Not Warehouse, but ebay, and the Ever Pretty size 12 fits! Yay! Third time lucky (some of their listings said they're now using a new Size Guide which explain why the size 14 from Amazon Warehouse is so humungous - must be older stock).
Amazon Warehouse-related: I've had yet another parcel (via DPD) go missing in a matter of weeks - was only a Star Wars t-shirt, there's a timestamp for Peterborough on the dispatch date but it's been AWOL nearly a week since. Surprised as I've never had issues with DPD before.
Yep I did, most of my items were new or as new and none had anything missing. Everything I brought I planned to get but got much cheaper!
Last 3 of the 21 items I had arrived today.
Ethernet USB Hub,3 Ports USB 2.0 Hub with RJ45 Port,Lan Wired Network Adapter - £7.99 (Box been opened but hub still had plastic cover over it looks New)
Arvok 12 Inch Water-resistant Canvas Fabric Laptop Sleeve With Handle & Zipper Pocket - £7.37 (New & Sealed)
Sades SA-903 Stereo 7.1 Surround Pro USB Gaming Headset - £7.96 (Box had been opened and window plastic damaged but headphones are new cable still sealed in bag and they are genuine Sades as well)
The detachable laptop/tablet I got is made by 3nStar who make good Tills & scanners. It is a newer version of this one below the camera's are better as is the chassis design, no Intel logo's and camera is built into the skin & has a 64bit MC Z3735F and not a 32bit MC Z3735G, load of bits in it are made by Sandisk. Windows 10 update took 10GB off the Sandisk SSD LOL. Overall at £63 this is a steel
I actually don't mind the odd missing item as long as it doesn't stop the thing working. For example, I bought a camera which was completely unused and I couldn't find any of the "minor cosmetic imperfections" that it was meant to have. However, the charger came with a European lead so I called customer service who promptly refunded me the cost of a complete new charger even though all I needed was a UK lead which I had a spare of, but which would only have cost a few quid anyway.

I bought two items. One was brand new and unopened, and £125 cheaper than the £475 'new' price. The other was opened, but apparently unused, and cost a third less than the 'new' price. Maybe I was lucky, but I have no complaints at all.

I think no would probably be the best answer....mind you I was one of the lucky ones and was happy with most of what I ordered but think it also depends on what you ordered as to how lucky/happy you were...take it what you ordered wasn't what you expected?
Admittedly still really annoyed about the fake memory cards that Amazon dispatched to a lot of people including myself :disappointed:

One of my 1060's had to go back as it was faulty, luckily it was the 3gb one as I wanted to keep the 6gb one.
I also managed to pick up a MSI Z170 Tomahawk motherboard to replace my existing one, that worked as expected.

They're even more expensive to just keep lying around in a warehouse. Space is money for a warehouse and 70,000 books take up a hell of a lot of space.
Even at £3-4 I'd be tempted but at £9-12 you're having a laugh.
Considering they usually use their own couriers the cost of delivery isn't too high either - mostly just petrol + wages.

Books are expensive to deliver - size + weight
I am sure they have some tax incentive (dodge) if they give them away to a charity, who then sell them on for cheap
Salfordgirl1
18 May 171#540
One of the things I hate about the Warehouse deals is that books are barely ever discounted.
You can buy them for £1 from a charity shop or even Ebay, yet a used Amazon Warehouse book is £12+. Considering they have 70,000 books, you'd think they'd want to shift them.

I've been very lucky everything I have had so far is either New or as good as New on all my deliveries so far.
Going by what I had last year I avoided some things and thinking the reasons why they were returned to see if worth getting, like wrong size, dont fit, no 6 pin connector, etc. and looks like I got lucky.
had 2 deliveries today.

I've had this a few times. People do use the warehouse as a free upgrade service. The last one was a 600w lighting ballast. I received a 250w one in a 600w box.

16 May 171#524
That happened to me about a year ago.
I had a hand-written note in the box, with the customer's name, address, phone number and email on it. Thankfully, the item itself was fine (it was a Hudora scooter). I complained but Amazon simply apologised and never really responded....

16 May 17#523
Just lucky I guess looked at the right time.
Everyone was expecting another massive warehouse clearance like last year but Amazon didn't do it, bit of a hhmm and a lot of people were disappointed like myself. I spent over £600 last year but only £250 this year and I've been picky with that.
They had 154,000 items at the start and now they are at 142,000 but it was 138,000 earlier in the week. They couldn't have shifted that much and they didn't add that much so I reckon they will do a bigger sale hopefully and drop a lot of stuff to rock bottom but hey we will never know.
I had put a couple of more orders in
The Mighty One: My Life Inside the Nerve Centre - £5.33
Wolfcraft 7932010 22 x 400mm CT Masonry Break-Through Drill with Hexagonal Shank - £6.96

Got to agree with you as would think the other person wouldn't be too happy about it....had a similar incident just over a year ago but what really annoyed me was I bought a brand new product from the main Amazon website not from the warehouse and it arrived with someone else's name and address label on the box with a cross over it done with a pen but could quite clearly read it and inside was the returns label they'd printed out to return the item
When I think about it now I should have sent them a note asking them why they'd returned the product to Amazon and enquired if it was faulty :stuck_out_tongue:

I ordered a 2nd monitor, same model, as new and it arrived without.... yep, the stand again!!!! I haven't sent the first one back yet, so it's not the same one!
Also, inside the second monitor box was an envelope with the contact details of an Amazon customer - presumable the person who sent the monitor back to them before I received it. The contact details were in an envelop with an order number handwritten on the outside. I think finding someone else's contact details in a package from Amazon is a little troubling.

Took a chance and ordered a Dell U2414H monitor for £139, listed as very good condition, with a few scratches. Took it out of the box, not a scratch on it, well pleased, set it up and noticed it has a vertical line the height of the screen about two thirds of the way across, well £"$$#& off!
What I did notice when I arranged the return, that I was not asked what was wrong with the monitor, also the return slip doesn't ask for this information either. It's no wonder faulty items get sent back out, as they probably don't even know what's wrong with them!

Gaahhh! Amazon Warehouse strikes again! For some reason the x10 face packs have arrived and there's only ONE in the packet! Have to moan at Live Chat again, sigh.
The description says "Boxed-product Weight: 91 g - Im Real Mask Sheet - Rice - Clear Skin - 10x21ml/0.71oz"
Edit: They're telling me to return it, which doesn't bother me so much - it's just the disappointment and the hassle of having to wait in AGAIN - as I had to wait for the courier. Either a mistake in the listing or at the packing stage.
This has happened to me a few times with Amazon (product description/quantity being wrong) - it's almost enough to put you off buying from Warehouse, but it won't.
I stamped my feet and said it was THEIR mistake - so they told me to keep it.
Another Edit: Really hard to say if it's the listing or the packer that's at fault.
As an example, I recently ordered from a Warehouse listing for one Kool Pak (used for sport injuries, etc)...a whole box of them arrived! Ordered another from the exact same listing and a single Kool Pak arrived in a cardboard packet. It's as though they don't know what they're doing!!

If you like the monitor quality (stand aside) you could consider either wall mounting the monitor, or using one of those space saving desk mount stands.
If you get on to Amazon Customer Services, you should be able to push for a partial refund to cover the cost of the missing part.... if they dont offer enough... tell them the cost of the part needed (pick one that is the cheapest suitable item) and push a little more with them.... its always worth a try

There's also the small % who don't have a printer/can't be bothered to send items back, though I'm too tight to do that, and complain on principle :stuck_out_tongue:
Yeah I think it's more "some" items get looked at and graded and some obviously don't, because some only need a cursory glance to judge their poor condition.
Electricals/electronics particularly are a real gamble with Warehouse.
Amazon's stellar customer service helps immensely though. Buying refurbs from most other places (esp ebay) can be a real pain, from experience!
tiggerloveslife
13 May 17#498
Suspect they are using their customers as a test panel for warehouse items...cheaper than employing staff to do it as if a customer says they've received a damaged/faulty item and returns it and Amazon then sends it out to another unsuspecting customer and they also say it is damaged/faulty then Amazon has had it confirmed at less time and cost than employing staff to do it...plus when you factor in the huge amount of returns they get then it probably isn't practical for them to test every item that gets sent back....
Put it this way I've received warehouse items in the past that have been missing key parts or have been switched for a completely different product than what it is supposed to be and it has been immediately obvious as soon as I've opened the box so no way has it been checked by someone else....
Mind you I've also received some really good bargains and as I've said all the way through this thread since I posted the deal it really is a hit or miss situation and sometimes you can end up with a real bargain...other times not so much...just depends on whether you're willing to take the chance and at least you can return any item that isn't as described.

Why worry?
There is no "power cord" with a GPU.
As for "minor cosmetic damage", they've said that about cards that I've got and they've been brand new. And even if there are a few scratches, you only ever see your GPU when putting it in and out of your computer anyway. It's like having a car engine with a little scratch on it - who cares?
As for "accessories", there's usually just the disk.
I wouldn't worry.

