2 carvery meals for £10 instead of £6.49 each saving you £2.98. Valid all day Monday to Friday until 19/5/17 at Toby Carvery. Just go to get deal and get a voucher code which you can either show on your phone or print out and show when paying your bill.
Nice cheap meal out as they also do the unlimited refillable soft drinks like Pizza Hut in all kinds of weird and wonderful flavours which seem to keep the kids happy for £2.70 for as well.

I go about once a month and have been doing for years. Excellent meal at a very reasonable price. I have never seen food on the floor and the other patrons seem very reasonable. Lots of families because of the good value. Probably not a good place for snobs
Aren't the refillable drinks from a machine not the J20 bottles etc?
emribena to Matthague
10 May 17#5
Yes its the machine help yourself ones - on the screen shot above as bottomless soft drinks for £2.70 - basically same as the machine you get in pizza hut

I did think that.... it was the way the OP was worded There's only a few options at the refillable so I read that as the weird/wonderful flavours were included in the refillable bit (which they're not) so thought it may need changing (unless they'd changed since my last visit which I assume they've not :P)

They do the lemonade, pepsi max, tango etc with the flavours lime, strawberry, cherry, vanilla etc so you can have vanilla tango / cherry pepsi etc- some look horrendous but the kids seems to like them

Ours (well when I went 6-8wks ago) just had 5 drinks with the metal push things that make it dispense - My error - I know what you mean now as they have those at other restaurants .

Maybe coming soon - ours have had it for a while now cherry apple tango is not a combo I'd recommend!

Oh the look of death you get in some of these places when you ask for more

10 May 172#16
Basically because you need to be paying for King Size for a bigger portion. It should be that everybody otherwise gets the same portion, although you will get some variation depending on the staff member and their concentration. It's not fair for you to ask for more when other people are paying for the more.
It's only unlimited vegetables - not unlimited meat.

nice one - there's a 25% code that works on local deals on a new account, so 2 roasts and 2 drinks for £11.21
It's perfectly reasonable to ask for more, the answer may be no, but asking harms no one.

In my opinion the veg in the Toby is the best part of the meal - and well worth it too
shakerstevens
11 May 17#21
In the ones I've been to you can help yourself to extra veg without asking. Only meat that you can't have extra for which is fair enough when then do the bigger plate option for that to start with.

I didn't require a king size plate, :smirk: I just asked for more when they gave me an infant sized piece of meat from the end of 2 joints they had, it basically was vegetarian my meal. :stuck_out_tongue:
I'd rather pay a couple of quid more and enjoy a decent meal, what should be what you pay for.

Yes, I'm a reasonable woman, and the two scrag ends of meat I got was what I'd give the dog, even though I asked in a very low voice could I have either have some new meat or more, the staff behind the counter all stopped  I felt like I'd just turned into one of the walking dead.

Yes, you can choose off the menu or just have a meat free carvery - I'm not sure if it's included in the 2 for £10 offer though - maybe ring your local or message them on facebook? Here's the vegetarian menu anyway

Of course there's no harm, it's just rude that's all.
I don't think its rude, its the right of anyone who would call themselves a real HUKD'er, it would actually be rude not to ask for more.....
I used to really enjoy these carveries, but the last few times I have been, the veg has all been bland and/or dried up, the roast potatoes are more like baked potatoes, and its spot the cheese in the cauliflower cheese.

You can of course simply use the 2 for £10 voucher and go to the carvery as per normal and tell the chef you don't want any meat. The waitress will then charge you the meat carvery price unless you inform her otherwise - and then the 2 for £10 voucher is absolutely fine.
Obviously if there's only 1 of you - or 2 of you having the no meat carvery, then it's still cheaper per head at £4.59 without the voucher.

Have to say... we have have a "farmhouse Inn" near us which is a nationwide company - they're cheaper and you get more food plus their standard plate holds more than Toby's so it's more like an large to start with

Rude? Really? You must live in a real fluffy bunny world if you think that is rude. You do know that you can legally ask for money back if you are not happy with the food, that must be close to a capital offence in your world. It is a carvery, it depends on the judgement of the person carving, people don't all get the same amount, maybe they give too little sometimes instead of just the right amount?
Vistrix
16 May 17#52
Asking for your money back because you are not happy with a service is completely different.
Asking for more than what you paid for when everyone around you get's the same deal is rude toward all the other paying customers, its as simple as that.
Now if you think you didn't get the same as everyone else like you said, then that's different again... of course it's not rude in that case!
