I have purchased from them before with no issues. They are not the fastest to deliver but I didn't have any issues with products not arriving. I use WOT but normally people rate when things go badly and not necessarily the positives? Bit of trial and error I suppose but as paying by credit card you are protected anyway if things go bad. I know it's not the point but at least you have that safety net?

thanks OP ordered a pair! Have never really used glasses but I have recently had some routine checks and one of them was eye check- never considered myself having sight problems but I have -0.5 on right and -1.0 on left eye, so I guess these will come in handy when working on a pc (I work as a software dev so spending loads of time in front of screen), I am hesitating whether to take another pair actually since they are that cheap  Massive heat added!
Too good of a deal to miss so I ordered yet another pair- one for work, one for home  + a case and couple of cloths came down to 34 pounds, cheap as chips
MSK.
1 Jun 172#54
You might not find them all that helpful. Half the useability of glasses is in the fitting, which you don't get buying online. Not trying to do your purchase down, but since it's your first ever pair.. if you find they don't help or give you a headache, try some from an optician next time.

My prescription is -0.5 and -0.75 so very similar to yours. You are slightly short sighted so there won't be any real benefit to working at a computer screen as you can already see fine at that distance. It's at further distances where everything is ever so slightly blurred, it's not blurred enough to realise there is an issue and it seems normal. However once you get glasses it's like being able to see in high definition instead of standard definition, as you can now see detail in the distance that was slightly too blurred to make out before.

Well, as I said, I never really had problems with either short distance or long distance sight, I could easily read the small font from distance on the eye check, but machine said otherwise. I have decided to take the glasses as counteractive measure as I don't want them to get worse, I'm no expert so what I am saying might be totally BS, I just reckon that spending hours daily in front of pc the sight can only get worse, and 30 pounds for 2 pairs is a very low price for one's wellbeing
Thanks will definitely bear that in mind! I still think it's worth a try for this price, cant hurt to try! But many thanks for your input
Highly doubt they would. That's why they only allow one code use per order. Would love to be stand corrected and, cause a fiver in a pocket is better than a fiver out of pocket

We're a UK based online company which has lower overheads than High Street Optical Stores.

We can therefore pass the savings onto our customers.

Ordered from them a couple of months ago on the same deal. They were pretty slow to reply to my email and the glasses took close to a month to arrive from what I remember.
However it's made me question having spent hundreds on the high street over the years. My superdry prescription sunglasses delivered cost less than the recent reglaze from specsavers. So much for any scratch protection coating from specsavers they were scratched inside of 2 weeks and I have no idea how.

Quick question I opted for regular rather than sunglasses with my order but now thinking about using these for driving, it might be handy to have some sort of sun protection. I have also received the offer for specky2 lens for 9.99 and apparently these are anti-glare. Would it be better to change my order to sunglasses or opt for the specky2 lens packet- would the latter choice offer similar protection against sun beam as tinted lenses?

Just for info for people ordering, PD means pupil distance i.e. the distance between the middle of the pupil in your right eye to the left. Opticians will use a pupilometer (excuse if a typo) to measure this. You can just use a bog standard ruler to measure this yourself in mm. I don't think PDs matter much in the case of single vision distance lenses, but i have heard they can matter more for bifocal/ vari-focals.

1 Jun 171#112
Sorry, I did mean to put that the sunglass tint is UV400 so for daytime driving that will do what you need. The anti glare if more for clear lenses and driving at night to help with headlights coming towards you. Hope that helps

1 Jun 17#113
opted for the standard PD value then having read a previous comment about how it needs to be accurate, i decided to pop to the opticians to get it. Thankfully another assistant (whom ive been served by previously) done it for me free of charge while the other one went to check with her manager what the charge is

PD isn't part of the prescription that they have to give you. It's apparently considered part of the fitting process (obviously where they make more money).

I tried measuring it myself beforehand and just couldn't get the figures I later found on the prescription (measuring alone)

Yep. Mines the same, ordered sunglasses and glasses on the 31st May. I emailed them around 2 weeks ago and asked where they were as order status hadn't changed. They said they were making my order a priority and would get them that week. I received an email a few mins ago saying the glasses have been sent. My sunglasses are still being personalised. Hope the quality is good, wanted the glasses to take on holiday but that's been and gone!

Doubt I'll be ordering from these again tbh. Far too slow.

my prescription is
R-0.50 -0.50 170.0
L -0.50 -0.50 10.0
BTW, dont bother adding any Specky lens packages. They should send you an email in a few days offering you Specky2 package for £9.99 instead of £19.99
Too good of a deal to miss so I ordered yet another pair- one for work, one for home  + a case and couple of cloths came down to 34 pounds, cheap as chips
Hopefully they'll refund one of the shipping charges for me.
Just ordered another set of sunglasses.
I buy all my glasses online and fingers crossed always been happy

Thanks will definitely bear that in mind! I still think it's worth a try for this price, cant hurt to try! But many thanks for your input
Highly doubt they would. That's why they only allow one code use per order. Would love to be stand corrected and, cause a fiver in a pocket is better than a fiver out of pocket

We don't test eyes, we just supply glasses made to the prescription that you've been issued by your opticians.
We can therefore pass the savings onto our customers.
Hope this helps.

Thanks
Thanks
Seems you monitor HUKD better than your email box. I would use you again if I wasn't in a rush as the glasses are great just not really impressed with your customer care.
However it's made me question having spent hundreds on the high street over the years. My superdry prescription sunglasses delivered cost less than the recent reglaze from specsavers. So much for any scratch protection coating from specsavers they were scratched inside of 2 weeks and I have no idea how.
Definitely worth a go if you're not in a hurry.
Just what I was looking for.
Thanks OP
Thanks
Specsavers refused to give it to me. Luckily I found a very old prescription with it on.
I tried measuring it myself beforehand and just couldn't get the figures I later found on the prescription (measuring alone)
Does anyone know?
can't complain at that for prescription sunglasses for under £25
not impressed...