Decided to send those dresses back, even though I particularly like the first one, taking a chance from fleabay.
I guess it really just depends on what you are looking for as to whether it is a good deal or not...I wasn't after any electrical items although in saying that I'm still over the moon with my popcorn maker impulse purchase @ £2.14 and have already had £2.14's worth of childish pleasure from it (yes I know I possibly need to get out more :stuck_out_tongue: )...
I have got some real bargains though on non-electrical warehouse items that I had had on my wishlist for a while and they happened to be included in the 20% off so really happy especially as I've saved approximately 80% on most of them over the new price...
3 items I've only paid 12.8% of the original price although I suspect this may have been due to them being more of a "specialist" item for want of a better term and as such they may have had a bit of difficulty shifting them...yes I bought 3 X UK Wooden Pet Cremation Urn for Ashes, Elstree 7" Medium for £6.27 each instead of £49 and they have arrived today....2 of them are absolutely mint and the other has a small scratch on the side...not even really a scratch but more of a natural slight split in the wood if that makes sense.
I also have to say I'm the first to admit I wasn't too impressed about the PS4 console prices due to the flash sale prices on the PS4 last year with the 500GB console brand new for £149 and the 1TB for £179GB in various versions across a lot of retailers so a second hand one for approximately the same price doesn't cut it for me now...but again each to their own and the prices are decent for those that missed out on them then
As I say though at the end of the day it really depends on personal perspective and what you are looking for and if you think the price is reasonable as to whether you find it a good offer.
titchyyyyy
11 May 17#488
Apologies - I didn't mean to make it sound like I was having a go at you, I was just explaining that there's been some epic deals so far and there are still quite a few on the warehouse for others.
Yep, I've kept my eyes on this monitor for a long time to make sure I buy the correct one, got lucky this time around. For anybody else who wants a 27" 144hz 1440p monitor, they're usually £300-350 on eBay at random times of the year. In my opinion, 1440p is the sweet spot for gaming, much preferred over my 4K panel.

Do any of you think that they will be adding more stuff to the deal OR bamboozle us with a better sale later in the year.... for example wait till they can shift as much stuff on this sale and then later on have a full blown sale with everything in the 'warehouse' section on sale?

Don't think that's the 144hz edition. Had someone else earlier on in this thread run into the same problem, may even be their return.
Could you link to it?

yes i know there's been 'AMAZING' deals but i'm stating that I haven't seen any when i've been looking.
i'm not a newbie or anything to this Amazon Warehouse deals malarky but this has been poor compared to the last time when it was off every item rather than selected items on a 13 page deal.

If you've read all the pages on this deal, you'll find there has been A LOT of amazing deals.
Personally, I was building a new computer setup and have managed to save around £250 on it. My budget was £800 for a GPU and Monitor and I've ended up spending £511 - something which would have cost me around £760 if I had gone elsewhere. Both items in brand new condition.

Very happy with this, Acer 27" 1440p monitor with 144hz refresh rate. I purchased one of these a couple of years ago for £275 brand new during a Black Friday sale but they're usually £400+ now elsewhere (OCUK, Scan, etc). The 60hz version sells for £300 brand new so this is a bargain for the 144hz version.

Wedding sash came, and a "pearl" promptly plopped off onto the floor (got fabric glue here so stuck it back on - will get someone to stitch it on - the other gems/beads are sewn on, which is a nice surprise). It's gorgeous - just hope bits aren't going to be falling off all over the place! I thought it might come with the ribbon, but it's just the applique itself (to attach to a ribbon or belt). Can't moan for £4. Looks gorgeous otherwise.
The EverPretty UK 14 dress is probably about the same size as the "UK 16" DressTells one, maybe even bigger! Maybe I'm a smaller dress size than I think :stuck_out_tongue:
It's a lovely colour, shame it doesn't fit. I will say the DressTells one trumps it for detailing and design, but I was expecting this dress to be slightly inferior from reviews - still nice though. My search continues

Doesn't help that I have lost two stone (and maintained it) in the past two years and I've avoided tight dresses for ages
I used to order a boyf Chinese undies and had to size two sizes up (UK M was a Chinese XL) - Chinese made clothing is always a bit of a lottery. For a huge purchase like a wedding dress and all the crapola with delivery and returns to China, I'd rather just try some on in a shop.
The DressTells size chart is very different to the EverPretty one, so not sure what's going on there!
HUGE thank you for answering...was going to see if I could save you returning it to Amazon and contributing to your quota of returns with them...not that any of us are quite sure what the returns quota is per account although I suspect I'm about to end up on their no fly list when they get my return to them of the 30 fake memory cards they sent me...
Anyway unfortunately it would definitely be far too big and my paws prevent me from attempting any kind of sewing alterations :stuck_out_tongue:
Keeping my paws crossed that it works out with your sister's dress though as like you I'd be a bit dubious about it

I ordered and canceled Xbox one S fifa 17 edition
Like new condition for 152 pounds after discount ,if somebody is after it can look now (should appear anytime now).
My sister has (rather unwisely, I think) opted for a Chinese made wedding dress elsewhere online, but it's custom sized and she's read lots of reviews so I hope she'll be okay. At least if I buy from Amazon Warehouse I have quick delivery/returns. Don't want to take the mick with returns!

I got one for £156, arrived fine Monday evening (ordered the first hour this deal was posted, I've been waiting a while). Box is grubby (dirty/sticky) (condition was used - good, some marks and original but damaged packaging), graphics card was unsealed but unmarked, didn't look like it had been installed and works fine, good bargain.

No broken TV's, just a set of broken headphones and 2 graphics cards that are A'OK.
First time I've ever clicked "No rush delivery" and this happens. Won't be doing that again for the sake of £1.
I'm more annoyed that the Customer Service guy was just like "So what do you want me to do about it" then palms me off with £3 gift card. £3. I've seen people get £50+.

Had 5 of my items "Get lost in transit" today. Not sure what happened, if they were stolen or crushed by another parcel or what.
Getting a broken tv is one thing, I didn't even get my items.
Got a refund + 1 months Prime + £3 but not particularly over the moon. The savings I made on the items were far more than a months prime and £3. Annoying -.-
Volta may be announced tomorrow and Vega this month also. Might be a little silly to invest heavily right now if you're short on cash anyway.
I only got the 1070 for my mate btw, not the 1080 too.

Ordered 2 Disney Infinity figures .. one was just wrapped in bubble wrap (no card/instructions etc.) another had been opened and resealed again with no card or instructions but was in it's original packing.
Figures themselves were fine, but not "like new" as described.
True enough. And the more that's spent on a wedding the shorter the time it tends to last! 20k+ on the wedding and nothing left for the deposit on a house.

If people see it's £20 they think it's cheap and am not wearing thtat to my £20k wedding. Put the same item for £200 people will snap it up.
There are 3 things people will not quibble on cost. Births, Weddings and Funerals.
Never ceases to amaze me how adding the word "wedding" or "bridal" to any item massively inflates the price

Yup when they sent me ONE bulb for £9 instead of the pack of 10 shown they said I HAD to return it , asked them 3 times if I could just keep it and they offered me some stupid discount like 15% off the one bulb so I could pay over 7 quid for it!!
I told them I am a full time carer , don't drive , post office is FAR , don't have the time for printing and packing and queuing etc and that there is a REASON I buy light bulbs online as I can't often get to the shops but NO was told I MUST return it for my refund
They removed my negative reviews as well , twice! lol
( It makes me wonder how they would expect a housebound / disabled person to return it? )

Says "1 x 3' Hanging decoration, 1 x 12m banner, 2 x 8 x 23cm Party Plates, 2 x 10 Party Cups, 1 x20 napkins, 1 x Necklace."

The few times (recently) I've had broken/damaged items they told me to return them, usually they just say we'll refund and you can dispose of it (one being these headphones https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00IKFAZY8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 one silver ear cap was missing, just glue showing! You could see it without opening the box! Used - Like New, bah). Got a returns label to print off.
The Mary Greenwell Cherry perfumes were all brand new and sealed - I got some, my sis got a few, but one was either sent out broken or broke in transit (Amazon pack so well, I'm really not sure of the latter). Even the Amazon parcel stunk of perfume - they told me to return it! The bottle was 1/4 full.
When I put my foot down and said, the bottle will leak even more on the way back to you - Amazon reluctantly agreed and I didn't have to send it back.

Nice, was about to buy a homeplug wifi hotspot plug... and its on the list.
Garden + garage can now have wifi off our homeplug network
I am not volunteering to be a 'product tester' when I order an item from Amazon warehouse just in case it was a faulty return and ''like new'' should not mean faulty just very minor cosmetic damage and they are losing out loads now it seems as people have obviously caught on they can send any old rubbish back in the box for a refund and keep the original item for free!
It is not good for any seller to have disgruntled customers tbh and it seems to be getting worse the amount of items which arrive broken or faulty from them on 'Warehouse deals' as other peoples broken cr*p is not a 'deal' and am thinking I will steer clear of electronic or breakable items from now on as it is definitely NOT worth the hassle as this thread has confirmed to me they check nothing at all ( which is not satisfactory )
I have got some good items from CEX which always work perfectly so I may stick with them for electronics as the prices are good and they have a 1 year warranty

This is my worry with Amazon Warehouse , am sure they do not bother to test the returns and of course a lot of returns are because they are faulty not just people changing their minds , have had a few faulty items off them myself and they used to come and collect them which they don't seem to do any more so yes last time I was ****** off as I had to queue up in the post office and go out of my way to return an item which was not as described ( pack of 10 lightbulbs , only ONE lightbulb sent for 9 quid! )
I still never learn though with the gamble as the stuff which has arrived ok has been a right bargain :smirk:

You've just confirmed you are a twit. You think it's "silly" to complain about inaccurately-graded items arriving broken (when Amazon Warehouse's T&Cs imply they do a top-notch, professional grading service) yet, like the hypocrite you are, you moan about Amazon elsewhere when you're unhappy.
As I said (you've either ignored it or you just haven't replied to it yet) Amazon's price refund policy ended a year ago now.

I think in terms of them not price matching once they reduce their price a day after it's silly.
Just how I think people buying second hand tv's for cheap when they know it's a gamble then complaining is silly. it's tantamount to going into a casino and complaining when you lose.

