Yes, I agree, the building part is a plus, but just would have hoped for better lighting. We only got the Basic lightsaber with no attachments, as I thought the bits will be just more clutter in an already very busy bedroom! If only Disney started making Blade builder versions :disappointed:

I see where you're coming from and im happy with you're opinion, But one of the "cool" things about this saber of light tho is the "bladebuilder" part, as you can swap parts out with other parts from the range to create some really fun combinations

It's a good saving off the RRP, but I found that the retractable lightsabers like this don't light up very well. I bought the Rey version for my 8 year old son (big Star Wars fan), who while thankful for it, seemed slightly underwhelmed. It only lights up at the base and even in a dark room, doesn't light very brightly even with new Duracell. I tried to take it back, but couldn't get a refund as Smyths said it was working correctly. I ended up getting another one from the Disney store a couple of weeks ago which I haven't seen anywhere else. The Disney ones don't fold down, but the way it glows is SO much better and has an added bonus of rumble as well as sound effects. I got the Luke Skywalker version which the don't have anymore, but they still have the red Kylo Ren version for £15:
It doesn't have the extra attachments for styling, but just a better purchase for the money

Picked this up this afternoon for my boy. Great product at a great price. One word of advice. Make sure they are nowhere near the "big" light when spinning as the sabre is pretty long and needs a large area to spin freely
