Very usually refuse to pay cash or credit back if a voucher code has been used. I would be careful...

I never had any issues and I personally know 2 other people who have used these BNPL credit backs successfully numerous times.
I have no idea why you had problems but you might have bad experience with any retailer, either because of error from their side or your side.
with Very, these cash backs need to follow a certain procedure and various condition, not claiming cash back elsewhere for example and I think not clearing all the balance before certain date, certain items excluded sometimes etc etc

ignore negative comments about Very, most are either about distance past or from clueless negative people.
I've NEVER had any issues with Very.
bought many items, most of them relatively expensive items, and I'm very happy with the experience.
received my BNPL credit on time always.
and the customer service (chat) have always been spot on and very helpful and accurate.
definitely recommend Very.

There is a way of receiving the money back as cash:
I repaid my watch in full (didn't realise I could just wait for credit and repay the rest), they credited account with £50 credit as per the deal, I didn't use it for 3 months and then had a call from Very representative saying they are sending me a cheque for the amount.
Not had an issue so far with these offers.

Be aware with these offers, they tried to con me out of a £100 credit on a similar offer before Christmas.
I took it to trading standards and eventually after about 6 months they gave me the £100 credit. Stay away IMO.

you can also get £100 credit on a 9.7" Ipad Pro making it £449.99 if you prefer this model

I bought an apple watch with 20% back and they credited my account about 3 weeks later. No problems at all with them.

I've left the credit account open but zero balance for a while, and about every 6 months or so they send an offer along the lines of £50 off a £100+ spend.
Got a cheap fitbit with the last one.
Done several of these offers and never had a problem.

got the switch and zelda bundle for £260 when they had the 20% off offer on that so am 'very' happy with this company. I would say you have to be careful with this order as it is only on bnpl and not their normal credit so make sure that option is available for you, it wasn't there for me when they had the 20% credit back on apple stuff
Very also have 2 other deals going at the moment
£20 credit back on a £40 game spend using code 6tftk - I ordered splatoon 2 for £25 (£45-£20) (may work on other stuff actually - give it a try)
£20 credit back on a £50 spend (anything but apple I think) using code LAMJA - not found something to buy yet but I'm sure I will
These may not work for all accounts

Take screenshots of the offer. I didn't get my cashback once and was told the offer didn't exist. So was £50 out of pocket.

Recently bought a pram off Very. no problems and got 20% off RRP when opening a credit account. admit that the credit account was hard to close down but they have online chat nowadays so you can just do it like that

With this, is the 8GB RAM Surface Pro 4 a good deal?
Does the credit go to the Very account? (As in you have to spend the credit at Very)

No, it is genuine money back (in effect), you won't get £50 cash into your pocket, you effectively get £50 off the price of the item. If you have a Very credit account you purchase the item, for instance in this case the iPad, then £339.00 goes onto your Very account which you can then choose to pay off over whatever monthly period you want (i.e. 6 or 9) - same as an Argos card if you're familiar with the setup. What happens then is Very basically pay the first £50 for you so you're only left with a bill of £289.00 - not £289.99 as I have just realised I put in the title, whoopsies.

It's simple you get the £50 / £100 credit applied to your main account then just contact customer service and ask them to transfer that credit to a bnpl order of your choice then pay what's left outstanding on that item before the year so no intrest.