For someone so quick to defend Amazon over their business practices and to "take it on the chin" you seem somewhat hypocritical given you've gone to the trouble of posting specific grievences and noted how moronic their service has been to you.

I imagine it's calculated on total orders so it includes everything you've ever bought (or within a timeframe perhaps) but you probably get a pass on the first chunk of orders. Ski pants cost next to nothing to ship although they lose a lot of their value when they are no longer new for resale, make of that what you will for Amazon's algorithm; your guess is as good as mine

With discounts, I used to wait politely on Live Chat till someone offered, but now I just say "As a Prime customer, due to the late delivery/damaged item, is there some sort of compensation you can offer me?", saves hanging around and you are eligible for a month's Prime extension for a late delivery (part of the Prime T&Cs) or a few £ discount for a Warehouse item that's worse than described.
Obviously if the item in question is in awful condition it gets sent back!
Newbold
7 May 172#402
Likewise - but the way their algorithms view your account tends to dictate what they can offer. If you're seen as a profitable customer you do tend to get looked after pretty well.
dezontk
7 May 17#401
A lot of times you'll get something not quite as described, but that you wouldn't mind keeping. I normally just do the contact option email thing, then tell them the item isn't in the condition that was described or explain whatever the issue is, but that I would like to keep the item. I don't even have to mention a discount and then they normally come back with a discount / refund amount they'll give you. They're quite forthcoming with it.
Salfordgirl1

Think people are generally getting unlucky, I sent a lot of items back last year including 2 x 980ti's that didn't work. 200-250ish each? derp1664
7 May 17#398
Actually how profitable your account is (to Amazon) is more likely the only metric that they care about. Lots of horror stories of people having their decade-old accounts banned unfortunately.
From the quick bit of Google-fu I just did it seems like the magic number is 10% returns when you potentially get flagged, although that's a complete guesstimate on fairly scarce info.

Although what I received was brand new and unopened, and £125 cheaper than the £475 'new' price, it's becoming very clear that it's a gamble - although unhappy people are far more likely to post than happy ones.
Examining returns costs money, a lot of money, so chances are they don't bother to check more than a tiny % of returns - it's just too costly. Much cheaper just to create the illusion that you're checking (7DayShop are masters at this) and then just deal sympathetically with the small % that don't fit the description given. Great news if you're a fraudulent customer making a return, but not so good if you're on the receiving end.

There was discussion about Amazon's returns/bans rate and whether it included (wrongly graded/poor condition) Warehouse items on last year's Amazon Warehouse thread, and nobody really seemed to know. If Amazon do threaten you with a ban when most of the Warehouse items haven't been checked properly, that's really poor show.
I hope that I avoid that by showing photos and even video clips when I do a return (most of my returns are from Warehouse), maybe I'm just wasting my time!
elizabeth2005
7 May 171#391
I dont think they do even a cursory check never mind a thorough check, on items! It's a bit rich them banning you for returning Warehouse items that are not working. It's an automated system ,they don't care becaue system is always right.
They will ban your address and every address you use before ,for example : If you sent something to your girlfriend, mother etc(because you were on holiday),that address will be banned as well .
If you ask them they will tell you (We thoroughly test the functional and physical condition of each item and give the product a specific grade before selling it. ) and it's not possible that this item is not working but they will take it back no problem ,you will be banned after sending a lot of them back ,but who cares?.
You are just one in thousands.
They will never agree that they do crap like they doing now(Sending out not working items) because this could destroy their reputation and they will always deny it.

elizabeth2005

I doubt they'd penalise you for returning Warehouse items as they must know there is a high probablility of these being sent back as they are 'used' and clearly not checked by Amazon.

Yes, it's pretty poor compared to last year's, when there were £40 PS4/XBoxes, £150 Sony 4K TVs etc (though you had to be pretty quick to bag those sort of bargains). Last year they didn't just apply 20% discounts to specific items, most of the stock was discounted and the discounts seemed somewhat random and in many cases were way over 50%. Actually, I'd say there were better bargains on AW a few months ago than there are now.

When you have narrowed down your search category type this at the end of the url &pct-off=50-99

It's an "it depends" situation. Sometimes it take a few minutes - I did have one item on amazon.de go up by 40 EUR when I cancelled, then changed my mind and decided I wanted it!! Took a few hours to appear at the inflated price, though.
Sometimes you don't hit buy fast enough and it can reappear when the original purchaser decides to cancel.

I don't really want to get into a huge discussion on an Amazon thread but don't believe everything that a website like Techpowerup/Anandtech lead you to believe - you do realise that they are partnered with Nvidia and get paid for reviews/benchmarks, right? They follow strict guides and use specific drivers/settings to get the absolute 'edge' on ALL their cards.
Being a massive geek, I have 'personally' purchased & tested 1060/70/80 and 970/980/980ti. The 980ti and the 1070 are within a few frames of each other using the latest drivers, neither card is 'ahead', laughable that most people look at the popular websites and naturally think it's correct.
Very ignorant of you but I guess that's why these companies get paid a lot of money from Nvidia, AMD and Intel, etc.
Just for your reference;
Techpowerup (the link you posted) has the 980ti at 32.7fps on Crysis 3 at 1440p. (which is a complete joke and a lie)
Trustedreviews has the 980ti at 62.56 on Crysis 3 at 1440p. (A true benchmark, I get a similar average on my rig)
Anandtech has the 980ti at 82fps on Crysis 3 at 1440p. (Think they used high settings instead of very high for this one)
The point is... Test it your self, rather than listen to 'salesmen'.

Bad experience for me, I'm afraid. :disappointed: I was aware it was a gamble but I so wish I hadnt bothered. Ordered a used, good condition Igenix Dehumidifier for £65, which is about half full price. Been wanting one of these for ages at a decent price as they are pretty expensive for what they are.
I definitely would agree Amazon dont bother to test these returns, but just send them out again. It was obvious within a couple of minutes that the manual controls were faulty. (I did try and work out if I could fix the problem, but no)First - and last - time I will take a chance on electrical goods.
Awhile back I tried some 'used' headphones from Amazon Warehouse and that was a stupid thing too as one ear was dead, but they were easy enough to return.
This time, things were not straightforward and I would say I wasted a couple of hours trying to sort the whole thing out from beginning to end. Had to phone Customer services, problem with return label, not enough options for return, then a trip by foot with a very heavy parcel to a Pass My Parcel drop off point and walk home.:disappointed:
Ah well, it reminded me why I rarely use Amazon these days, except for a few cheap market place books! :smirk:
They put £4 quid on my gift card as an apology but certainly wasnt worth the hassle. And of course, I still await my refund.
Good luck! Great if you get a bargain, but can be a real pain returning larger faulty items.

Everyone's aware it's a risk, but like I've said already (and other people have mentioned), you get some cracking deals. However, just because there's a risk doesn't mean that we don't have a right to let people know what could potentially go wrong. Amazon should have a simple visual check policy when they recieve a return. Evidently they don't, which is unsatisfactory on occasion, and a bonus other times!
Not everyone will be aware though of the risks associated with the warehouse so what's the big deal about letting them know some bad experiences?
I've ordered around 70 items from the warehouse alone and I've only had to return about 15 - 20. That's not terrible, but it's not exactly a shining example either. Some of the things I have kept I have been borderline, but it wasn't worth the effort of packaging it up and sending back and I was happy enough.
I've voted this deal hot anyway as my overall opinion is that you can get a great deal. Get off your high horse though and let people have their opinions!!!!

But me and you both know Amazon don't check or care. They pay many employees based on 0 hour contracts. Employees are put under huge pressure and won't have time to properly check the items.
You're complaining about something we all know - Amazon don't grade items well. You know that prior to buying an item. So there's no point getting it and then complaining when you knew beforehand.
louiselouise
6 May 173#351
Salfordgirl1, I find your argument really strange, and calling people "entitled and stupid" is just rude - "It's not hard to ask yourself "Why has this delicate item been returned?". You should EXPECT it to come broken and hope that it doesn't."
Surely you mean, if an item is broken - it shouldn't be on Amazon Warehouse in the first place?! Does the retailer have no culpability whatsoever?
I want Amazon to ask themselves, why do you not bother to check items obviously fit for the bin - you can easily see in a split-second some are not even worth grading?
Returning a memory card isn't much hassle. Returning a TV or any large consumer electronics item is a massive pain in the rear and great inconvenience unpacking, testing, complaining*, repacking, waiting in for the courier.
And what about the "Like New" items I and many others no doubt have received, that have been completely far off the mark and busted?
On the flip side, sometimes the stars align and you find an Amazon Warehouse item is better than described - I've definitely had that happen with watches that have "imperfections", yet are brand new when they arrive.
Don't get me wrong, I love Amazon Warehouse and when it's great it's amazing, but prepare to be very disappointed as well, at times.
*When I complain, I am thorough as I want to prove it's a legitimate return - I take pictures, and if need be, I even take a video clip.
Salfordgirl1
6 May 17#350
Because people are acting very entitled and very stupid.
People know that buying from a warehouse is risky. People then choose to buy something fragile that could be:
1) Damaged during manufacturing
2) Damaged during transportation to Amazon
3) Damaged during transit to customer A
4) Damaged in the care of Customer A or bait and switch
5) Damaged on return
6) Damaged in storage
7) Damaged in transit to you
It's not hard to ask yourself "Why has this delicate item been returned?". You should EXPECT it to come broken and hope that it doesn't.
I've bought 4 GPU's from Amazon Warehouse, all have come to me brand new and I've been able to register the warranty online with all of them. GPU's can be quite tough to break and it's usually easy to test them. You plug them in and if you've got an image, it's working.
Like I said earlier, it's very sad that the only things people seem to be looking for are consumer electronics (phones, tvs, headphones, mp3 players etc) that break easily and aren't even that heavily discounted during this sale.
johnw84
6 May 173#349
It's really bizarre that people are so keen to defend this as ok. It's cheaper to have disappointed customers and it's not that much hassle, so why not take a chance when sending out goods?
I'll still use amazon warehouse, and have already bought lots of stuff from it. However when it's blatantly obvious they didn't even open the box (there's no way it was damaged in transit unless they opened the box and hit it with a hammer before resealing) and now inconvenience me with waiting in for collection and being without the money till a refund is processed, then yes I do feel that I am very justified in complaining.
I can entirely understand there's a limit to how much they can check, but pulling something out the box should be a basic expectation. Had the TV shown a fault that only appeared after an hour of use, I'd be completely fine. It is NOT out of the realms of realistic to expect each item returned to Amazon to have a visual inspection before being resold.
Likewise, it's not 5 minutes work for everyone to return if they have to wait for a collection - that's massively inconvenient. Though in this case, really the only option for me.
As i said, this is the chance you take. I and lots of others have had great deals and this is the first real instance where amazon should have done better. I've returned two graphics card previously that were dead ( and took hours testing to ensure it wasn't another fault in the pc). I understood though that it's not realistic to expect amazon to test every pc component fully.

