local asda (motherwell) was setting up baby event. had the 12x5ml calpol sugar free sachets reduced from £1.75 to 20p. store assistant said should be available in all stores. I got last one on shelf in motherwell but might be available in another store. good for on the go.
also not quite a "deal" but motherwell asda again, had a large promotion poster for the new dove baby range saying £1. I took the 3 items in the poster but they scanned at £1.90. They did uphold the £1 and reduced them for me and said they would look into the poster but if anyone is near and the poster is still up can chance your arm. not sure how to upload pic of receipt but will try.

no the original calpol is still available. places like boots etc still sell it. not sure exact amount of sugar in it though as I only ever buy sugar free. it's "sucrose" in it I'm sure
