£5 off this and a few other Powerline Passthrough adapters at Maplin. Maplin sell through Amazon as well so I expect Amazon will follow suit at some point.
Has been cheaper (think there was a voucher a few months ago which brought the price down to £45 at Currys) but this is the best price I've found for MIMO passthrough adapters at the moment.

How could I use this powerline kit?
The kit is plug and play to make setup quick and simple and also has pass-through technology built-in – allowing you to plug a device into the rear of the powerline plug to be powered from the mains socket being used. The powerline kit is designed for one plug to connect directly to your network router while the other can be connected to a networked device. It allows that device to connect directly to the internet without using long network cables. This powerline kit works seamlessly with all other TP-Link powerline products to allow you to create the perfect networking solution for you.
How does powerline work?
Powerline technology transfers data using the electrical wiring of the household. This allows for a single powerline plug to be connected directly to a router and plugged into a mains socket. This plug will then communicate to all of the other plugs that are connected to the same electricity supply. This kit comes with a single powerline plug that connects to a router, and another plug that will connect to your networked device and allow it to communicate to your router over the mains. The powerline adapters will communicate with each other when connected directly to mains sockets that are on the same fuse board. Additional receivers, including receivers that give a wireless signal, are sold separately and can connect additional devices to your router. For best results, use any powerline TP-Link powerline adaptor with a 1200Mbps rating

Have you tried using the TP-Link utility that disables the power-save feature? (Google 'TP-link power save tool' to find it). They have a habit of going to sleep otherwise and sometimes need power-cycling to wake them. It's a problem with quite a few of their homeplugs, I've got the 8030s (3-port version of this) which work fine now.

Thanks for this info. I've been getting drop outs that are annoying so I have switched the power save off now (thanks to your info) and see how I go

Same here. I'm on my second set and they are doing the same thing as well. Very frustrating - would definitely not buy this brand again.
As it took me weeks to find this out i will post .
If you experience issues with these type of devices with slow connections check to see if you have a shared earth with neighbours.
I struggled for weeks with terrible internet performance only to finally discover that the net plugs were merging my network with a neighbours.
Remove plugs. No issues.
Maybe someone knows of a better solution .