I don't care how much cost to hire people etc.
but if you have something like this on main page of this deals :
How do you evaluate a product's condition?
We thoroughly test the functional and physical condition of each item and give the product a specific grade before selling it.
Than you suppose to check them in this way
My Tv came not working at all (5 seconds test would tell you this is not working) ,then obviously it has not been tested.
What I'm trying to say is that will be better if they state on main page you will be working as tester and that's why we give you discount etc.
One time you will win ,next time you will not .
I did not agree to be a part of amazon tester programme and give them my money for minimum 1-2 weeks and wait for delivery and than pack everything back and wait for courier to collect this(you cannot send back TV or similar big things via post office drop off service) .
Salfordgirl1
6 May 17#347
How many people do you think it would take to properly test 150,000 items+?
Even when testing there may be a scenario where you can't see the fault. E.g. You only see a screen imperfection on 100% brightness or when displaying certain colours.
So you hire at least 100 people (Only a small allocation of 1,500 items each to test mind...) at 20-30k+ a year. You're then spending millions a year to test used items, which the consumer is going to test anyway.
Cheaper for them to invest in postage deals and have a grumpy customer.
As for "OMG SO MUCH HASSLE, NEVER AGAIN". You put the item in the box the way you got it. You use a bit of wrapping tape on the crack. You print out a label. You take it to a post office. It's hardly a back breaking amount of work, you can return something in 5 mins or less.

MSI NVIDIA GTX 970 Gaming Twin Frozr - £152.75 - Around 2-4% slower than the GTX 1060 6gb (£220 used, £230 new) but slightly faster than the 3gb version (£170 used, £185 new).
I can see why they don't bother testing these things as they barely cost anything to send out. I purchased an i5 processor and it was DOA, you could tell that somebody has pulled it from a system since it still had some thermal paste on it.
Seems like a lot of people abuse the Amazon system and buy new/used items only to send their broken version back, an easy warranty service...
Have been very lucky with warehouse items my self, 9/10 items usually work perfect without any issues.

Typical for them they don't check any returns just send away again...
I had same story with 40 inch tv (came not working,I had to send it back for refund) That's why somebody returned this in first place..... .
Same with RX I have bought came with fault ( artifacts ) after you instal it in windows (never been checked as well) .
It's a big hit and miss game wit all these items (sometimes brand new, sometimes not working).
I think is cheaper and easier for them to send this out to somebody and if is really not working(2 persons confirm that) they just scrap it.
Cheaper than pay some specialist to test it I suppose .

Ordered the LG 4k tv in "good" condition. Turned up with a massive dent in one corner and the screen cracked! Smashing work amazon! The box had no indication that it had been dropped, so I'm assuming the previous owner returned it broken and amazon just shipped it out again.
Return organised for 6pm on Monday apparently. Furious!
Hmmm. I checked a few times and never saw the 1080 Amp Extreme at that price.
The improved DX12 performance goes for everything current gen due to new architecture, so I meant compared to the 980Ti.
I can't tell you which to keep, but at 1440p I'd probably make do with the 1070. An extra £120 (43%) for a few games you can't max out with the 1070 doesn't seem like a decent return to me. In addition, Zotac do not have transferable warranties and it's not clear as to whether you'd get one with their card. If it wasn't registered with the original owner, there's the chance they won't pay attention to the invoice and will honour it, but if it was then you're probably out of luck. EVGA cards do have transferable warranty - you literally just need the serial number to do a "Guest RMA". They also allow you to remove/swap out coolers etc. without voiding it, and generally have much better customer service.
My 1080 arrived today (EVGA) and it had not yet been registered. It works fine, so I'll be cancelling my 1080 Amp Extreme order, if anyone else wants one I'd keep a look out

Just received my Nvidia GTX 980ti OC edition (factory overclocked by 12%);
Paid £230.66 for it, description was "Used - packaging may be damaged". There happened to be a small rip on the box and that was it. The actual card was brand new and still sealed.
Although the actual card was released in June 2015, it's on par with the GTX 1070 in terms of pure FPS, a card which costs £360~ at least. Safe to say, I'm quite happy! It's a shame I wasn't greedy and bought two!

Electrical items tend to be low margin considering there cost so it's rare to get a decent discount on current models. It's not that nobody buys anything else, it's just a rarity to good discount on a games console or whatever.
I could walk to my local high street now and find 20-30% off furniture somewhere so, to me at least, it's not as big a deal to find a cheap item through Amazon Warehouse.
Seems to be unopened! My niece is still a teen and says she doesn't like the style, guess I can sell it on if she really hates it.

In saying that as I said before the Warehouse items really can be hit or miss...I've received quite a lot of items in the past that looked as if they had never been touched whereas others looked as if they'd been well used but still think it's worth the gamble when I think of the savings I've made on those things that have been perfectly ok...

Just as a counterbalance to some of the negative comments about Amazon Warehouse Deals, this was my experience:
Amazon new price: £475
Best available online price: £450
Amazon Warehouse price paid: £350
Arrived today (description was "Condition: Used - Like New - Item has no cosmetic imperfections. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged.") in undamaged, probably even unopened, original packaging. Contents were very clearly unused, and unopened. In reality, brand new, at a huge £125 saving.
The original Amazon despatch label was still on the package, showing a 26 April delivery date. It's felt-tip marked 'NOC' (Network Operation Centre?) so I'm guessing it was rejected by the original purchaser on 26 April, returned to Amazon, and added to their Warehouse Deals list - that stacks up, because I've been watching these for a while now, and this one's only appeared very recently.
So in reality it's a brand-new return, on sale initially at £437 instead of £475, and then marked down to £350 after the 20% reduction - a bargain in anyone's book!
Thanks again, OP - I'd never have spotted this without your post, and the outcome will mean I'll be able to sell it on eBay when I've finished with it for pretty much what I've paid for it.

They do jack the prices of many of these products up by circa 20% just before this deal though. A few of the items I saw only yesterday that are in this deal have gone up by that magic figure of 20%. Just a heads up...don't use them....have just been running tests on several of the ones that I bought and they are most definitely FAKE cards...further the serial numbers on all the cards I've opened are identical as are the serial numbers for the rescue pro download...
Started reading the negative Amazon reviews (wish I'd done so before ordering but didn't think that Amazon themselves would be selling fake memory cards) and so many people have bought these cards directly from Amazon...not third party sellers and have found them to be fake...apparently one of the real giveaways are the yellow lock tab on the side...Sandisk only uses grey...all mine have yellow lock tabs...the MADE IN CHINA on the back of each card should be embossed not printed...
Think another giveaway with the ones I haven't bothered to open is that a lot of the labels are stuck on the front of the card at angles (e.g. askew) which I wouldn't expect from Sandisk...a 3 year old child...yes...Sandisk...no...lol...
Mind you I've been using Sandisk cards for long enough to know when they just don't look "right" if that makes sense and I thought there was something dodgy looking about them as soon as they arrived....anyway the whole lot of mine are going back but Amazon really shouldn't be allowed to get away with selling fake cards....

Here's my order.
So you think keep the 1070 over the 1080 for the £100 price difference? Not sure what you mean RE DX12 performance where 1070/1080 are concerned? 1080 is stronger everywhere by some margin.
I'm currently on an AMD Fury, which to be honest is absolutely fine - I just like shiny stuff. Not sure the step up is large enough with a 1070, but Iit would probably only cost me £75~ by selling the Fury.
jakeythesnake
5 May 17#305
Keep the 1070. It's ~10% faster than the 980Ti, uses less power, and has better DX12 performance - which is becoming more relevant.
The Amp Extreme was £397? Are you sure?
This is the only price I've seen for it, though the EVGA one was ~£397.

Now not sure whether to keep the 1070 (£280) or the 1080 Amp Extreme (£397)...
I game at 1440p and have no plans for 4K, but the extra legs in the 1080 could maybe see me though another 3/4/5 years potentially where as I think the 1070 probably has 2/3 before I get itchy feet.

The R7000 has a rock solid reputation.
It doesn't have the latest MU-MIMO stuff though I don't think.
It's supported by custom firmware makers, I use Advanced Tomato on mine and it works well, lots of options but also simple.
They all overclock to 1.1Ghz without any problems.
The R8000/R8500 from reading around aren't very good routers.
I'd wait it out for an R7800 to appear again used, or get an R7000.
Just my opinion though, spent a couple of hours looking into it yesterday and came away pretty turned off from anything R8xxxx
If you want it for VPN then you will be getting about 35-38mbit with an R7000. If you are paying for 80mbit fibre or better then it's not a good idea to get it but for standard fibre which is supposed to be max 40mbit then it's ideal.
If you aren't connecting by VPN then the R7000 is a good choice.

