I bought one from shopto with hzd for £344 I don't regret it one bit sure Scorpio might be a more powerful machine but the amount of great exclusives on the PS4 more than warrants a purchase for me Xbox are severely lacking on the games front at the min

The review there is dated 29th September 2016. Since then Microsoft have updated things, and it can now pass through HD audio etc.
Have to say Planet Earth 4K UHD Blurays look godly in HDR on an OLED.

I'm tempted to sell my old basic white PS4 (500GB) and get one of these instead of a 4K Blu ray player - which are atrociously priced at like £200! WTF?!
Even Netflix and Youtube in 4K doesn't seem to be as magnificent as what a 4K Blu ray is going to be.
I remember iPlayer once did a 4K trial of a 15 minute Planet Earth clip, and my god it was stunning. So now that I know what it could be like, I'm tempted :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah I've now watched Planet Earth II on 4k Bluray on my Xbox One S and can confirm it is on a whole other level to 4k Netflix. Simply Incredible.

Wrong console, the PS4 Pro doesn't play 4K Blu Ray, only the Xbox One S does, but apparently not that good at it, but it's cheap plus What Hi Fi are a bunch of tools anyway >
Great price but waiting to see how Scorpio compares in the flesh

Since I own a PC, the Scorpio will need to have exclusives as good as the PS4 platform, the Xbox One simply doesn't offer this, I'm doubting the Scorpio will have any exclusives that will make it worthwhile since I have a PC and PS4.

I need to keep an eye out for some 4k blurays, had my 4k tv for a year now and nothings really justified it on netflix/youtube, this gives me hope.

I can confirm that 4K Blu Ray is miles ahead of 4K Netflix. However, the PS4 Pro doesn't have a 4K Blu Ray player, so if that's what you're after I'd hold on to your current PS4 and invest in a £200 stand alone player (or Xbox One S)

Only purchase with a receipt for warranty purposes. Otherwise, Sony work of the production date which can be months before the purchase date. Stay safe when purchasing.
Another cheaper way is to buy Game vouchers at 85% of face value from various buying sites. That should help reduce the price by £45.

Hope is that to detract from any Scorpio announcement Sony would also announce a price cut or Slim-Pro type revision. In either case I'm trying to hold out until June before biting.

upgraded to a Pro - not a massive difference, loading times hard to compare as i didn't think they were awful before. however getting a 4k tv and playing horizon with HDR was really awesome. especially with the extra graphical detail that the pro brings.

Same here, I've been tempted for a while. Have the PS4 fat day one edition. But getting a 4k tv finally this summer. Hopefully E3 announces either a ps4 pro including VR with controllers etc bundle at a cheaper price or battlefront 2 ps4 pro limited edition console. Cross my fingers one of these happens.
Heat for the price.

Price is dropping.. Bought mine for £300 new/unopened from eBay but I am getting shot. No luck via Gumtree so will trade into Game for the £290 they are currently offering and then wait for E3 - can always pick another exactly the same if no revised editions are released. :man:
