Lol@ the marketing of 'remastered in stunning HD for next generation consoles'.
Anything over hd-lite; 720p, would be more than enough on a big screen - Atari are vector (line and block) graphics for God's sakes, 1080p, UHD, QHD or 4k would make no difference.
Still, into retro games then worth it I suppose.

Vector graphics have infinite resolution.
They benefit as resolution increases.

Heated best price for these by about £5. Very tempting, though i do already have the pc version which i gather is very similar?

Heat from me - but what a con these collections really are. Like someone else said, all on one disk/pack and this price to start with and they might have had my attention.
Atari were always the greedy architects of their own doom.

Picked them both up at launch for full RRP. Heat for this price. Must say however the controls - going from paddles to now PS4 joypad - suffers quite considerably in translation. Shame really, since all Arcade ports of said Atari Classics are as good today as ever.

I find it somewhat puzzling that they release so called Atari 'classics' of what was (although the most popular and cheap) the weakest of the Atari line of consoles/computers.
This is especially more puzzling when a good proportion of them are conversions of coin-op arcade machine Atari classics, whereby emulation of the original would be much better at best, and at (less than) worse a port of the Atari 8-Bit line of computers that were impressively released way back in 1979 yet nearly had the same muscle power as the Commodore 64 of 1982.
Who would want to play the Star Raiders VCS port over the Atari 400/800/XL/XE one?
Who would want to play the horribly blocky VCS port of Asteroids over the classic vector graphic arcade original?
Titles like Yar's Revenge that were never ported fair enough.
I am all for Atari classics, but at least play to its strengths....

If that's what the games are like then not for me! Thanks for pointing it out. If I'm going to play retro games which I want to then it has to be like they were not that rubbish in the top pic.

The Atari vault on Steam is £6.99 and you get all 100 games that are in these two discs.
Oh and two 25 gig BR disc's to hold 50 8bit games each. lol