The R7800 is superior at £105 "like new"
The R8500 is for lots of users but it's actual CPU is slower than the R7800 unless for distributed load applications which is only relevant in 30+ user environment.
Just a quick one input item to basket which has the special off and the note saying 20% off but still has full price so I have to go through all the card part and address before price lowers?
I managed to get a Brother printer when this deal was last on. It only cost £17 (normally £100) but someone had nicked the inks. Rather annoying at the time but managed to buy a pair of compatibles for £12. Anyway, for some reason Amazon refunded me in full there and then over chat - couldn't believe it. I only contacted them to moan about it. I didn't expect to be refunded in full.
Anyway, check the item description. I've been fairly lucky of probably about 100 warehouse items over the course of a few years including things such as shoes, perfumes and headphones which were all new with massive reductions. Not only that, but if the product hasn't been registered, you can have the 1 year warranty with amazon if it were to fail (simply return it for full refund and amazon will pay/reimburse you for return costs) and whatever you should receive from the manufacturer too. HIH
I have one of these as a nursery camera, good kit, but I paid £69 from Amazon (new).

As is yours by exagerating prices.
If you want to offer "low" prices on the actual parts and now comparable:
FSP 750w = £60 (CCL) £40 cheaper than you list
INWIN 805 = £107 (Scan) £43 cheaper than you list
Asus Z170-P Motherboard = £80 (CCL) £20 cheaper than you list
SK Hynix SC300 (OEM) 512GB M.2 = £132 (CCL) £28 cheaper than you list
Even across those few components, you've exagerated the cost by £131!

Love warehouse deals. Had a few faulty items but Amazon always sorted out quickly.
Bought a phone for girlfriend, was basically new. After 10 months she dropped it and cracked screen.
Contacted Amazon to see if they could help me out with a receipt with IMEI for insurance. Advisor said they couldn't but not to worry and refunded me there and then, was gobsmacked.
Always a risk you can get something unacceptable but a risk worth taking if the price is right.

Nothing wrong with that. Made by ZooStorm & a decent warranty (if it's covered - unsure how they would class warehouse items) Zoostorm CS is very helpful you could try phoning them to find out if it's a concern for you.
If you add up the parts after the 20% discount you are probably getting the labour very cheap. Without the discount a little harder to advocate.

Amazon state:
Amazon Warehouse Deals is a trading name of Amazon EU Sarl, and is part of the Amazon.com group. It specialises in offering great deals on returned, warehouse-damaged, used, or refurbished products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.co.uk rigorous standards
so I think it fair to assume some stock is used.

Every single GPU company voids your warranty when you replace the thermal paste.
You're deconstructing the item and could easily break it. They're well within their rights to void your warranty. Just as if I deconstructed my phone, tv or stereo then I would void my warranty.
It's childish complaints like this that unfortunately earn companies a bad name.
derp1664
3 May 17#181
Printers specifically are a tricky one;
12 months warranty - yes
Ink included - likely yes (unless details specify ink/toner missing)
Ink full & unused - tough one, could go either way
Return - yes amazon will always accept returns no quibble, they will pay return postage if it's "not as described" or similar and their description of item condition is vague enough that it always can be.
Hope that helps
Oh and regarding contacting Amazon there is an option for 'Not about an order' or just pick an old order and use live chat or request a call back

Hi!
I'm thinking of buying a printer on this deal. Could anyone confirm I can still have 1 year warranty? Will I pay for postage if want to return it within 30 days? If it's used but saying it will come with started toner does it mean someone used the toner so I can get virtually empty one or it will be new starter toner just used printer?
Thanks!
Ps. I was trying to start chat with amazon but apparently I can contact with them just about order I already placed not future one.

Personal experience; Zotac RMA is awful, like never again levels of bad. They have a UK RMA centre but they don't accept RMA's (!!!!) you have to send your cards to Hong Kong. Plus they are pretty keen to void warranties for any tiny reason they can find... like replacing thermal paste for example, heaven forbid someone should do that
They're not getting any more of my money.
Salfordgirl1
3 May 17#177
It's the best 1080 there is IMO. On face value £397 or whatever it is is a good deal. Anything sub £400 is.
I got my MSI for £350, but I was really hoping for the Zotac but just didn't want to risk the bending and, as I said, paying £20 for a tiny bit of plastic to hold it just bugged me. The MSI is good, but in terms of features, temperatures, lighting, sound etc it's inferior to the Zotac.
I'd say it's a very good deal. I wouldn't worry about warranty, Zotac are turning into a premium card maker and their warranty seems to be good. Quite a lot of people say they're scared of Zotac and returns etc but that's mostly down to them being a Chinese company rather than actual experience. They're a good company IMO.

So strange to see the polarizing views on events like this.
I got about £1,000 worth of stuff for £200. Much of it like-new.
If you're early and you look hard you can find some incredible deals, it all depends on where you look.
If you look for the obvious items like laptops, tvs or consoles you're going to be disappointed. Those are the first things anyone is going to search for.
If you're after furniture or more obscure items you can find some amazing deals. E.g. I got an ornament that is £300 everywhere else (Even broken ones have sold for £300+ on Ebay) for £70.
Think outside the box. These events are a rat race and you have to think outside the box sometimes to get the true potential out of these deals.

Yep, it says Used.
However, and I've replied to your comments about underwear twice now - Amazon Warehouse listings are ropey with their grading. I've had Like New items arrive totally fit for the bin (not talking about clothing/lingerie in this instance), or Used - Good items that were completely unopened (eg, watches that say "cosmetic imperfections" which are still sealed and unopened).
With bras and knickers - I've bought loads. Sometimes the plastic bag or box is opened, but they have all still had the manufacturers tags on them and were unworn.
TL;DR: Underwear items are absolutely fine and as new, every time I've bought from Warehouse. Warehouse's gradings system is patchy at best.

Also on an R7000 here, the R7800 is way better just down to it's CPU being 1.7Ghz vs 1.1Ghz most people can overclock to with the R7000 = VPN goodness.

some of us Louise don't have the time to travel through the whole thread. mine was a serious question? as to how they're allowed to sell things like these 2nd hand I wasn't being childish
Re hairdryers, I got this Ermila Dynamic 2 Tourmaline Hairdryer (AC Motor, 2200W, 470g, tourmaline coated front grill, compact size) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ermila-Compact-Dynamic-Tourmaline-Dryer/dp/B001MTY2GG for £6.27 at the beginning of the April. Brand new and nozzles etc all sealed. Seems to be really solidly made.
It had an EU plug so I got a partial refund (snipped it and put a UK plug on). Ermila seems to sold in places like Germany etc but owned by Wahl.

Not everybody has your GTX 780. I bought a reference design XFX 4GB RX 480 on launch that unlocked to the 8GB model. It also undervolts brilliantly. No issues whatsoever.

Read the reviews for the RX480, not much of an increase over my GTX 780, and definitely not worth the £145 worth of issues that XFX has for me. Maybe something better will show up.
markiemarcus
3 May 17#116
With the 20% discount this is cheap (154 quid) for an 8GB RX 480:
They went quite quickly after the post emerged. Just keeping checking and you will get one near to that price without this discount. Possibly a tenner more. Ps if your after just damaged box.
£73 for the previous model (which I also owned), which frankly performs no worse than the R7800.

Excellent. Just picked up a 2tb Seagate ST2000VM003 for £42.53,which is good because they're normally around £71 brand new. This one appears to have been a customer return, so should effectively be new.
Will work just fine in my PVR, as these drives are low power, 5900rpm drives, designed specifically for video recording

Sadly no...they stopped honouring retrospective price drops...only way to get at the lower price is to return it and re-buy but would obviously depend whether a) you've used it and b) whether the saving you'd make is worth the return costs.

Came across this deal by accident as I'd had some products from the Warehouse on my Amazon wishlist and was checking to see if one of them had dropped any further in price and noticed the 20% off offer on it so "investigated" the offer further and found the big banner on the front page of the Warehouse section on Amazon's website...so no didn't receive any email notification from Amazon and was an "accidental" finding...hope that makes sense :innocent:

dcx_badass
3 May 172#92
Or just do £140 * 1.25 = £175.
We know £140 is with 20% off which is 1/5, that means that the current price is 4/5, so *1.25 to increase it by 1/4 so you end back at 5/5.
Thanks, I'll give it a careful inspection and hope for the best!
Just a word of warning...
I've had a Supergraph drawing set for £7.42 in my basket for a few days so thought I'd check if it had gone in the promo. Even though it's a warehouse deal the 20% wasn't coming off it so I searched on the promotion page for the same item. It came up in the promotion but they've bumped the start price up to £9.95!! So it's actually more expensive to buy it in the 20% off deal!!
Saved myself a good 54p there! :confused::smile:

I've bought Sloggi knickers on my mum's behalf as she works in a care home and gives them to a few of the residents she knows well.
They are all as new, not sure why Warehouse grades them as Used (Warehouse's gradings system is usually fictional or inaccurate at best). I've even got myself a few bras/knickers and they're usually unopened, but always unworn.

