Just to say that the amazon.it Rotary stock, I suspect, comes from the UK anyway? Here's what I said on another thread:

Rotary make good, dependable, well-made watches for the budget-ish end of the market (if you read Watchuseek). When I was much younger they were mostly Swiss Made watches and more mid-range, but that's changed from the late 1990s onward (if I have my years correct?). They still do Swiss Made watches, but they're more expensive.
I don't think even the watch snobs would turn their noses up at these prices as they look good for the money and are reliable (in fact I looked to see if anyone had mentioned the amazon.it offers on Watchuseek's Affordable Watches forum sub-section - surprised nobody did).
Pretty sure the Dolphin Standard models cost a few quid more, as well (as most of these Amazon watches on offer are). Edit: I could be wrong about that, as the Ernest Jones site says: "Rotary watches feature a unique 'Dolphin Standard' across their entire range of watches."
Just to clarify my agonizingly simple point, the RRP is make-believe, therefore a price of £40 is more standard, rather than being an amazing deal and an amazing saving on an expensive watch.

100 what? Potatoes? Peanuts? Pounds? Euros?
I'm gonna take it you mean UKP?
Well, its a good job they were less than £20 from Italian Amazon or £30 from UK Amazon then?

You may double that if you spend too much time on here.
In fact, I've spent so much time on HUKD, I've spent so much on *time* (as in watches).
That rose gold one in the pictures above is down to around €19.66 (£16.57) + shipping on Amazon IT, but I must resist!
I think someone is messing with the decimal point in Amazon's Italian website administration department. The fluctuation in prices is unbelievable!
I have that many now, I need a nice watch box to keep them in.
I ended up buying a cheap 'temporary' one from Amazon UK for a £9.99, which for the price seems to get great reviews (mostly 5 star), but ultimately want a nice genuine 'real' leather one, like 'Dulwich London 12 Watch Box' which are around £80

They are disposable at these prices though, don't you think? Don't have to worry about losing them or getting damaged.

I have a feeling these watches are fake. Compare the pictures in the two links below, you can see slight differences in the face photos... €20 vs £275 yep lol
I would be very surprised if Amazon supply fake watches, and I don't see any major differences apart from lighting/contrast (and I'm sure Ripperoo will chime in with his opinion, as he's bought a few of these!)

If you're really cynical, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to get in touch with Rotary themselves, after purchase (who I got in touch with a few years back about a vintage Rotary and they were incredibly helpful). Or take it into an authorised Rotary seller in store.

Didn't know that! i thought paying in UKP on a Euro Amazon site incurred some form of conversion charge.
Oh well, you learn summat every day eh?
Strangely though, when I checkout using my Halifax Clarity card, the price is cheaper.
To test I placed a €20.03 item in my basket and went through to checkout.
With my Halifax Clarity, there is no option to change to UKP, so the total (inc shipping) was €25.34
I then switched to my Visa Debit and the Euro price was the same @ €25.34 as you'd imagine, but when I changed to UKP the total was £22.14.
Using XE (currency exchange app @ 1.1886), that made the price €26.31
I chose "Pay in GBP" so if you choose to pay in EUR it may differ (depending if you have a currency-friendly credit card). No customs charges as it's the EU, of course.

Does anyone have to link to the gold Skelton watch on Amazon Italy or France? Cheers
The easiest way I have found it to find to check Euro Amazon sites is to find what you want on the UK site, then just edit the URL in the address bar of you browser.
If you choose to "Pay in GBP" you don't get a currency conversion charge (depends what kind of card you have).

Not sure if you can through the Amazon website TBH.
If you need to translate the page, I think Chrome browser can do it.
But you can just open the UK and Italian Amazon websites in separate tabs and everything is set out the same as far as I can tell.
Just click the corresponding buttons, links etc on the Italian website.
Final prices may be slightly different due currency exchanges if not using Halifax Clarity card or such like.
Just log into the Amazon Italy and all your addresses and saved cards will show as they do on the Amazon UK

The link is where Riperoo has highlighted "Amazon IT" in his quote, in blue - in Post #24, not the quote you posted.
amazon.it doesn't seem to have a "change to English" tab like amazon.de but you could run it through Google Translate if you're stuck? I know all about the watch and I know the Amazon website layout well, all I needed to know was how much it was gonna cost me :stuck_out_tongue:

Even more of a bargain on Amazon IT There will be a little postage to add on, but still way cheaper @ €17.49 (approx £14.70)
I got that very same watch from Amazon Italy for the princely sum of...............wait for it..................€17.44 (£14.63)! Its actually a little cheaper today @ €17.37
I also ordered the watch below for €35.18 (£29.60), which is currently £210 on Amazon UK
Which is a wind up! No, seriously, there was a sticker on the face that informs you to wind it up before use.
Including postage, both watches came in at €58.40 (£49.62)
Placed the order @ 23:43 on April 26th and they both arrived yesterday (April 29th), so that was super quick if they did actually come from Italy and not from a UK warehouse.
I must say they are both really nice watches and for that kind of money, you realy can't go wrong.
In fact, that's three 'Rotary' watches I've bout in a fortnight thanks to HUKD.
