Normally BT Mobile SIMs don't offer great value for those who don't already have BT Broadband, but in this case - with a £3 discount offer - they seem to be breaking the status quo, and of course it's even better value if you do have BT Broadband.
BREAKDOWN: BT BROADBAND CUSTOMERS - £12 per month - 12 month contract - Choice of £90 iTunes or Amazon voucher The bill is £144 per year, but treating the voucher as a cash discount makes it effectively £4.50 per month.
BREAKDOWN: NON-BT BROADBAND CUSTOMERS - £17 per month - 12 month contract - Choice of £90 iTunes or Amazon voucher The bill is £204 per year, but treating the voucher as a cash discount makes it effectively £9.50 per month, which is still very competitive.

Do they let you know when you've used your data or you go over without knowing plz?
Cos with a teenager it's easy for them to go over and then £5 a month on top of the bill is quite a significant add on. Thanks
PKRichie
19 May 17#75
That depends where you live, BT own the EE network, you can check coverage Here or you have 14 days from the day after to change your mind and cancel, just don't use a PAC code until you're sure the coverage is ok.
It's per month and yes £5 is the lowest you can set
katestewart9279
19 May 17#74
Is £5 a week the lowest cap then? Cos that's quite high if you've got a teen.
I think the plusnet cap is lower. Tesco that he's on now is a £2 cap.

Not strictly speaking true. If you cease being a customer, due to a price increase then BT will still honour the £5 discount after you leave them. Have had this applied to some accounts had with them i took out in November even though the landline was cancelled in February 2017.
Cheapasnowt
18 May 17#62
I had the same issue in November- i finally put a manual claim in on 2 accounts- Quidco then a few weeks later tracked the claim at a lower rate than offered at the time and paid out eventually at the much lower rate. Their argument was BT only paid them a lower rate and so this was what it could pass on. Currently going to the Financial Ombudsman over the issue.

18 May 17#36
Good news. From 1 June you can use your data, calls and text allowance in Spain,
France, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria and
many more countries.
In fact, over 40 destinations abroad are included in the new ‘roam like home’ initiative.
How it works
Next time you’re in one of those countries, you’ll get a text to say you’re roaming.
Then you just use your phone as normal.
Don’t forget, anything you do use while you’re away counts towards your data, minutes and text allowance. So if you go over it, you’ll need to pay the below charges.
Khairul
18 May 17#35
Both Topcashback and Quidco state in their T&Cs that the cashback and voucher deals cannot be combined on BT Mobile. However, in message #18 of the thread linked to by pablomalin9, somebody found a method that worked for them.
mivanpy
18 May 17#24
Good deal if you have just signed up to broadband to bring it in line with that contract. Otherwise not great as it's gonna cost more. Unless they increase price of bb then i don't know if you could leave the mobile contract aswell as they go hand in hand?
Khairul to mivanpy
18 May 171#32
Even if you have the higher price, at effectively £9.50pm it's still pretty competitive.
For example, yesterday the £8.50 Plusnet deal was the hottest deal of the day, and it only had 3.5GB data, although admittedly it's a rolling contract.
At £9, Three only only give 4GB data.

I don't see why you cant get cashback. There is no coupon code on this - its their standard deal.
Worth trying if you are buying - as nothing to lose. Just don't base your purchase on cashback.

This is a really good price . However I'm currently with bt mobile and the reception I get ( in the north west) is awful compared with O2 . Think Bt own the EE network and personally when my contract elapses I wouldn't use Bt mobile again.
andysmoore to jona77
18 May 17#20
I disagree. I'm also in the Northwest and bt seem better than o2. The 4g speed is constant also with bt. If the signal is 2 bars, I get 30mbps+, same as if it was full signal.
You also get free access to bt sports mobile app with any 6gb+ contract.
