All Amazon are doing is passing on the exchange rate, but in rip off fashion. Sterling has recovered against the euro, yet Amazon are only moderately bringing prices down. When it goes the other way, they spike it up much quicker. Same thing applies at the petrol pumps vs the price of oil.

I'm not sure about that as it's 25 cheaper than any of their EU stores and still 199 on their main sale page

Ya agree. Top comment not quite right. It's a great price whichever way you look at it. Don't believe it's purely down to ex rate

Guys I got confused, is it a special foldable version? I would prefer a non foldable because with less movable parts - less chance to break. By the way yeah, the poster above is right, here in Italy it's more expensive. I almost ordered this one today, been watching it for a while.

The picture on the Amazon product page is identical to mine, which are not foldable.

think these are actually french imports from Amazon hence the item description. if you go on to the main momentum 2.0 product page there are a lot more.
these ones tend to sit higher in price on Amazon and then randomly plummet and then back up again.

Good price. I have the smaller profile 1.0. Excellent balanced sound and good sound isolation. Beat Beats any day.

I'm not impressed by these, I think Apple were right to ditch the headphone jack in phones as the audio from them is never great. I ended up selling and buying the Bose Q35 and Sony MDR1000X's, I kept the Bose just because they fitted my listening preferences better, but the Sony's everyone says are the best. Wireless all the way now, having the amp/dac built into the headphone is way better and you can get a much more powerful sound. It's weird though cause people think of wireless from 2004 and say it sucks, but now it's much better.
All speakers are going that way now though, cutting the wires and becoming active instead of passive because it offers a better more efficient experience that the manufacturer can tailor to the actual speaker.

Not sure what you're talking about.
We've had active speakers for a long time, passive too. Which sounds better depends on a bunch of things and none of the reasons are due to one being active and one being passive. It depends on the enclosure, driver, tuning, amplifier, environment, DAC, source.
Just because active speakers have the amplifier built in doesn't make them instantly better.
You personally can tailor your output device depending on your speakers. I couldn't imagine the mess having every speaker in a multi channel setup needing a power cable and speaker cable. That would be madness.
Anyway. Apple removed the headphone port so you buy their wireless stuff.
