Some cracking prices on 2 night village hotel stays - incl breakfast
It shows on site as starting from £60 for 2 nights + Breakky, but have found some for less in Aberdeen, that work out around £12.92pppn.
At £60 for two for two night it's already decent, so worthwhile checking a few dates to see if you can save more
Booking period 9am 27/04/17 to midnight 01/05/17
"Enjoy 2 nights bed and breakfast for the price of one in our biggest summer sale ever! Plus we have 50% off Club upgrades and late check outs. Stay from Thursday 22nd June to Sunday 24th September. Breaks start from just £60 for 2 nights and the rates you see have already been discounted by 50% on the calendar"
Worth noting that they have the £1 burger offer running, when you buy any drink. You can double up or add fries for £1 extra too - Which could well prove handy in the afternoon / evening - See here

The Warrington one is a fantastic deal. Anyone know if the breakfasts are all you can eat?
I'm thinking taking a load of washed clothes to iron, charge our mobile phones/tablets/laptops, have a few relaxing baths, eat as much as I can for breakfast, pocket some pieces of fruit and pain au chocolats for the rest of the day.
At £9 per person per night - it works out cheaper than living in my own home.

Make sure to turn off the heating and plug sockets whilst you're away. Alternatively air b&b your house and make a tidy profit whilst eating your free breakfast?

Weird thinking but yeh your right. High spec TV, comfy bed, careful that some rooms have new style showers rather than baths. Ask to be moved to one with a bath. Iron galore I would say.

It states children up to 12 years. I want to book a family room with 2 children one aged 5 the other aged 13. from what I gather I will need to book two seperate rooms? But there is no way I want to do that. Do they ask for children's age proof?
Anyone had this situation before?
Thanks
neilc to Dbriggs
27 Apr 17#34
Don't worry, they won't ask at check in, in fact check in is self service on an ipad. Our 15 year old stays with us ocassionally

By their guidance you should book 2 rooms. We took our 13 year old as a 12 year old and had him in our room over Easter. No one asked us! Just told him his 'new' birthday in case anyone did ask.

That's just to try and persuade you to upgrade. We've stopped at 7 different villages now and they have always had the same policy - as long as you book direct.

28 Apr 17#42
thanks for the info. should i ask when check in or i could direct go to the gym? do the gym door locked?
neilc
28 Apr 17#43
At all the places we have stayed you just go to the gym desk and sign in as a hotel guest. We have only ever been asked once to actually show we are hotel guests which is weird as it means anyone could walk in and jsut sign in whether they were staying or not

Could anyone help me? When i go to check out on the family room its saying only 2 guests on the booking system. So when i alter the guests to 4 people ( 2 adults & 2 children) the price shoots up by another £30. Would it matter if i booked the family room with only 2 guests or will they not receive the free breakfast etc..
PeaPodQueen to Dbriggs
29 Apr 17#56
You are supposed to pay extra. We took our 12 year old and the extra bed needed making up. We also informed them about him for breakfast to pay the extra. As it happened nothing was added to our bill but it should have been an extra £15 for each night and an extra £10 for breakfast!

As has been mentioned this offer isn't as good as the Boxing Day sale one as the gym and pool are not included with standard rooms as they were previously.
Having booked several rooms with this offer I feel slightly pee'd off that we will have to fork out again to use the facilities.

For hotel guests that have booked directly for selected rooms, access to the health & fitness facilities are included in the rate. A per person charge of £5 for entry to the health & fitness club will apply to standard room bookings & 3rd party bookings.

Stayed at the London Watford one a few months back on a different offer, and it was a lovely stay! Such a nice hotel, very modern - you can unlock your room with your phone or apple watch which is super cool. Comfy bed, nicely designed rooms, easy online check in - literally couldn't fault it
