one of the cheapest tower fans available and its back !!
-quiet (reported by most) -low wattage - 44w -3 speeds -swing - osc -2hr timer -not bad looking (gloss white) such a low price you could just spray another colour if wanted with acrylic spray paint  -467 reviews (7 bad, few not countable, like one using it with out base attached ) -the independent -best buy award
I have had many at 4 to 8 times the price only gaining annoying leds and beeeeeeps and never used sleep and wind modes.
just got my fan......its 60watt not 44 as Tesco states..watt meter shows 40w speed 1, 45w speed 2, 50w speed 3, swing adds 3 to 5watts.
looks better quality than picture shows.
quiet timer NO.. tick..tick..tick...or rattling.
swing is smooth & about 90 degree arc, no funny sounds (yet)
stable.
long cable with cable tidy too roll up spare under base.
quiet considering its air flow, cant have good air flow with out some noise.
white noise on speed one, could easily fall too sleep with it running.
had many fans, the only ones quieter had crap air output.
not silent but not noisy.
plan on grabbing digital mains socket timer (usually only £5) to use random feature or program an on off cycle for day and night to save electric.
can not fault it for £20. ..had fans upto £100 and they are no better.
pedestal fans do shift more air but have yet to find one with a balance fan blade so they rattle them selves dead very fast.

you might want to stock up on some stockings, some brollies and a good duvet - we've seen snow already!

Bought my fans over winter to avoid the craziness that is inevitable once we get a couple of warm days & the UK goes fan crazy.....

Not a fan of pedestal fans myself, too easy to knock over as they are top heavy.

I don't rate compared to the pedestal it is about 30-50% as powerful. Wish I bought 2 of the stainless steel pedestals last year for sure.

Well they do stick out quite a bit at the sides
A tower fan is slim enough so that you can stick it in the doorway to draw cool air in from outside without blocking access.
Like a dyson fan, there's no buffeting and I guess you could claim it is bladeless.

I have got 2 tower fans broken so far. Just broken bits inside for no reason so I will stick to pedestal fans.
