DAB+FM digital clock radio alarm from Tesco ebay outlet - while looking to replace my footman's clock radio (his kept losing time and he was forever late) I stumbled across this apparent bargain from Tesco's ebay outlet. These are refurbished products (lovingly checked and tested by Tesco electronic artisans in Tesco outlet HQ apparently) - for £12.00 I concluded it worth a purchase as the saving of £10 compared to the new price was too irresistable for a bagain hunter such as myself.
Tesco state: “This item is professionally refurbished. It may have minor cosmetic marks or scratches and may come in non retail packaging.”

Just a FYI for anyone with as bad eyesight as me, one that looks promising is the Pure Siesta Rise - only downside is the price, around £70. Ouch.

My eyesight is so bad, I need big numbers haha! Wonder if I could see find this on sale in a Tesco and test by taking my glasses off (the sales assistants will probably think I'm bonkers)

I'm very tempted (avid 6music listener) only thing is the size of the digits. I've had an Aiwa BIG NUMBERS clock radio for nearly 20 years and have yet to find a DAB version with a similar display :P

The numbers aren't tiny but not massive. For a cheap device it's good but the lack of any battery backup is annoying and the quirky channel selection (it doesn't have 10 preset buttons for example but 1 preset you use with +/- to scroll through presets)
reception seems fair and sound quality is quite good for a small speaker.

Yes even on the lowest setting it's bright at night, (press Snooze to cycle through 3 brightness settings) - I might try and add something to filter out some brightness.

Well mine arrived, it's brand new and sealed so that's a result. Seems ok for the price, only niggle is no battery backup and a 1 second power cut loses settings although the clock auto sets.

Yes unfortunately there weren't many left - when I posted the deal it didn't show the stock but within about 10minutes it showed 8 left and then 0

That went REALLY fast, glad I just ordered one and didn't stop to think about it, guess they only had a few left to clear out, unless they want to stagger it a bit and sell the rest tomorrow...

Also stands a chance of getting a decent signal as it has a proper whip antenna unlike some radios / clock radios

Heated, been after a bedside clock for a while and at this price might as well make it a clock radio, dab is very good for this price...

Nice find, I wanted the clock and alarm and thought it worth a punt at this low price.
They've got a few of those at £13.50 if you didn't want the clock part like?

Seems like a reasonable DAB clock radio, so many low price DAB clock radios get terrible reviews, this one seems ok and for £12 and a 12month warranty I figured what's to lose (£12 my footman suggested) - sells for £22 new from Tesco.
