No, that's why there's a 7 day limit.

Whilst I appreciate one driver doesn't represent this organisation - my sister in law was left in the middle of no where at 2am, no rhyme or reason. Based on this experience and Uber's lack of control over 'self employed' persons, I would never use them or recommend them to anyone.

Did she report them to Uber? I've found Uber customer service are great, once had a full refund where the driver took a long route, I just contacted Uber to ask about something else and they picked up on it and refunded the entire trip

I recently had a similar experience, so I can empathise.
Don't expect any sympathy from Uber as I expected them to compensate for wasting my time (customers are charged £5 if they make a driver waste 5 mins, whereas customers will get no money if they have to wait for 15 minutes and then driver cancels trip, as happened in my case) and for all the hassle in repeatedly trying to explain to their online-only customer service as it's the "company policy of not paying any compensation but focus on customer experience".
Not booking any Uber anytime soon or if out of alternatives.
Heat added for the find, though.

Close - it was Auntie Barbara's sister's flat mate. It was also KFC not McDonald's.

i use uber all the time..once a driver didn't pick me up on an uber pool at kings x. i got another. i was charged for original. i messaged uber in the app and got instant refund and uber deals with the driver. the idea they are bad is empty given they are tracked by the latest technology out there. uber knows the route you take as gps monitors the journey.

Says 20% off Ubereats when I apply it. Not Uber rides. Then it says 50 trips left. But max 50 orders.
This promo has got issues.

decent deal, but if it expires in 7 days it's not worth the hassle to enter the code really.

Maybe not the good deal it appears to be. Not many Uber fares below £15 around London and they have a nasty habit of fare "surging" when demand is high. I suspect if Uber do give you a discount, they will "load" the fare first to cover it.
Always remember it's very easy to give a discount when there is no published price list or tariff for you to compare!

So what's the point it's a stupid offer in my opinion.
