Blue one is £31.50 for grade B+ so you might want to change the picture and description.

I've bought enough for various systems over the years to know better, but I gave the recent 'refurbished' 360 deal from MusicMagpie a go and the controller that came with it made me gag! Seriously shocking. Bought a used Xbox One chatpad from StudentComputers over Christmas and that was filthy too. Lesson re-learned.

You don't need a soldering iron to get to the buttons.
Take off the shoulder buttons and the triggers don't get in the way.
Personally I don't like desoldering and resoldering as it's less factory fresh.

Very hit and miss, these are probably refurb units, the last time i bought form H&G tit was an Elite Controller, it was sealed in a tatty box which i wasnt bothered about, but the controller was in really dirty condition, no way refurbished - gunk in all the seams on the casing and under the thumb sticks etc, their feedback clearly shows that these are not refurbished but shipped out without being checked, this is a good price but - for me - too risky for all the messing about ..

Nothing worse than a used controller that hasn't been cleaned by someone with OCD. Bleugh!

My daughter's one was second hand thrown in with a game for nothing it works but it was filthy when I took the covers off. You can't get to the keypad without desoldering the vibrators on it which I can't do at the moment because I bought a cheap soldering iron that came with the most useless solder in the universe but otherwise I think the button rubber membrane gets worn out and is dirt cheap to buy so will do it at some point

I needed a new controller, so happy.

Yeah I took a screenshot of why I won't be buying it (the 2 or 3 day ago review stating they received a faulty controller due to the dpad not working all the time) can't see the picture though for some reason... so the best of luck!

I dont think sticky buttons is their fault, i think thats from eating food food or fizzy drink while gaming, i heard a old toothbrush damped with water helps (ill double check that) or if you know how, dissemble the controller, wash the parts in a sink and assemble back

How do you know they aren't used? If it was just the packaging they would be listed as 'new other', they also sell these through Amazon, condition is listed as 'used, like new'.
Would be a great price if new but i'd rather pay an extra £10 if they are used.
escortboy to mtc1
22 Apr 17#13
The seller probably thinks that they look mint condition so are selling as unused because that's what they think.
Could have just been owned and used by an OCD person or something but you'd never know because they took care of it.
These controllers are much nicer to use and work on than the older pads but the custom stuff is way better on the older one, I guess they haven't made aftermarket parts for these yet. Like the bumpers and triggers have no replacement ones available if they break meaning it's a pain to service them.

I personally don't like the blue one.
I'm lucky in that I got two Xbox onw s controllers and a £40 game from Tesco last month for £77. Sold the game so ended up paying £20 per controller  (thanks chanch)
I think some of the custom ones are pretty cool and don't forget the recon edition is coming out soon which has the textured grip on the rear.
The orange one would be sick if the buttons were black:
This chameleon one would be amazing if it was sold in the UK - $130 from the states plus import duties etc :disappointed:

So to conclude, the item has damaged packaging and has been inspected by seller prior to sale. However, they are not used items, since they have no signs of usage. Seller accepts return for your peace of mind too. Hope that clarifies.

Don't forget 1% TCB.
Title is misleading though as it implies these are stock where the only fault is that the box is damaged when they seem to be refurbished units as well.
