Oh nice the multiplayer is included too awesome. Neither. This isn't Bungie/Activision were talking about. This is similar to TLOU's the Left Behind DLC. When they made Lost Legacy DLC they made it big and took them longer than they expected went from small dlc to a bigger expansions dlc. This expansion is set 12 months after Uncharted 4 in the story and been in nearly 2 years of development just for this expansion.
Lost Legacy was in development straight after Uncharted 4, while some of the Naught Dog team are working on TLOU2. When they finish with Lost Legacy the team working on this will all move to TLOU2 together.

What are you rambling about? It was originally intended as DLC; anyone who bought the DLC pass at that time (before they announced it would be much larger in scale and would go standalone) will still get it. For the rest of us, it's being priced accordingly.

It was meant to be a DLC similar in length to Left Behind (TLoU), however Naughty Dog recently said that they got carried away and the DLC ended up being almost as big as a full game, they have since cut it down to around 10 hours or so.
Still, 10 hours is longer than most SP games these days anyway.

10 hours is about the length of a full Uncharted game so it justifies a standalone release.

How the ruddy hell do you have a 'standalone expansion'?
Yet again, it suggests one of two possibilities:
1) Give us your money for part of a game that we haven't finished and we'll milk you for the rest of it later.
2) This was part of a game you've already bought, but we thought we'd milk you more for it separately.
It's about time we started getting complete games on release day, rather than constantly being ripped off.
Surely people that pay the premium to buy games on release day should be entitled to more than just a kick in the nuts.

This is dlc done right. Over a year after the initial release and a bigger expansion. It's like the old days on PC before the dlc milking began on consoles. People should support this really, not fight it.

And? That doesn't change my point. Pre ordering kind of made sense years ago when the only way to play a game/watch a film/listen to an album was by buying a physical copy. Big releases could sell out, so pre-ordering made sense if you really wanted it.
These days it's possible to guarantee that you can play a game at launch by getting it digitally. Companies still push pre-ordering because it allows them to ship broken, incomplete games knowing that fools will still buy them. Seems to be working on HUKD!
hass123
12 Apr 17#59
Got the Triple Pack last April for £5 (surprisingly of all places - GAME) so saving a ton on this expansion standalone. Already used the saving on getting the Crash trilogy remaster preordered, clock that for two months (crash 3 would be much easier as I played the hell out of that, remember every jump and hazard in the game, hopefully three platinums available) then move on to this then hopefully Spiderman and God of War
iwo
12 Apr 17#60
I agree with you, but in this case isn't the Jak and Daxter freebie only available if one preorders?
Marcoos
12 Apr 171#61
So you go through and vote every pre order deal for a physical release cold do you?
As already started by someone else, not everyone is interested in digital, there's people who are collectors and like a case on the shelf as part of the collection.
Not to mention the people who digital simply isn't an option due to poor internet connection speeds and/or download limits.
There's also the price, which on a deals website is kinda important I think, so you would rather pay more? Because that's how it is with digital, if you want it day one, you're going to have to pay full price, like I say it's a deals website, oddly enough some people like to save a few quid. Going physical more often than not allows it, especially if you want the game day one.
It's possibly a 10 hour game, some people will have no desire to play it again after finishing it once, with physical they can trade or sell it on and use that towards another game, again saving a few quid.
Pre ordering isn't just about securing a copy of a game day one, it's about getting it day one but not having to pay full price for it. Instead of waiting for a sale.
Anyway, I'll let you get back to voting cold on physical pre orders. It clearly flicks your switch..
