when I got mine I thought they were too big but am more than happy with them, do not go for the pebble look I did that behind the garage, they are a pain to walk on and they can support weeds not sure why as they have same membrain as the gravle, luck has it I live not far from beck so each vist I brount back 2 bucket fulls the kids collected so after a year I had all I needed

Thanks, !
Saw the same bag outside Tesco yesterday and as a bag was split I picked one out that was quite the chunk, so maybe they are are better size than ive seen in previous years.. Unfortunately I think the better half has migrated towards beach pebbles...

Hmmm, just spent the last 3 hours measuring all of mine, I can confirm they are all the same size still, although about 19 have migrated next door to start a new community

Noticed the colour at the checkout, manager opened a bag and took a handful to wash in a sink - still black.

Got some of these, they ARE big pieces. Some smaller pieces but mostly 60-90mm long.

Depending on how many you want its worth a trip to your local gravel merchant who can deliver in bulk, prices vary obviously, but a lot less grief having a lorry hy-ab the bulk bag into your garden (if accessible) .. Saw the Morrisons ones myself and were powdered grey until washed when they seemed a dark bluey Black or more bluey anthracite to me , the issue I have with most of these bagged versions is the size :disappointed: I want bigger pieces to start with as they are bound to crunch down and split a bit over time.

I got the same ones form Homebase last year and after a day of heavy rain some of the slates turned white and brown.

Saw these in Morrisons for £3 a bag. You're right, the colour is a little odd. I'd call it dark purple rather than blue. I'm going to buy all the same as they do look classy
Opening post
3 for £10 in ASDA = £3.33