I agree with things that take some faffing, but I've only bought electronics from the Warehouse. Either they work or they don't and sending them back isn't too difficult. Absolutely worth a punt for a £40 discount on a console, for example.
GenEarth
3 May 17#76
There are some bargains to be had but all in all it seems Amazon creep up the prices on warehouse in the run up to these offers, especially on games consoles, an example being the PS4 slim gamer pack which was just over £200 last week but is now £281... And it's a similar story across the board, like new ps4 slim was £155, it's now £219.
Appreciate the effort by the OP but I personally find that most deals are nothing of the sort.
£140 is the reduced price. You want to find the original price.
1) 140 * 100 (as 100 is the original percent) = 14000
2) 14000 divided by 80 (as we know 140 was 80% of the original price because there was a 20% discount) = 175
Answer = £175 was the original price.
We can check this; 20% of £175 is £35. £175 minus £35 = £140.

I have had probably a 40% success rate in purchasing from amazon warehouse. Items are too often broken or incomplete. Its a risk. However, amazon customer service is superb. I purchased a sony tv 11 months ago through warehouse and it developed a fault where it would turn itself off after a couple of mins of use. I was worried amazon would politely remind me there is no warranty, but they offered me a no quibble collection and refund.
So you will get your money back but its a pain in the **** sorting returns, dismantling items you've perhaps spent ages installing (graphics cards, cat flaps, light fixtures) etc. Considering the discounts are not that deep, it might make sense just to look around for the best price for the new item.

Same here, ordered a £500+ card from the warehouse, when it arrived it was a similar looking card but much lower spec and worth like £150. Someone is buying cards, swapping them and sending them back to Amazon. I alerted them to this but guess it's impossible for them to train the returns people to spot the subtle differences between a high and low spec card... I returned it and Amazon were great about it. Did wonder what is in place to stop someone doing the old "switcheroo".

"I got a Switch", sure you did, despite them not listing anything at all for the Switch. I've been up for the past 10 hours or so checking items, spent a few hundred and got some good stuff. Why people want to lie on an internet forum I don't know.
Salfordgirl1
3 May 17#55
Honestly, depends how the manufacturer process the warranty.
Some, like GPU makers, just need the bar code and won't ask for an invoice. If the GPU only came out 2 months ago and it's a 3 year warranty, no point in them asking for one. Depends on the item.

The Amazon FAQ at bottom of the page linked below says products come with no warranty but covered by Amazon satisfaction guarantee . Also says "All of our products are backed by Amazon's satisfaction guarantee. If you are unsatisfied with the product for any reason, you can return the item in accordance with Amazon's Returns Policy." If you click on Returns Policy it says 30 days.
I've no experience of returning an electrical item from warehouse after 30 days just going off info on the Amazon website.

I've heard of that happening a lot (I'm probably thinking as far back as last year's 20% off thread).
Memory cards, PC components, even perfumes (be wary of Open Box scents - most of my Warehouse perfumes have been sealed, thankfully). Haven't had a switcheroo happen yet but I have had my fair share of "Used - Like New" busted items that a blind man must have inspected, or the infamous caked-in earwax in-ear headphones I moaned about ages ago - had that happen loads of times with in-ears.

The only problem with open box items, is sometimes there are items missing.
Case in point last year I bought a clock with rotating pendulum in hard wood case for 50% off which I pleased with until it arrived. Half of the clock was missing.

Admittedly still really annoyed about the fake memory cards that Amazon dispatched to a lot of people including myself :disappointed:
I also managed to pick up a MSI Z170 Tomahawk motherboard to replace my existing one, that worked as expected.
Even at £3-4 I'd be tempted but at £9-12 you're having a laugh.
Considering they usually use their own couriers the cost of delivery isn't too high either - mostly just petrol + wages.
I am sure they have some tax incentive (dodge) if they give them away to a charity, who then sell them on for cheap
You can buy them for £1 from a charity shop or even Ebay, yet a used Amazon Warehouse book is £12+. Considering they have 70,000 books, you'd think they'd want to shift them.
Going by what I had last year I avoided some things and thinking the reasons why they were returned to see if worth getting, like wrong size, dont fit, no 6 pin connector, etc. and looks like I got lucky.

I had a hand-written note in the box, with the customer's name, address, phone number and email on it. Thankfully, the item itself was fine (it was a Hudora scooter). I complained but Amazon simply apologised and never really responded....

This is the same percentage on what I got last year near enough so its about right for me, but I have seen so many items costing more used than new which is a joke tbh
When I think about it now I should have sent them a note asking them why they'd returned the product to Amazon and enquired if it was faulty :stuck_out_tongue:
Also, inside the second monitor box was an envelope with the contact details of an Amazon customer - presumable the person who sent the monitor back to them before I received it. The contact details were in an envelop with an order number handwritten on the outside. I think finding someone else's contact details in a package from Amazon is a little troubling.
What I did notice when I arranged the return, that I was not asked what was wrong with the monitor, also the return slip doesn't ask for this information either. It's no wonder faulty items get sent back out, as they probably don't even know what's wrong with them!
Worked out at 400 with discount
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001NPJGN8
Courier picked it up the next morning though and I ordered the last one of them they had left so fingers crossed.
If you get on to Amazon Customer Services, you should be able to push for a partial refund to cover the cost of the missing part.... if they dont offer enough... tell them the cost of the part needed (pick one that is the cheapest suitable item) and push a little more with them.... its always worth a try
There was also an LED nail lamp for £1-odd, missed it!!
Edit: I read a few reviews before buying these, this sheet mask gets good reviews on Ulta, etc https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/tony-moly-i-m-real-mask-rice.html (£5 each here)!
TonyMoly Im Real Mask Sheet - Rice - Clear Skin - 10x21ml for £4 (including 20% off) https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00HVK99P4
Its a big hit and miss with these warehouse deals (one item with exactly the same description can come brand new or used heavilly (way more than 30 days) by someone or not working etc. )
The box came fairly damaged and ripped. The keyboard itself looked new though.
Plugged it in and it's completely dead. Key presses aren't registered.
Do they even check the items returned??
There is no "power cord" with a GPU.
As for "minor cosmetic damage", they've said that about cards that I've got and they've been brand new. And even if there are a few scratches, you only ever see your GPU when putting it in and out of your computer anyway. It's like having a car engine with a little scratch on it - who cares?
As for "accessories", there's usually just the disk.
I wouldn't worry.
Condition: Used - Very Good - Front of the housing has minor cosmetic imperfection. Minor cosmetic imperfection on the top or sides of the item. Minor cosmetic imperfection on the bottom or back of the item. Missing power cord. Accessories may have cosmetic damage. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged. All purchases eligible for Amazon customer service and a 30-day return policy.

Acer Predator XG277HU 27" FREESYNC TN 144Hz Gaming Widescreen LED Monitor - Black/Red (UM.HG0EE.001)

All looking hunky dorky so far
and yeah louise that TV's still going strong now!
Pretty sure Victoriaa also got a huge Sony TV for under £200 as well (when the 20% offer was active, a year ago?). Though the panel was slightly dinged if I remember right?
There were lots of crazily-priced items last year. I still have an under-sink bathroom cabinet in my hall waiting to be assembled that cost me....£8.96! https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002MN9G6W (not the sexiest cabinet but it suits my needs).
Looks like you did get the 144hz version, nice price =)
Could you link to it?
i'm not a newbie or anything to this Amazon Warehouse deals malarky but this has been poor compared to the last time when it was off every item rather than selected items on a 13 page deal.
Personally, I was building a new computer setup and have managed to save around £250 on it. My budget was £800 for a GPU and Monitor and I've ended up spending £511 - something which would have cost me around £760 if I had gone elsewhere. Both items in brand new condition.
DressTells: https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1L2hgIXXXXXbCXpXXq6xXFXXX4/Red-White-Quinceanera-Dresses-2014-Asymmetrical-Quinceanera-Dress-Masquerade-Ball-Gowns-Red-Debutante-Ball-Gowns-for.jpg
EverPretty: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/71v-Mx-Il0L._UX522_.jpg
Might end up having to go to TK Maxx!
Anyway unfortunately it would definitely be far too big and my paws prevent me from attempting any kind of sewing alterations :stuck_out_tongue:
Keeping my paws crossed that it works out with your sister's dress though as like you I'd be a bit dubious about it
Like new condition for 152 pounds after discount ,if somebody is after it can look now (should appear anytime now).
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B01KI13K0W/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used
The DressTells dress (supposedly 2 UK sizes too small in most reviews) I ordered in a 16 - to fit a 12 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00QLZQ2VO
This EverPretty one I'm going to try in a 14, though I'm really not sure https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ever-Pretty-Womens-Sweetheart-Neckline/dp/B00SU6EDOK (going by their size chart) https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/71v-Mx-Il0L._UX522_.jpg Mind you, some say the size is accurate so that'll probably be another dud.
My sister has (rather unwisely, I think) opted for a Chinese made wedding dress elsewhere online, but it's custom sized and she's read lots of reviews so I hope she'll be okay. At least if I buy from Amazon Warehouse I have quick delivery/returns. Don't want to take the mick with returns!
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/1590308883/ref=sr_1_7_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1494458506&sr=8-7&keywords=karma
Anyway, trolls aside, I tried again to get another dress - let's see how I get on with a smaller size. Prefer the first dress' design but prefer this colour. £8.09 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ever-Pretty-Womens-Sweetheart-Neckline/dp/B00SU6EDOK
I'm more annoyed that the Customer Service guy was just like "So what do you want me to do about it" then palms me off with £3 gift card. £3. I've seen people get £50+.
Losing 5-6 items in the mail, not so much.
The smugness is strong in me :smirk:
Getting a broken tv is one thing, I didn't even get my items.
Got a refund + 1 months Prime + £3 but not particularly over the moon. The savings I made on the items were far more than a months prime and £3. Annoying -.-
£160 6gb 1060. Not bad.

