Need is probably the wrong word. You certainly don't need them for any of the wii u's main big draw titles.

Amazing price, extremely hot deal. Still lots of great games despite the consoles lack of success. For anyone on the fence about the switch, the smart option is get this instead and wait till it has a better games library....

Also TopCashback / Quidco available, not sure if it will payout though as the £10 may count as an 'unapproved discount code'

Not liking description. Is it moderate or heavy?
"This product will show moderate signs of wear and tear, the item has been fully tested and is in excellent working order. You???re getting a great device at a great price! Used product showing heavy signs of wear and tear. Cosmetically the device may have deeper scratches and scuffs on the screen and/or body."

Well spotted. May well be a typo / misprint as it seems a bit disjointed. I guess pay by PayPal as they have free returns promotion still running just to be sure

To save another couple of quid you can use the '10% off your first media order' code that pops up randomly. It's a unique code so can't share it unfortunately.
The easiest way to get the pop-up is to open an incognito window and go to musicmagpie site and wait a minute. It offers 10% off your first order if you sign up for their newsletter. You can enter your email or just a disposable email (like 10minutemail.com) and the code will be shown when you click signup. Enter it at checkout for £12.70 off.
Makes it £114.29 total

Got a wiiu a month ago at £150 from game, GradeC which just needed a clean - very happy to wait until Xmas for the switch which by then will have a better library,
A great selection of must have first party games at a reasonable price and I already have a ton of controllers from my wii ;-)

I ordered the C grade one from Game a couple of weeks ago but then realised they had B grade ones in store for £10 extra so I ended buying that instead. Unfortunately they had already shipped out the one I ordered but thankfully I choose to collect in store, this meant I got refunded in store as soon as it turned up. I did notice when the guy got the paperwork out the box, it was in good condition so I would of been quite happy with it for £100. I would therefore recommend people check their local game for stock as you can see what you're getting.
A nether thing to consider is what bundle it's from, like my B grade one I got was the Mario Kart & Splatoon one so Mario Kart was preinstalled but the C grade was the Mario Kart one which doesn't as it come on disc with that one.

Great price!! If anyone's fussy about dust, fingerprints and scratches I recommend getting a white model with a USB stick as its really good at hiding it all. My old black model constantly showed up the dust.

Have been thinking of getting one of these. What games would you recommend people?
I am thinking Bayonetta 2, Mario Maker and the new Zelda to start with plus older Wii games (never owned a Wii) such as Okami and the Mario games to start with?

Zelda is amazing and could possibly be game of the decade.
I have just finished Super Mario 3D world with my son and it is sooooooo good.

MK8, New Super Mario Bros U, Rayman Legends, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, Star Fox Zero (that's down to own preference though) lots of good stuff to choose from.

The Last Story, if you can find a copy. A true gem of a game, I'm someone who found it better than Xenoblade.

I suppose it depends what you use it for. I picked up a grotty one for 150 (100 after trade in of the games). a 3tb hard drive and a 64GB SD Card later... £160ish for the entire catalogue.

Completely different, the wii u is a home console, the games are better graphically etc, but is more comparable to playstation and xbox.
The 3ds is fully portable so you can play while travelling, or wherever you want.
If he wants a 3ds XL get him that.

Hoping to still get new Wii U. I picked up Super Mario Bros U and Luigi U a while back but don't have the console yet. If not might have to settle for a used console. This seems decent deal but I worry about condition with used consoles. Buy used games all the time prefer new for console, especially as I will keep it.

Different consoles, but 3ds xl are also very good and it will play all standard DS games. Also more portable as it's a handheld system.

They stopped making Wii Us seven months ago. Your chances of getting a new one at a price you want might be running out by the day.

Mine came with Mario Kart 8...in case you order one of these...and then think the logical next step is to go on eBay and buy it.
And then feel stupid for not checking first.
