I have an old old MagiCan opener still working and real easy to use.
Features a stainless steel precision cutting mechanism
Clips to top of lid for easy-opening
Designed to both lift and eject the can lid
One of the world's best selling can openers
Wide and comfortable handle
Doubt the price will stick for long as Amazon are price matching one of their big competitors on this one.

Not sure the colour of the tin has anything to do with it.

Mine doesn't work well on salmon tins.
Some brands seem to have a deeper lip and it just skids around the top.

Used to be great. Now crap. Got an opener off eBay that doesn't leave sharp edges - recommended.

I just got a Poundland tin opener which seems surprisingly good. Silky smooth.

Not that hot, it's offered at £1.50 as an add on deal - you only qualify for this price if you're spending £20+ on other items - that's what I've understood it to be anyway

I agree. I had one many years ago and it was excellent and hard wearing. It eventually gave up the ghost after about 20 years and I bought this one. it lasted for about 6 mts. Definately a case of 'dont make them like they used to!'

I have one of these that is about a year old, its total rubbish. I fails to fully open many can types. Maybe the older types are good, buy mine is rubbish.

Got one of these worth the money for standard type tin. But doesn't work on awkward tin like Fray bentos pies.

Ours is crap, doesn't grip very well, so just spins without moving along the rim. Actual works better if the handle is turned the wrong way.

Had mine a few years and it's brilliant. Had an electric can opener that broke and this was a great replacement that's been going strong for years.
