School holiday on a tight budget? If you thought getting a school holiday deal under £200 was impossible, read again!
This is a deal to Golden Sands in Bulgaria, departing from Luton on 1 August for a week. The flight times aren't great, leaving in the evening and arriving after 1am but the hotel description indicates airport transfers are free so at least you can get straight to your hotel.
Flights are with Wizzair and each person gets a small cabin bag as standard and I've included one check in bag of 23kg, but you can add additional baggage on for extra cost. Wizzair is my least favourite budget airline, it's cheap, basic and very no frills but every flight I've take has been early so that's a plus at least (I know I'm not selling this well here)!
The hotel is the Elfi, which has good ratings on http://www.booking.com and you also get breakfast INCLUDED in the rate too. I've picked this place as the rooms seem larger than others with quadruple beds as oppose to sofa beds or fold down beds. Rooms also have a sea view, balcony and air conditioning and the location is walking distance to the beach and the rooms look pretty good too.
£276 for Villa Elfi for 4 people book by following 'Go To' deal.
Total £790.92/£197.73pp

1st family foreign holiday! Already cost us the best part of £500 for passports.
My goal is Mexico all-inclusive, but finding any deal for two adults and three kids ( 12,13 &14) in August is more than our 3.5 k budget.
Might just leave it to the last minute for a bargain.

We paid £3200 and £3600 for our Mexico Holidays with 3 children back in 2006 and 2007 respectively. In 2008 the prices shot up to around the £5000 mark.
Despite constant searching for bargains , we have been unable to find holidays for our family to Mexico for under £5000 , closer to £6000 being the average.
We are off to the Riviera Maya , Mexico next Month for 2 weeks (myself and missus) , first holiday we've been on (just the two of us) for over 20 years ! Can't Wait ..............

Nearly £500 for passports, for 5?! We renewed 6 for about £350 - did own photos, didn't use check and send, put all the separate envelopes in one and posted special delivery.

I went to Sunny Beach in Bulgaria on a similar deal, so cheap I thought it couldn't be true but it was. This was years ago before they had properly got started with their tourism but was fantastic for the money. Only problem was the poor quality of the local food, but may be they have cleaned that up now.

If anyone makes this trip I'd suggest a visit into Varna itself.
Small city you can walk around in an afternoon with a nice stretch of beach bars which are cheaper than Golden Sands and a bit more upmarket.

Excellent find , may have to put Bulgaria on my 'visit next' place on the cheap
School holiday prices take the p@@@!! I don't even travel with little ones but was limited to travelling only in school holidays which cost me around £400 for ONE person , thankfully I am going to be able to travel any time of year soonish so have booked a return flight to Menorca for next year @ just over 50 quid and have plenty of time to find a cheap room but it works out around half the price usually for out of school holiday time so this really is fantastic value!

I know school prices are so expensive. I'm on a mission to find those cheap school holiday deals for parents. It can be done, sometimes it may be thinking of destinations you may not have considered but hopefully some of you will get some good value school holiday deals this year.

The problem I have with Riviera Maya is it is like Benidorm for the Yanks. Totally hated the place. Just my opinion, I don't like Loud, Rude and racist to the little Mexicans Americans very much.
