The missus has just had a look and I've always steered her away from overpriced phones you know the ones. Her first question was is it as good as an iphone, she's never had an iPhone to compare it with. Just goes to show how advertising and friends can influence people's choices.

they are almost the same spec so no unless dual sim is the most important feature that you need

I bought one of these for a friend and had a few days to play with it before I handed it over. Really impressed with the build quality and the fingerprint reader. The OS was practically stock and the CPU and 3GB Ram seemed to handle everything with ease. Some will want a phone with a better screen and camera but for the £, its hard to complain. If you want better, spend more £.
HOT.

Would have gone for this if I hadn't recently picked up the Lenovo P2.
Happy with my original Swift (and just had the screen replaced under 2 year warranty after a bit of discolouration!)

I purchased the wileyfox swift around a month ago for £110 and that's been great, so this with extra storage and memory is a no brainer

Anyone be able to advise what difference/improvements I would see over an LG G2 with this please? Thanks

What's the screen quality like, i know the g5 has more ppi but is the difference noticeable on this size screen, trying to decide between the two for the other half.

Runs Cyanogen mod out of box. Currently rolling out N at the moment.

Would be interested in knowing what the battery life is like on these. My husband and I both bought Wileyfox Swift (1st Gen) and he has reverted to his G2 for better camera and video. We've both gradually got more and more dead pixels on the Swift too.

I dont think this is a fair review to this phone on sale. As that the normal swift 2 not plus model

Not an exact comparison the plus has more ram and storage so the comparison on video, camera and processor speed stand as the specs are the same

The swift 2 plus has a 16mp camera not the 13mp camera in the swift 2

Sorry I wasn't aware of that, so the plus should on paper come out better than it does on the review.

Great looking phone. Have some heat. I would buy this but it doesn't have a dedicated SD slot. Just a hybrid sim slot. I am Having to go for an imported Moto G5 which does have dedicated slot as I need dual sim and more than 32Gb storage.

Just cancelled my order and gone for the 3GB Moto G5 as the Swift 2 Plus doesn't have a removable battery - could've sworn I read earlier that it did! Would've been perfectly happy with the Swift if it did, but the G5 has better battery from the off, and battery life always degrades.
Being able to have a French and English SIM, aswell as my micro SD is a big bonus aswell.
There's talk of a windows phone version coming out soon

I have s5 and I'm buying this for wileyfox for my wife due to dual sim.
personally I love touch Wiz coz I love the features that Samsung offers with it. you are right 3gb means wf has 50% more memory which will help it's performance.
32gb however, is a choice as it uses the same slot for SD card. so if you want to use SD card then it becomes single sim (based on my understanding from my reading).
cam I'm not sure as there are many ppl giving bad review on its camera. I personally don't expect much for phone with this price

So I got this for my sister at Christmas, (same price £150 midnight blue one, but with the case and screen warranty), very nice build quality, it definitely does feel very well made but the screen is a bit washed out imo (any "only" 720p), if you're coming from an AMOLED Samsung screen I think you'll be disappointed, and the camera is pretty crappy tbh especially in low light...
It's nice that it's USB-C though, supports quick charge (I think the battery life is OK, not great but not the worst) and the fingerprint scanner is fast, seems good, however, the performance was nice and snappy until the Nougat update yesterday... Since it's no longer Cyanogen... The phone keeps crashing, freezing up and then just reboots... I did tweet Wileyfox and they got back to me pretty quickly and asked me to DM them on Twitter - But my sister is away for a few days so I can't really troubleshoot it.
Anyone else had this freezing/crashing with the new update?
I also like the fact you're buying from a British company, seeing as not so many things are made over here anymore. So you're supporting British made. (If you care about that sort of thing)
Now I'm going to contradict my last sentence and tell you to buy something from overseas, If you have the extra cash, buy the Xiaomi mi5. Fleabay usually has them pretty cheaply since the mi6 is coming out. (But check which network supports 4g with it) I've seen them go for about £180. But don't expect a pretty much pure/stock android experience like you'd get on the Wileyfox.
I suggest just looking on YouTube for some comparisons.
tldr; Buy the Xiaomi mi5 if you have the extra money. But this is still a great phone for on a budget, assuming the update hasn't broken it.. (I'm sure it can be fixed)
It's a good price off of the original though, so heat added.

I just got the £179 one from Amazon, less a fiver for topping up £100 on my Amazon account. Probably would've gone for the 2GB G5 at £140 but am in France at the mo and O2 won't sent abroad, my old S4 has gone downhill rapidly, so needed something quick! For the extra tenner on Amazon the extra 1GB and SIM slot was a no brainer!

Well yeah of course, we don't make the parts, I was wondering how long that would take... But it's still supporting a British company, that was my point.

If you want to be pedantic. "I also like the fact you're buying from a British company, seeing as not so many things are made over here anymore" is what you said. That implies the phones are made here. They are not!
I don't see how that's being pedantic at all... But you certainly are.
I really meant, you're supporting a British company. I shouldn't have implied they were made here, I quite honestly didn't put that much thought in to one small sentence. Either way, it's supporting a company over here so what difference does it make?

Do you have notification issues with your P2? I have to be actually using the phone in order to get a notification! It's driving me insane. It never alerts me if I have sold anything on eBay etc, as I run a business! :disappointed:
