 2 is stupendous for the price. Forget sitting in a dark room and jacking off to phone specs, read reviews and ask owners. This is a British start up. The phones have a two year warranty. For £15 extra you can buy a card which lets you replace the screen for any reason in year 1. The phones are built very well. They have just had the latest android update, which you wouldnt even get on 1 yr old top of the line phones..... The list goes on.

I'd suggest scanning any doogee phone with malwarebytes before actually using it, cheap chinese brands such as this are usually riddled with malware that are installed at the core, needs the phone rooting to try and remove them, thus voiding your warranty.
read some of the reviews on amazon for doogee, cubot, leagoo and see how many infected phones there are.
Yes, this is ANOVO for you. Default is "physical damage not covered."
The CEO office, in my case remains useless. They refused to do anything. I them filed a case in the small claims court and Samsung's external solicitors settled. I racked up their solicitor costs to teach them a lesson. They cannot claim solicitor costs in the small claims court! Why would any company spend £2000 for a barrister to attend a small claims court when it is cheaper to settle? Always sue with MCOL.
In my case I suspect the battery over heats, expands and pushes the back cover off - the glue fails.

Silly question. Is the Helio inferior to the Qualcomms?
They use a third party warranty repair service, complete and utter shysters. They will do anything to get out of their obligations, that is why I would never buy a Samsung phone.
I had a Samsung Tab2 S, the battery ballooned inside the sealed unit and the back cover just became bigger and bigger. Their response, customer damage. How? Idiots, only when I threatened to sue them and got their CEO involved they repaired, although any decent company would have replaced it as it was only three months old.
I take an iPhone in for a repair three years after I purchased from them, tested found a minor fault, replaced with a new unit (possibly refurb but came out of a sealed box), no hassle, no drama. So despite Apple getting slammed for over-pricing (to which I agree BTW), their CS is a million times better than any other manufacturer out there, bar none.

I would 100% go for the Xiaomi Note 4 over this. Similar price range (albeit a bit of a wait for delivery), but a way better quality of handset.
Looks decent enough just worried about the battery life seems quite poor, I'm looking for a newer phone but i think i might go for the lenovo p2.

If the battery is removable, buy a spare. The batteries in other models are poor and at 15% just switches off. The phones are fine, camera poor and battery pathetic. If just need a phone and simply browse the web then even £50 gets a decent dual sim phone.

If you buy from DX.com, and it breaks often they just accept the return, credit your account and tell you to buy another phone. This is great as you get a better spec without extra cost and new warranty.
My experience of Samsung is twice they have not honoured warranty.
S6 - it bent like an iphone and Samsung failed to even return my phone so after 1 month I sued Samsung and they settled. Now a second S6 - the back cover came off and cracked. This is a sealed unit and should not come off. When the cover came off it fell and cracked. Samsung's response "physical damage - not covered". Yet, the phone works.
They fail to explain a why a back cover from a sealed unit (not removable cover) comes off.
Samsung are useless.
GUARANTEE: The DOOGEE F7 has a one year warranty for the phone and six months for the battery and charger. Every phone is supported through professional customer service technicians both online and in our service center in Spain. Customer satisfaction is our goal
