Did anyone else who managed to bag a copy of ESO for the £5 find that they got given a preplayed copy? I finally got around to playing it yesterday and realised I've been given a preplayed copy, so basically no code for the Gold Edition goodies! I never saw preplayed version mentioned at any time so I'm confused if it's me or Smyth's who got things wrong? Any help appreciated!

Thanks OP, picked one up in Coventry. Now need to convince the wife it's worth a PS+ subscription, didn't realise that...I guess the "online" should have given me a clue.

I picked one up, internet said it had some in stock but nothing on display asked at counter and they had them hidden... got one though...
for some reason they seemed to have smeared the box in treacle... why do they insist on taking the shrink wrap off all games when they have display boxes???

Are you sure mate? I own the Gold Edition, but I haven't played it in a while. They've introduced One Tamriel now which allows you to quest anywhere at any level. It works much better for the game, especially for the casual gamer.

That's not true at all. You can play any of the dlc content straight from the get go now.
Weird that they only have the ps4 version. Amazing deal though.

Thanks OP, snatched up one in the Fareham store. Didn't look like there were any more out though, just to let people know if they were going to make a special trip to the Fareham Smyths for this. EDIT: My copy was still marked at £15 on the case, but I asked the staff member and he confirmed that it had gone down to £5

Sound's like it's changed for the better then. I just remember the game only opening up once you got to the legendary status. Only being able to craft weapons and armour of any worth till you reached that level. So the 40/50 hour's of dull quests, storing all the crafting materials until you can't carry any more by the time I got to the end game I couldn't be bothered
