I've checked on Game and apparently the steelbook is a 'preorder bonus' with the four themes.

Hitman the complete first season steelbook edition is also the same price.

I could be wrong, but I think you get that with any disc version.

The standard one is £25 from Tesco mate. But I'd say it is defo worth the extra your are paying for that steelbook.

I'm bit unclear about that. I think they may have been part owned by Sony, then completely bought out by a different division of Sony later on.

I seem to recall they were. Then I forgot what I was on Google for as I remembered they made Lemmings (masterpiece) and some other really great titles:smile:

No. Only from 1995 onwards from what I'm reading as part of Sony Entertainment Interactive. WipEout was released on the Sega Saturn in 1996, so I'd assume (big assumption) that Psygnosis were one of the studios Sony grabbed hold of to build their gaming division.

SEI was actually founded in 1993 and their first game was released (Japan only) in 1994. They then brought releases to Europe and such in 1995. Including (the title I'd nearly forgot about) Battle Arena Toshinden.

Whilst we're discussing games of the Sega nature. I'm not sure if you had/have a Mega CD? Do you remember Night Trap? It's been re-released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this year for a 25th anniversary. I'm kind of excited for nostalgia, but overly nervous, too :smile:

That's what was bothering me, because Psygnosis were formed in 1984, long before all of that.

Battle Arena Toshinden is about where I started, I still have that one the shelf :smiley: Never had a Megadrive, SNES or Amiga. Just got to play friends occasionally. Probably a bit after the fact.

Night Trap has a familiar sort of feel about it, I watched the trailer the other day. But it's not something I remember. Maybe I'll give it a try this time around :smiley:

Sony swallowed them up after the Saturn iirc and they still worked under 'Psygnosis studios' for a bit before later being rebranded a SEI Europe, Liverpool studios. then I think the link was lost altogether after.
