Okay, this is a ridiculous price for this edition. Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition includes the base game and the season pass which grants access to all DLC released for a mere £12.99 if you have PlayStation Plus. If you don't have PlayStation Plus then it'll set you back £15.99 which is still a damn good price.
*As a warning, NONE of the DLC will work offline, it's purely online only. Thanks to Drewy for pointing that out*

Just to warn others as it does not say anywhere when buying this edition. NON of the DLC works offline, it cant be used in any other mode other than online MP only.
I bought this edition myself as i wanted to play all those new maps in skirmish offline with a friend, only to be let down as i never go online myself

If you can get the CDKeys 5% discount working, it might be better doing it that way. £13.29 for the £15 top-up will leave you a little change in your wallet.
£2.01 in the wallet for an extra 30p. Heat added

Enjoyed this for what it was but not great replay value as not much of a progression system , hopefully they learn Battlefront "2"

I had to delete everything and reinstall. I found I had to do this as despite buying everything including the full game on PSN and downloading the updates, it wouldn't let me launch the game without the Disc inserted(??). It's really stupid.

Worth it for any Star Wars fan just for the excellent job they did recreating the feel of SW in the game. Maps, sounds and graphics all feel brilliantly "Star Wars". The game itself is easily worth this much even if you're not a fan of multiplayer (I'm not) as some of the game modes are actually pretty good fun even if you aren't a twitch gamer who can shoot someone in the eye from 500m away in under a second.

I have the base game only on disc, if I buy this version will I have to re install the whole thing?

Question for anyone in the know. I have the main game on disk and the season pack as DLC. If I buy the 'main game' digitally (because I'd rather be digital for this game) then that along with the season pass, would I end up with a full version of the game as the 'ultimate edition'? I only ask because Im confused by how digital vs disk combinations work or dont work with each other.

You'll be fine, only thing you will miss out is some in game items, which you've probably already unlocked.
Due to the way Sony handles licenses, you're gonna have to delete the install and download it all again! :disappointed:

Tell that to the people still playing MP in Black Ops II, Halo 4, Battlefield 3, Forza Horizon 2, etc.
Not everybody moves on just because a sequel comes out.

I still think many people will be playing for many months to come. I will not buy the new one until I get the Blast Master achievement so long wait for me.

Enjoy you're in for a treat, that's PSVR in general. You might have this grabbed already, but another space shooter for free, not as good as X Wing, but still alright
It's included in the base game for £9.99 (£7.59 for Plus members)

hows the ps4 version? i heard the consoles have the largest player count, but I'm not sure whether high level players would then **** up the game for new people
Battlefront is fairly forgiving compared to most FPS games. I think it benefits from being quite simple; no proning, limited use snipers, vehicles have limited effectiveness.
