This is getting silly. I have a dozen games yet to play, had no real interest in this, yet here I am about to purchase. What a fool. Heat added!

With the exception of a handful of missions the CoD franchise has had undeniably weak campaigns. It's always been about MP

If you're playing on PC MW2 is already Remastered, just run it at 4K on Ultra settings.

Modern Warfare was the last great COD singleplayer. Since then it seems to have been quite mediocre although opinions vary of course.

So, do you think "Guillied up" sniper mission in Russia on COD 4 was kak then?

I concur. I've never liked COD multiplayer but enjoy the campaigns as entertaining on rails spectacles. Perfect for when you want some low effort gaming.

Not true.
The single player has always been great with COD.

Worth a punt or has the ship already sailed with this?

From what I have heard along the grapevine, the MP is not worth any time at all but the singleplayer is quite decent.

Not sure about PC , but on console there are still plenty of players online for any modes.
In general this is a good single player experience (not as good as Titanfall 2 which arrived at almost the same time) but a good solid story with some nice set piece moments)
A reasonable multi player *if* you can adapt , its quite different to previous games and the wall running / sliding / and very low TTD (time to death) can make it difficult to pick up - it also struggles with some overpowered weapons (you'll see a *lot* of people running variants of the NV4 which is the first AR you get) and early on when you dont have access to all the perks you will simply get killed time and time again until you unlock stuff - I would say it would be hard to pickup at this stage unless you play some of the alternative modes (gun game / infected / etc where everyone is on the same level playing field).
And a single map of the Zombies mode , which is at least interesting and has a good soundtrack - if you like hoard mode games (or previous Treyarch Zombie modes) then Zombies in Spaceland is fun.
All 3 for around £8 seems like a no-brainer
** edit ** - oh and for your name on here David Hasslehoff is an NPC in the Zombies game , and if you complete the easter egg (hard to do) then he's also a playable character :-)

That seems like an odd reverse for the series. The MP was the only thing worth anytime for a while.
