A really quick look at recent reviews are enough to put the brakes on this purchase, irrespective of the fact that its only 10p.

This app used to be my favourite for a good couple of years. The DRO mode (now caleld Super mode) is just fabulous and it magically produces a picture that is very close to what your eyes see.

I only stopped using it because it's quite slow on my OnePlus 2 for some weird reason. I paid full price for it and it's worth every penny in my opinion.

They also have HDR for both photos and videos which is AWESOME. Againa, it plays up on Oneplus 2 but worked perfectly fine on all other phones (including a Oneplus 1, HTC M8 and HTC m7).

At 10p it's a steal in my humble opinion.

Haven't tried this one. The one I keep going back to is Vignette.

This is probably worse than most stock camera apps found on flagship android phones released in the past 24 months or so. It's not the days of Android Gingerbread anymore...

Open Camera is better.

RAW support (device dependent) separate exposure and focus lock, pre-shot, manual controls, bracketing, panorama, timelapse, multishot, adjustable burst mode, etc, etc.
I've tried many camera apps, this one is a close second to ProShot, for me anyway.
At £0.10 it's an absolute bargain.

Point your normal camera at a Window during the day, take a picture with your stock camera application and you'll see what I mean. The areas inside your house will be very dark and almost not visible in the picture (although your eyes can easily and clearly see them). The Window will be too bright and sometimes blurry and you'll be lucky if you can see anything behind it. HDR is one solution for that as it takes three photos at normal exposure, over-exposed & under-exposed and merges them together. Problem with HDR is that it changes colours slightly as it was originally designed for scenic photos (i.e. pictures of sky, mountains,...etc). DRO mode is similar to HDR but it's faster and doesn't change the colours.

That being said, other camera applications (including stock) have gone a long way during the last couple of years so this application is no longer far-superior as it once used to be. Still worth 10p though ;-)

Indeed. I've probably tried them all and I think Open Camera provides the best results due to it's vast range of settings and manual adjustments that it gives you access to.

That said, the beauty of Android is that you can have several installed at one and use them interchangeably.

Is it just me or is there no slow motion feature for video recording?

this app and open camera are my favourites and both far superior to my xiaomi stock app. Better Camera does just shade it in my opinion. For 10p I would certainly give it a go and compare to your existing app.

Any suggestions for a video app , I go to gig sometimes, and the sound recording quality is terrible compared to my misses iPhone, just need more control over mic sensitivity or automatically turning the mic down.

I use a HTC ONE M9 with stock software as I prefer really poor photos and really bad lighting. For instance I prefer to take a snap of something really interesting and then try to guess what the photo is of. Keeps me busy and saves on crosswords in boring times. After all that's what a 20MP Android 7.0 phone should be for?

Tried this adds features but no better with this model.
