Finally the 55" KS7000 Series Has dipped below the £800 Mark! Have been watching the prices go up and down over the last mark but I said to myself I'd bite when It gets to under £800! I know some have been lucky getting it much cheaper many months ago but currently this is the best price anywhere for this 10Bit Panel with the most minimal input Lag for 4K Gaming.

Not surprised a more expensive cable didn't improve things for you. It's a digital signal, either it carries zeroes and ones or it doesn't. The 'quality' of an HDMI cable makes literally zero difference to picture quality. It's just a way for retailers/manufacturers to con people into spending more money.
That said, thankfully it's a myth long-debunked. Here's a selection of articles to bring you up to speed.
You should have turned off motion plus. You got rid of a great TV.

ahhh I thought Samsung addresses that motion blur issue with UK 50hz broadcasts after all these years..so the issue is still there?

Did you use the TV with 'out of the box' settings? Most tv's including my current one lagged and motion wasn't great till I tinkered with the settings.

I think judder / blur is mostly an issue with 1080i sources. I've had no problems with consoles or plex or built in freeview. I don't have any other set top boxes.

First I just used any old hdmi I found around the house eg one to my Mac mini or Apple TV,but then I was advised in investing in a more expensive cable which I did at a cost of £40 from Costco which I returned.
New cable & I still wasn't happy with the tv while watching the football so tv went back.
I don't play games as such so I can't comment from a gaming point of view.
Lovely looking tv but no good for me personally

Watch a lot of football, including the arsenal humiliation last night, and can't say I've had any issues with motion blur. I noticed some blurring on normal tv but that went away as soon as I disabled the motion settings from the menu

For anyone on the fence around getting this for PS4 Pro or their Xbox One S/Project Scorpio -
I cannot find any info on warranty. Is it 1 year of 5 years warranty?

HDMI cables either work or they don't. Spending anything over a tenner is a waste. There are multiple articles on the web about this.

Make sure where you buy this set as it's a lottery as regards Q/C so you may get a "good" one first time or you may not, so be prepared to swap a few out. Not for me

11 Apr 17#15
Is this with the extra £200 compared to the hisense 55m7000 if both TVs are just being used for non-gaming. Just Sky TV (non-Sky q) very rare use of watching films

11 Apr 171#17
Go with Hinsense for sure In your case, Just because most are opting for the Samsung Panel as It's 10Bit & minimal input lag, Alot of those who receive the TV If they Update it to the latest Software Update can benefit with the Added Game Feature that wasn't present on the TV on Launch. Also some found the older Sets (Launch Models) to be of a poor Build Quality but most others have found the Sets to be perfectly fine. If you want a Full 4K Gaming Set Up on a middle budget then this is the TV for sure to go for.
Yes they should has apparently they have Stores as well. But It's always worth a try. I'd get it done today if I were you as It's most likely going to sell out & Then JL Won't price match it.

No offence, but you are misinformed. This reminds me of the Monster Scary cable myth from years gone by. Please do not waste any more money on expensive cables. Amazon has plenty for less than a tenner that will be as good as anything else you can buy.
ipswich78
11 Apr 17#20
That's true to a degree.
However there is different specifications required for some connectivity so as long as the spec compared is the same i.e. 1.4 vs 1.4, 2.0 vs 2.0 then yes this is correct. It's a digital signal so it either works or it doesn't. You are paying the extra for build quality and the brand name.

11 Apr 17#21
Any recently made HDMI cable you can currently buy will meet the requirements for high speed, 4k, HDR. As for paying extra for brand and build quality.......10 times the price?!? People are throwing their hard earned money away. It's a con and people need to be made aware.

So to counter those with Issues..
I Bought this TV in December for £849.99 from John Lewis..
The TV is flawless in image quality, I recently purchased Planet Earth II in 4K and ran it through my XBOX One S and nothing I've ever seen can match it for quality.. sure OLED will prob give you better blacks, but for the cost difference its no justifiable..
My TV had an issue with Dead Pixels, I had lots of them, must of been a didgy panel, because JL swapped it out for me, and its now flawless..
I have no TV back panel separation, and I turn off all motion settings, and the TV never stalls or judders etc.. the motion settings give a soap opera effect and I dislike that, they also destroy cartoons doubling each frame giving a weird effect.
for XBOX Forza 3 as you drive through the rainforest with the light coming through the trees in HDR is sublime..
I cannot recommend this TV enough. for the price, its you cheapest way into a real 4K HDR experince with a full 10 Bit panel and 1000 nits of peak brightness, it also has great smart TV features, Netflix, Amazon, Sky Now, iPlayer, ITV I think 4OD is the only thing missing, and it might well turn up at some point.
Richer Sounds though are unlikely to price match as they count their 6 year warranty in the comparison.

Makes me more excited to receive mine! Thanks for your Review & Impressions! Richer Sounds were unable in Matching as you mentioned as they count the Guarantee. I can't wait to try Forza Horizon 3 on this thing & GT Sport Beta when we finally get it here in the UK! :sunglasses:

Dammit, I bought this for £899.99 from John Lewis a couple weeks back! Oh well. Excellent TV though, the features are quite impressive for both watching TV and for gaming. The smart remote is also pretty cool, I know some hate it, but I'm quite fond of it. I can use it to control my Xbox One too.

Got me tempted to plug my PC into my 4k TV now. Be interesting to see what true 4k gaming looks like on a 55" OLED panel - not like that upscaled 1080p the Xbox One S does.

Tbh I can't tell the difference between native 4k, upscaled, chequerboard or any of the others from 8 feet away on my sofa. HDR on the other hand makes a huge difference especially in games.....