I only got the 1070 for my mate btw, not the 1080 too.
Managed to buy my friend a 1070 for £230 and there was a 1080 yesterday for £360.
You just have to check A LOT, as they sell out in minutes. Have it open in the background, order it by newest first and highest price and then simply refresh every so often.
Reviews all say it's two UK sizes too small, and it's too big for me! Too big all over and I don't know any seamstresses. Very reluctantly going to have to return it :disappointed:
Figures themselves were fine, but not "like new" as described.
£213 for an AMD Nitro Fury.
Great deal for RX480 money!
There are 3 things people will not quibble on cost. Births, Weddings and Funerals.
Someone on etsy is selling it for funny money! https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/125328561/wedding-dress-sash-rhinestone-pearl
Usually price seems about £20-odd. Had to dig for reviews but found some here (at least, it appears to be the same) https://www.amazon.com/SoarDream-Bridal-Crystal-Rhinestone-Wedding/dp/B019IR4664
Never ceases to amaze me how adding the word "wedding" or "bridal" to any item massively inflates the price
I told them I am a full time carer , don't drive , post office is FAR , don't have the time for printing and packing and queuing etc and that there is a REASON I buy light bulbs online as I can't often get to the shops but NO was told I MUST return it for my refund
They removed my negative reviews as well , twice! lol
( It makes me wonder how they would expect a housebound / disabled person to return it? )
Creative Collection 21st Birthday Party Celebration Pack
Says "1 x 3' Hanging decoration, 1 x 12m banner, 2 x 8 x 23cm Party Plates, 2 x 10 Party Cups, 1 x20 napkins, 1 x Necklace."
Unsure of the quantities as the description is a bit confusing (assume the party plates come in two packs of eight, etc), but it's apparently £23.16 full price, so we'll see what turns up!
Garden + garage can now have wifi off our homeplug network
It is not good for any seller to have disgruntled customers tbh and it seems to be getting worse the amount of items which arrive broken or faulty from them on 'Warehouse deals' as other peoples broken cr*p is not a 'deal' and am thinking I will steer clear of electronic or breakable items from now on as it is definitely NOT worth the hassle as this thread has confirmed to me they check nothing at all ( which is not satisfactory )
I have got some good items from CEX which always work perfectly so I may stick with them for electronics as the prices are good and they have a 1 year warranty
Just how I think people buying second hand tv's for cheap when they know it's a gamble then complaining is silly. it's tantamount to going into a casino and complaining when you lose.
I'm not on anyones "side". I say it how I see it.
As for the "The smugness is strong", it was a Star Wars joke. i.e The force is strong in this one. The smugness is strong in me.
It's an internet forum - expect trolls, salt and sarcasm.
And for someone who acts as though they are Amazon's All Seeing Eye, why didn't you know this? (Re your second Amazon complaint from Ask that The_Hoff refers to):
This dress wasn't 20% off, but still good for £7.68, great reviews apart from the sizing. Plan to wear it to my sister's upcoming wedding (most reviews say it's two UK sizes too big, pesky Chinese dressmaker sizing)...fingers crossed https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00QLZQ2VO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Evidently the odds were high enough that this one came with no remote and a cracked screen!!!
I'm starting to think this is not to be :disappointed:
Admittedly I haven't got round to picking up all the bits that splattered all over my kitchen as in my excitement to try it out I totally forgot to place a bowl under the spout to catch the popped corn to start off with
Recieved them today, few light scratches and missing adhesive pads in one box.
The other one is similar but the GPS unit that attaches to the cam has been smashed. Still picking up readings so it might work. Was offered 20% off which knocks off another £6.
In-ear headphones "Like New" have been a state and a health hazard. I assume they'll probably be sealed and unopened, or they'll be disgusting. Take your chances!

best deal i can find and have found for ages.
ty op
I thought it had ended as the items I bought yesterday don't have the 20% discount promo showing any more
Obviously if the item in question is in awful condition it gets sent back!
From the quick bit of Google-fu I just did it seems like the magic number is 10% returns when you potentially get flagged, although that's a complete guesstimate on fairly scarce info.
Dashcam i got is faulty after testing so its going back, so far 7 items and 2 faulty
Examining returns costs money, a lot of money, so chances are they don't bother to check more than a tiny % of returns - it's just too costly. Much cheaper just to create the illusion that you're checking (7DayShop are masters at this) and then just deal sympathetically with the small % that don't fit the description given. Great news if you're a fraudulent customer making a return, but not so good if you're on the receiving end.
......not
(I would be as peed off as you are).
Ordered a Hisense tv for the bedroom, opened the box & it's a non-working Westinghouse TV in the box.
FGS!
I hope that I avoid that by showing photos and even video clips when I do a return (most of my returns are from Warehouse), maybe I'm just wasting my time!
Even if you were banned, you could just open another account with another email address.

Amazon gave me a partial refund and I got this for around £15 all in. Vax sent out the missing tools - and sis got the six year warranty!
Loads of other guff but I won't list them all! No Deals like this at all this year. Suppose it's good for my purse!
@BIGUSHEADUS, the 20% off offer is selected items only.
Thanks again OP.

You can do the following to target the best deals.
When you have narrowed down your search category type this at the end of the url
&pct-off=50-99
that will search for items with 50%+ off the RRP
you can change the 50 to other numbers to change the range you wish to look in for example
&pct-off=60-99 will search 60-99% off
Sometimes you don't hit buy fast enough and it can reappear when the original purchaser decides to cancel.
https://arstechnica.co.uk/gadgets/2016/06/nvidia-gtx-1070-review/2/
TLDR they peg it 10% faster, which at 100FPS is 10 frames, just like I said.
I've ordered something, cancelled it and 24+ hours on it still has not appeared back on Amazon warehouse...
Just for your reference;
I would just wait for the 3-4 times to buy anything :innocent:

https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/EVGA/GTX_1070_SC/19.html
There's a 10-15fps difference across most titles.
Not registered on EVGA site so have full 3 year warranty which is good.
SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE OF HUKD, SHAMMMEEEE!
Like new condition for £76. Looks a good monitor for general use and gaming if you don't have the most up to date GPU power
You're complaining about something we all know - Amazon don't grade items well. You know that prior to buying an item. So there's no point getting it and then complaining when you knew beforehand.
I understood though that it's not realistic to expect amazon to test every pc component fully.
but if you have something like this on main page of this deals :

Seems like a lot of people abuse the Amazon system and buy new/used items only to send their broken version back, an easy warranty service...
Have been very lucky with warehouse items my self, 9/10 items usually work perfect without any issues.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B014KTGF7I/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2OAJ7377F756P
Don't know if it's a load of mince, though :stuck_out_tongue: Think it's the same model here http://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopters/pp_133207.html
If all of these items are DOA I'm £800 out of pocket and have a load of hassle for something that should never have been couriered the length of the country in the first place.
Thank goodness hukd has a block button!
Good price, thermal performance pretty much the same as the newer x62 (£135).
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00N2A0FU0/ref=mp_s_a_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1494016683&sr=1-9&m=A2OAJ7377F756P&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65
Return organised for 6pm on Monday apparently. Furious!
Huge difference between £230.66 and £365.
It works fine, so I'll be cancelling my 1080 Amp Extreme order, if anyone else wants one I'd keep a look out
What a massive waste of everyone's time, cocks.
Received some random 27" Samsung panel, so someone has managed to deceive the warehouse team! Sending it back on Monday for a refund, re-ordered one in "Very good" condition which claims to have minor scratches, not happy!
Also purchased a 27" 144hz monitor for £198 'like new' which works amazingly with the card.
Just grabbed myself some LED GU10 bulbs for the kitchen
I could walk to my local high street now and find 20-30% off furniture somewhere so, to me at least, it's not as big a deal to find a cheap item through Amazon Warehouse.
Seems to be unopened! My niece is still a teen and says she doesn't like the style, guess I can sell it on if she really hates it.
First thing I always do with my Warehouse swag is take the "sticker of shame" off :stuck_out_tongue::laughing:
In saying that as I said before the Warehouse items really can be hit or miss...I've received quite a lot of items in the past that looked as if they had never been touched whereas others looked as if they'd been well used but still think it's worth the gamble when I think of the savings I've made on those things that have been perfectly ok...
That said you can get some great deals on here still.
The Amp Extreme was £397? Are you sure?
This is the only price I've seen for it, though the EVGA one was ~£397.
Sad to see that all anyone ever thinks of on these deals is consumer electronics, which is a big gamble with Warehouse.
Everything arrived today and other than some minor cosmetic issues (Lid for one of the boxes was snapped in half, but I'd only bin that anyway, and another the box was ripped but, again, I would only bin it). Other than that I've had no issues with my 20 or so orders from yesterday.
Looks like most have sold through, even last night there were a few Parrot Bebop's and Sky controllers on there.
If you want a decent videography drone, the only one really left to recommend is the Yuneec, which are decent and price is seemingly fine. The XciteRC racer is good value too, but completely different use case.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B019RWELDS/ref=sr_1_11_olp?m=A2OAJ7377F756P&s=warehouse-deals&ie=UTF8&qid=1493933911&sr=8-11&keywords=drone&condition=used
That's not a bad price for the Yuneec.
Depends what you need it for though and if the range of the Adv is something you required. I modded my P3S and I get near enough advanced range now.

Reviews are a bit concerning, though.
More returns for amazon from me then
Thanks for the heads up
Their performance is rubbish. 2.5MB/s write.
I have the old 30MB/s 16GB version, the write and read all above promised 30MB/s.
Someone returned fake cards, most likely. So do not buy the remain units. They may all be the person returned fake cards in exchange for the real ones.

