Just called customer service and she checked all stores within a 20 mile radius and none showing any stock anywhere... She also said there showing on her system as £37 reduced from £84....

Empty slot beneath a sticker for this price in Buckshaw Village Tesco.

I bought a purple one from Failsworth, Manchester Tescos store and it was priced at 39.00. There was one left as she brought two out so if anyone is interested go to the customer services desk in store and ask. I was there about three hours ago.

I also got a 1tb black one for 14.00 but that was the only one in stock. Very happy as I was in need of one to use with my PS4.

None in the Swansea stores.

These drives are a silly price normally IMPO. Made worse by the ludicrously high price, IMPO, that Western Digital charge for their secondhand ones with the cr*p warranty.

I get the impression that WD uses the refurbished drive market to prop up the prices of the new ones - too many mugs buying expensive secondhand drives from WD with limited warranties IMPO.

Wow, possibly the only good thing to ever come out of Beduff.

always bought wd too, had several externals and many internals - my current pc runs off a crucial ssd with a wd 1tb as storage and a much older WD 500GB as spare - the latter is noisy when it spins up but is well over 5 years old. never had a single wd drive fail since i started using them 20 years ago.

this is an aside from the deal, which unfortunately seems a wild goose chase, but gj anyone who got one.
