That Plusnet guy's face has been irritating me for years.
I would love to punch him in the face.
Just needed to get that off my chest, thanks.

I know it's not everything, but what kind of 4G speeds do folks get on plusnet mobile?
szaman81 to badboyofrock
3 May 17#2
The network’s average 4G download speed is 33.83Mbit/sec, while its average 4G upload speed is 13.81Mbit/sec. Those are very high speeds, and are thanks to its use of EE’s infrastructure.
I got this a few days ago. Coming in today/tomorrow.

For an extra GB data and extra 500 mins, I'd still go with this.
I'm assuming you're referring to your GiffGaff thread? Who would want to pay £20/month for 6GB Data and then use the rest at a reduced speed whilst incurring "Traffic Flow" as they put it?
Oh grow up.

can they put the data allowance back down after a month? (particularly on the 10 a month 5gb deal mentioned above)?

Myself and others tried to sign up to a few deals online, taking advantage of some cash back offers too, and every time at the last payment stage resulted in a error, regardless of whatever card was used. We gave up in the end.

I've just finished a 12 month ee sim deal, so I phoned up and after a few minutes of being told they couldn't go lower than £25 she magically found a "special" deal. I. Just told them I'd been on u switch etc and other networks ie three were offering 30gig for £20. A bit of charm goes a long way as well, I always go over the top nice

A real test via Okkla Speedtest ... 24.5Mbit/sec download and 8.3Mbit/sec upload. Tested In the Surrey suburbs, ymmv if you are somewhere more rural, but that would be the case for most, if not all mobile providers.

Thanks for this, just phoned EE and wangled 5GB data, unlimited mins and texts for £11.99, not quite as good as this deal but going from 250mb 1000mins and unlimited texts for the same price I'm pretty chuffed.
Cheers OP.

Then its probably your phone have you checked if you have a cheap chinese import with tin foil for an antenna! Its not always the network that is the problem.

I'm on a 30 day contract with Plusnet for 4gb data, unlimited texts and calls for £10 from a previous MSE deal. Does anyone know if they will switch you between deals? I don't use many texts or minutes but get through a lot of data, so I'd prefer this one or the current MSE one.

You need to call customer service.
I went for this offer after it expired online and when I called they allowed me to sign up over the phone.

Apart from this showers of a company taking 7 days to replace a damaged sim, loosing data for 6 days and closing my account by mistake,go for it. Believe me they are the worst mobile compant in the UK.Please read Trustpilot reviews before joining these.Cheap for a reason,RUBBISH company.Life mobile where great before Plusnet took over.

Perhaps Plusnet don't get the same access to 4G as EE provide for their own customers. I don't know if that is the case but it's possible.

I don't think so - I've had a similar experience. The coverage checkers for ee and Vodafone say I can get 4g data around my home, and after trying them both, none of them deliver. I know my 4g works, as I get it in my work place.
Coverage checkers must be educated guesswork rather than test results / reports back from mobiles.

I got my sim delivered yesterday and their coverage checker indicated that my area was excellent for 4G.
I've tested it today and don't get 4G anywhere local.
My sister who is on EE, which is apparently what Plusnet runs on, gets 4G in the same areas.
