And the 'meat' is questionable.

I gag at the above comments but my flatmate swears by them. in fact he turns down premium quality sausages to eat Richmonds, especially the chipolatas, which appear to have nothing but pink marshmallow in them. Just noticed that they are £1 in Tesco.

Go to Aldi. For a few pennies less you can sausages with 74% meat.

Agree with all the comments above , cheap if you like them and are happy eating the "contents" though , would hope nobody would feed these to their kids

Why not? Okay they don't taste great because its low meat content, but they've only bulked it out with rusk, thats not bad for you. Just because you buy sausages with a higher meat content doesn't mean they're necessarily more healthy.

They always seem to be around the £1 mark.
Tasteless and poor quality.

I used to buy these and then decided to cut them in half and cook them on a George foreman grill. I was astounded at the amount of fat that came out of them. Truly disgusting. I only now by chicken sausages from asda. Sounds strange but my kids cant tell the difference and they are fairly low fat.

Stop buying meat from unknown sources people, go to your local farms and butchers and make sure they're well cared for and not halal or horribly slaughtered. I'm sick of the government not giving a ****, I'm sick of people voting for morons, we need to put in the effort ourselves. Even if you don't care about animals because you're a disgusting person, then at least think of the overuse of antibiotics in farming and how it'll eventually lead to our demise.
If I was in charge I'd ban Cheap meat and go back to the days when it was a treat, not something added to every **** thing. It's only a post ww2 phenomenon too, so it's not like we've been this **** to the planet throughout history.
