Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure this contains the 30th Anniversary version which is the same as the "Mastered in 4K" one

Hot! If only for the first line of the description. I made the mistake of assuming the remake couldn't actually be as bad as people had been saying....oh no...it really is that bad.

Please amend to 'Produced in a facility that also handles copies of Ghostbusters 2016'.
Stay safe out there x

Good price for both but there's a remastered from 4k version of Ghostbusters and also the 4K Ultra HD versions of Ghostbusters 1 + 2 at £20 each, which I will probably buy again

What ultra violet?
justdavey to machomansavage
15 May 17#12
Ultraviolet is basically a digital copy of the movie which you can watch via the Flickster Video app (in the UK)
Personally, I find it a bit of a pain in the backside compared to Google Play and iTunes though.

Picture quality on the first film is atrocious, and there's not excuse for it.
Can't blame it on the age of the film as other Blu-ray conversions from the 80s are near faultless.

Well, all movies aren't shot equal. There are lots of things to take into account. Budget, film stock, director, cinematographer, optical effects etc. etc. etc.
Expecting every movie shot in a particular decade to look exactly the same is pure clown shoes I'm afraid.
BTW this is hot! I paid more than double upon release and I thought that was cheap.

Yeah, you're right. This version is the one without all the extras. There's a slight difference in contrast between the two but nothing that jumps out. Worth borrowing the non 4k remaster as the extras are pretty good.

I thought it was amusing... glad that Robbie was replaced early on, it could have been better... but still for prime time ITV it was not bad at all.... it could have been far far worse!
Why? 4K masters on BD is perfectly adequate for these.
Schoolboy error lazily assuming the 4K discs will be better.

Don't go off pack shots. All 'legacy' extras are present.

People invested in 4k do not settle for adequate.
So you don't think the native 4k version is better? Riiiiiiiiight.

So Ghostbusters 1 and 2 were shot in 4K? Riiiiiiiiight...
People invested in 4k do settle for adequate quite a few times actually. They just don't realise it... yet.

You obviously have no understanding of cinematography.
GB was shot on 35mm film, the best print of 35mm can equal 8k digital but there are many intermediate stages of film so it is more equivalent to a 4k presentation.

You obviously need to go and Google some more.
Anyway, I can't be bothered any more...

While that is true, if it were indeed the case, how can Blu Ray copy be so poor but when it's on Sky Movies or ITV in HD it's much better quality??

Probably safer to buy the Blu-ray version instead of stream them anyway.
I mean you wouldn't want to to cross the streams.

Are you sure as my remastered from 4k version came with next to nothing due to how much space was left on the bluray.

You've got me wondering now. I'll try to dig my set out and double check.