I was looking at the DJI Osmo 4k, but still a little more than I wanted to pay.
I also found (and ordered) an EVGA 1070 SC Black Edition (As new) which reduced down to £280.
All that said, if Vega turns up in May as rumoured and is of 1080 standard for less money, they will both get returned.
Last time was a box of 12 Vileda Dishcloths, bought as a silly extra gift for my cleaning-obsessive mum. The box had obviously been ripped open, the recipient took 5 out, and returned it (might have my arithmetic wrong but it was nearly half-empty).
Amazon gave me a partial refund but it's still a pain having to chase up an error that isn't your fault!

I don't think that PC was a good deal and I think the guy breaking down the cost of the parts added at least £300-400 on top.
Thanks anyway :smirk:
*SNAP*
Don't forget if you have any Topcashback/Quidco you can cashout for an extra 3% amazon giftcard
Quidco email you the code but TCB you need to check your account
The R8500 is for lots of users but it's actual CPU is slower than the R7800 unless for distributed load applications which is only relevant in 30+ user environment.
VPN = R7800 all the way, just saying

Anyway, check the item description. I've been fairly lucky of probably about 100 warehouse items over the course of a few years including things such as shoes, perfumes and headphones which were all new with massive reductions. Not only that, but if the product hasn't been registered, you can have the 1 year warranty with amazon if it were to fail (simply return it for full refund and amazon will pay/reimburse you for return costs) and whatever you should receive from the manufacturer too. Only one faulty item, a bench grinder that tripped my RCD. Refunded without question by Amazon of course.
Besides aren't you going to say I guessed low on the 1080 and 32gb ddr4?
Anyone else been looking for a monitor and care to share your recommendations?
If you want to offer "low" prices on the actual parts and now comparable:
FSP 750w = £60 (CCL) £40 cheaper than you list
INWIN 805 = £107 (Scan) £43 cheaper than you list
Asus Z170-P Motherboard = £80 (CCL) £20 cheaper than you list
SK Hynix SC300 (OEM) 512GB M.2 = £132 (CCL) £28 cheaper than you list
Even across those few components, you've exagerated the cost by £131!
Then I I got a memory card.. Didn't work at all and never got a refund as sent back but they say they never got it back... Ooh wait that's 2 out of 2 fails but some amazing deals if you are lucky

It was a nightmare to sort out.
(Says "100% Synthetic" yet one review says "cotton material" - so Amazon's description could be off).
Frustrating as had to wait for a refund to be processed and missed out on some really good deals elsewhere.

+ wireless & windows and you are easily over £1500 and these are low estimates imho!
If you add up the parts after the 20% discount you are probably getting the labour very cheap. Without the discount a little harder to advocate.
Overall a good buy. Good luck getting it in the house lol
Now, in-ear headphones, totally different story. I've had a few that were in disgusting condition. Ear wax, worn away branding, the lot. One was graded as "Used - Like New" which is just baffling!

Amazon Warehouse Deals is a trading name of Amazon EU Sarl, and is part of the Amazon.com group. It specialises in offering great deals on returned, warehouse-damaged, used, or refurbished products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.co.uk rigorous standards
so I think it fair to assume some stock is used.
that's the second company i tried after evga. so far 100% allow it. stop talking nonsense
Is it a warranty,
Is it a guarantee...
NO, IT'S A WARRANTEE
"Childish" ok bud.
Cheers OP
You're deconstructing the item and could easily break it. They're well within their rights to void your warranty. Just as if I deconstructed my phone, tv or stereo then I would void my warranty.
It's childish complaints like this that unfortunately earn companies a bad name.
Oh and regarding contacting Amazon there is an option for 'Not about an order' or just pick an old order and use live chat or request a call back
Happy days.
They're not getting any more of my money.

They do these deals to clear their warehouses. Do you think they're going to heavily discount the tiny iphone or the big wardrobe?
Zotac 1080 GTX Amp Extreme - £397
(Seems £50-70 cheaper than eBay prices, but still unsure if I'll keep it. Would welcome thoughts?)
Parrot Zik 3 headphones (like new) - £120
I got about £1,000 worth of stuff for £200.
Cheap micro, current one is failing - There's a combi for about £20 more but to big for me.
Leaser toner, about £10 a cart so not worth refilling at that price and won't be caught short now
+ cheap glue gun, hair dye and a filter.

Box unopened and in great condition as far as I could see.
Stuff I had in my wish list has gone up by 20%
Buying warehouse deals and then contacting customer services to say it wasn't as described and looking for partial refund?
I've cancelled my order and so it should reappear as available at some point if anyone was after it.
I'm not in the buying and re-selling for profit game and think trying to do it at cost would probably be more hassle than its worth for both parties too... so GOOD LUCK to anyone who might want it!
"Can't use 4K", "this tv stating it is 4k is only 1080p ,the hdmi ports are only 1.5"
Also on an R7000 here, the R7800 is way better just down to it's CPU being 1.7Ghz vs 1.1Ghz most people can overclock to with the R7000 = VPN goodness.
Still can't hit 80mbit though so won't max top speed fibre but you'll need to spend £400+ on the R9000 to do that.
No Amazon Warehouse deal is suppose to be "used". It's just suppose to be damaged boxes or returns or rips or dodgey stock.
Ermila seems to sold in places like Germany etc but owned by Wahl.

how do you get a used Brita cartridge did someone use half then send it back
used?
Not everybody has your GTX 780. I bought a reference design XFX 4GB RX 480 on launch that unlocked to the 8GB model. It also undervolts brilliantly. No issues whatsoever.

Assuming you're careful with VRAM usage and not pushing really high res textures, 130 quid for a 3GB 1060 is also cheap:

162 quid for the 6GB 1060:

Look in there... ps - prices shown are BEFORE discount!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (!)
Some items I've had bookmarked have went down, some went up, so it's an "it depends" situation.
People keep getting the good stuff
Netgear R7800 (quite a few of them) AC Router for £101.
Excellent price for a solid router - I own one and can recommend to those in the market.

£73 for the previous model (which I also owned), which frankly performs no worse than the R7800.
Will work just fine in my PVR, as these drives are low power, 5900rpm drives, designed specifically for video recording
not only is a product I've been watching at its lowest price but it's also got the 20% off. bargain, but now £200 light!
Still think "(Current price*100) / (100-discount)" is easier to be honest.
EDIT: It appears most computer components aren't included. Sad.
We know £140 is with 20% off which is 1/5, that means that the current price is 4/5, so *1.25 to increase it by 1/4 so you end back at 5/5.
Thanks, I'll give it a careful inspection and hope for the best!
Saved myself a good 54p there! :confused::smile:
£189 for a PC with 2x monitors, crazy price for someone after such a thing.
My missus is going to kill me, but you only have one life eh?
They are all as new, not sure why Warehouse grades them as Used (Warehouse's gradings system is usually fictional or inaccurate at best). I've even got myself a few bras/knickers and they're usually unopened, but always unworn.
Appreciate the effort by the OP but I personally find that most deals are nothing of the sort.
Errrrrr, no thanks.
So you will get your money back but its a pain in the **** sorting returns, dismantling items you've perhaps spent ages installing (graphics cards, cat flaps, light fixtures) etc. Considering the discounts are not that deep, it might make sense just to look around for the best price for the new item.
A lot of expensive stuff like that has got snapped up. Most great deals get bought within minutes and I don't think they re-stock the special deals.
Beware of any of the deals people claim they've got on here. Lot of people telling porkies.
"I got a Switch", sure you did, despite them not listing anything at all for the Switch. I've been up for the past 10 hours or so checking items, spent a few hundred and got some good stuff. But you saying you got a Switch is nonsense, as are some of the other apparent "bargains" people have gotten.
Why people want to lie on an internet forum I don't know.
Some, like GPU makers, just need the bar code and won't ask for an invoice. If the GPU only came out 2 months ago and it's a 3 year warranty, no point in them asking for one. Depends on the item.
OR is it simply that you can't read properly? :stuck_out_tongue:
Sadly just read the packaging is damaged its missing the manual, power adapter, USBC lead, dock and the console BUT there are two left joycons.
At check out it should say -20% before you press confirm.
Am i reading that wrong as it sounds to me as amazon charge you the discount difference if you return an item?????

I've no experience of returning an electrical item from warehouse after 30 days just going off info on the Amazon website.

Also had the old switcheroo....ordered a WD 750GB 2.5-inch SATA Internal Hard Drive Blue but received a Toshiba 500GB instead...mind you it was in perfect nick and I kept it as it was only £9.07 and was only going to put it in an enclosure and store music on it.
Listing only said the below, I've not used Amazon Warehouse before but hopefully it's just the box damaged and not the actual item. Thanks!
"Condition: Used - Good - Minor cosmetic imperfection on the top or sides of the item. Minor cosmetic imperfection on the bottom or back of the item. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged. All purchases eligible for Amazon customer service and a 30-day return policy. "
Just ordered twin pack - 2 LAN port ZYXEL PLA5256 gigabit homeplug for £29.71!

Case in point last year I bought a clock with rotating pendulum in hard wood case for 50% off which I pleased with until it arrived. Half of the clock was missing. (rotating pendulum movement missing and the mirror panel and the institutions and warranty stuff) I was gutted as it was a gift. Customers service organized a instant refund but wasn't able to offer a replacement as they were out of stock. Which adds new meaning to the say: Let the buyer beware
Hope that it is of some help to you...sorry for slight delay in replying...got a bit distracted with the Warehouse Items I've been gathering up on my wishlist for some time and working my way through them to see what is worth buying
Ignore this. Isn't part of the promotion.
