These are £25 plus on their website. Great price (at less than half price) for a DAB radio (if this colour is your thing).
Great reviews on both eBay and Tesco Direct.
Enjoy a wide range of content from the Better DAB radio.
Part of the Tesco range, the DR1404 DAB radio comes with 20 preset stations and a built-in FM receiver. The lightweight DR1404 DAB radio is powered by either an AC/DC adapter or 4x C batteries.

Just has a note from Tesco advising they cannot fulfill my order due to stock levels being mis-reported. Offered me a pretty naff looking Goodmans radio or a refund. Shame.

4xC batteries - I guess it eats batteries like most DAB radios then.
Why does DAB have to be so power hungry? It's a real problem in portable equipment.

was just gonna ask this? I has an analogue radio and the batteries lasted for ages! As i tought radios don't use much it was always the tape mechanism that used to cain the batteries when younger lol!
But after buying a DAB the batteries were useless! Lasted about three weeks and then gone! For a radio. Whats this like on batteries can someone please post?

I have one of these. It doesn't have a "premium feel" but it has very good reception, sounds relatively good and can take a bit of abuse (I use it when decorating, so it gets thrown around a bit). In short: excellent value

What I can't understand with DAB radios is modern technology in a crappy looking box (or retro) with a single mono speaker. What is that all about or am I missing something?
alex_dis to modelman
20 Apr 17#28
Yeah, that was kinda my point on previous post. Supposedly superior sound quality, but that's negated when played through mono speaker.

I got this same one about 18 months ago, the mains power lead wasn't connecting right and I noticed it was just a micro usb connection so emailed Tesco asking them to send me another micro usb lead and they decided to refund me instead and told me to take it to a local recycling center. I went and bought a new micro usb cable and it's still going strong now.

Good price and definitely one for the kitchen.
I had a little Philips DAB similar to this, and the problem was that it couldn't handle heavy stereo mixes you get on some songs - Beatles ones, for example. Would this be similar?
Listening to 'Strawberry Fields' on one of these things was like listening to a backing track.
