I thought this was a good deal with a reasonable data allowance for light / medium users. Black 32Gb Version. Unlimited Calls and Texts too. 24 month contract. Free Delivery.

Not sure I could live with a phone that won't be updated in the second year of the contract, but that's me, it'll still be good hardware even in 2 years time when it's 3 years old. It's cheaper than the £35pm I currently pay for my crappy Galaxy S6 which I can't wait to get replace, however the S8 is tempting but it's been bodged, so maybe I'll go for the boring looking Sony XZ Premium who knows, so far 2017 is a crapfest for flagship phones. LG G6 meh, S8 it's the screen and the design, but meh what does it do that's really come buy me I'm amazing. The Sony XZ Premium has 4K LCD and 960fps for 5 seconds, novel but hmm, if I can get over the fact that the XZ Premium can't do VR (that is insane it has a 4K screen it should damn well do VR! grrr stupid) is very very boring looking but it has the same power as the S8, then I'll choose function over style I think. The S8 fingerprint scanner placement is comical.

Id probably pay £2 more a month for the edge with 8GB
I think (as you'd expect) it's a regional thing - I was with Vodafone about 3 years back and took a business phone and mobile Wi-Fi contract (on the basis that 3G and 4G were both available in my area), basically unless i was in town I only got GPRS, when I complained they apologised but said the coverage checker was based on a network upgrade which was delayed, blah blah, I waited a month for the "upgrade" which made no difference, by which time I was outside the cooling off period but (after a lot of arguing and performing diagnostics etc.) they accepted that the data coverage was so bad they allowed me to exit the contract. I hasten to add that I live around the King's Lynn area so although rural, it's not exactly unpopulated (and at the time EE already had 4G in town and 3G most other places I went). Anyway, no doubt Vodafone have improved since then but they were such a pain to deal with I'm still bitter enough to feel I have to whinge about their coverage wherever I can ☺

to be fair, at work Vodafone was gash but recently i've been able to get 4g and blazed through 1gb of data rapidly increasing my bill. i can't really complain about Vodafone as been with them for 4 years with no issues, lets hope EE are just as good

And unless they've drastically improved in the last year or so, 4gb with Vodafone is effectively unlimited because their network is so patchy/slow for data you won't be able to download 4gb in a month! ☺

Interesting, good work! I use same rationale but replace UL £20 GiffGaff sim with a 4Gb £5 3 sim, which has the handset cost as £504 (or £444 for the cheaper tariff in comment 14).

Good deal, I've just ordered one to replace my S6 edge 64gb (which was great until it got knocked off a sofa arm onto a cushion and the screen shattered). Incidentally for those wanting less data they currently also have a deal at £23.49 with 2gb rather than 5gb.

An honest question if I may?
Was the box opened or sealed and the screen protector intact?

I had an issue with my order as I hadn't stated I was already an EE customer when ordering. I had an email from their Customer Services department asking me to ring them. Spoke to a very helpful chap on the phone and my phone and simcard arrived in the post the next day. Plus my £30 Quidco has tracked.

HOT - ordered. My Samsung S5 is on it's last legs and I need a little more data than my current package so this is perfect for me. I'm currently with EE and they couldn't price match it when I called to cancel it, the nearest they could get is £28.50 a month and £100 up front. But that surprises me as surely the supplier of the product (i.e. EE) should be able to offer the best deals?!

I'm currently torn atm between the XiaoMi 6 and the OnePlus 5. Flagship phones at a reasonable price compared to the well known brands.
Possibly considering going for the recent offer of £200 for the XiaoMi 5 or OnePlus 3T until something groundbreaking gets released.
Decisions decisions.

Although with EE you get 6 month free apple and 3 months BT - Not sure if this only applies to new EE users or not though ?
