Whether fighting for the IMC, or fighting back for the Militia, Pilots are the apex predator of the Frontier. They are what all riflemen aspire to be - highly skilled, incredibly mobile, and deadly at any range. But Pilots aren't alone, by their side is a Titan. Towering over anything that stands in their path, Titans are lethal weapons wrapped in armor and designed to take a punch...or a sword...or a rocket. Individually, Pilots and Titans are a serious threat. Together they are unstoppable.
Titanfall 2 delivers a single player campaign packed with action and inventive twists.
In single player, step on to The Frontier as a Militia rifleman with aspirations of becoming a Pilot. Stranded behind IMC enemy lines, you must team up with a veteran Vanguard-class Titan, working together against overwhelming odds to uphold a mission you were never meant to carry out.
In multiplayer, Titanfall 2 gives fans more of what they want including six all-new Titans, a host of deadly new Pilot abilities, an expanded customization system, new maps and much more, Titanfall 2 gives fans the deeper multiplayer experience they've been asking for.
CAPTIVATING SINGLE PLAYER - Explore the unique, dynamic relationship between Pilot and Titan. DEEP MULTIPLAYER ACTION - Deep, fast-paced multiplayer that delivers an experience second to none. TEAM UP IN NETWORKS - Titanfall 2 makes it fast and easy to play with friends old and new. More details coming soon.

It's fairly tame. Mostly shooting robots, no real gore or extreme terror. Some emotional moments but again involving an anthropomorphic robot the game wants you to like...

Advantage of console is
PS4 Pro £300
A decent gaming PC -£1500
That's why people buy consoles. It's way cheaper. To get a pc where most people will actually notice a difference in frame rates, gameplay and resolution you have to spend 5 times as much much. My 1080 cost more than my PS4 Pro and so did my monitor.
commenter14
30 Apr 17#63
Clearly not
commenter14
30 Apr 171#64
It's cool that you have a 1080. I love mine. Obviously expensive, but unbelievable graphics, and something I'm happy to spend a part of my expendable income on. It'll last longer than the PS4, will be more powerful than the PS5, and lets me know that I'm playing games as the developer intended.
I disagree that you have to spend 5x as much to match the performance of a PS4. You can build a PC that beats the PS4 for the same as a PS4. Never mind free online, cheaper games, not rebuying games from the last gen... If you spend 5x the cost of a PS4 you get 5x the performance. The 1080 is light-years ahead of the PS4.

Thank you for the informative comments about PC gaming. You can't expect people who have invested into a system to be capable of normal, reasonable debate here
heeljames
1 May 171#70
Sorry but that comment about building costs is just farcical. An entry level gaming PC is going to set you back £500 all in (including keyboard, mouse, system OS etc) and that is for a bare bones system that really won't provide you an experience better than consoles
You have got to remember that games on consoles are highly optimised for the hardware, pushing it much further than it has any rights to do so. PC games are totally unoptimised and whilst a lower end graphics card and the same ram might on paper match a console, the truth is the results won't match up in reality.
The biggest issue with PC gaming (aside from the constant updates, trouble shooting, upgrading etc) is that whilst you can spend £500-800 on a gaming PC, You wouldn't. If you buy a gaming PC that price you will inevitably feel that you're only getting half of the true experience. That isn't the case with a console. Whilst the Pro/Scorpio iterations have slightly changed that, largely speaking the results across all consoles are the same. If you spend £800 on a PC, you will be spending a few hundred after 2-3 years, either because you want a higher performance or the newer games are starting t take their toll on your system.
Comments like "ah consoles are pointless, just build and buy a PC for the same price" are moronic, nothing more. If it were possible to buy and build a system that offers only advantages and no disadvantages then everyone would have one. I hand built my own PC in my early teens, was in the PC gaming scene for several years. I now only play games on a PS4 (not a pro, just a regular) and have absolutely no interest in going back. Whilst consoles are evolving more into PCs every generation, they still offer a simplicity and comfort that computers have no chance of matching.

Hate to say it as always been an xbox guy but the recent releases from playstation have converted me a bit and seem to play much more on it now. Especially since Horizon zero and Persona 5. Will have to see if Xbox can pull something out of the bag at e3 and see what the price on Scorpio comes in at as I do want one but not if they aren't gonna be releasing many exclusives etc and be asking for a high price for the console too
dr_spaceman
2 May 172#78
This year has been great for PlayStation when it comes to exclusives. Hopefully the second half of the year will offer more for Xbox. I don't think announcing a new Forza Motorsport will cause much excitement. Be nice at E3 if we find out release dates for Crackdown 3, Phantom Dust, Sea of Thieves, Below and State of Decay 2. There are also a some others like Ashen, Cuphead, Enki, Tacoma and Ion, that might be exclusives or possibly just timed exclusives. As you say, if Scorpio ends up being a high price then it really needs to hit the ground running!
Pepz347
2 May 17#79
Same as you to be honest, brought the xbox one at first with Halo collection thinking instantly I can play it then but with install and downloads. PS4 took me by surprise with the look of The Order 1886 which I know a lot of people don't like it but really enjoyed it! After that I made it my main go to console which again was a surprise. I still have a few xbox one titles like Forza horizon 3 and quantum but it's become a expensive dust collector now which is really sad

nwarne89
2 May 172#81
The only downside I have using my ps4 as my main is that all my mates are on xbox. Ordered Titanfall yesterday for the ps4 so will just play it when they're not on etc. Hope the Scorpio has some decent exclusives really and it better be around the £450 mark or lower as don't think I could justify any more than that to the other half
dr_spaceman
2 May 17#82
I have not played Battlefield 1 but I can imagine they are very different. Titanfall 2 is very fast and futuristic. Battlefield 1 would be a slower feet on the ground type shooter. Jumping in for a quick game is easy on Titanfall 2. I can imagine there are more players in a game of Battlefield with it lasting longer.
Not looking good then lol. Seriously though Scorpio is not a real next gen console and its really just an Xbox version of the PS4 pro. Do what I'm doing and stick to the original systems until the real next gen systems come out i.e. PS5.
dr_spaceman
3 May 17#87
I think Microsoft are doing away with the whole next gen system way of doing things. It is becoming more like PC with having your library of games and choosing to upgrade should you want and be able to afford for them to run and look better. Sony is possibly taking their first steps in that direction with the Pro. I am not saying there won't be a PS5, but I do believe consoles will become more like PC and do away with the need of next gen systems.
