Just out of interest, PS VR users - how much do you think you've spent on the PS VR experience since release?
Seems like an already huge expense just keeps getting larger if you want to get the full experience.
£350 PS VR
£70 PS Move
£40 PS Camera
£350 PS Pro
£75 Aim Controller + Farpoint
------------------------------
£885 without buying any other games!!!
I liked the look of this game but I can't justify that kind of outlay.

Personally I already had the move controller, camera and PS pro already, so really only invested into the PS VR alone. But yea, if you had nothing to start with then agreed its not cheap. However I believe HTC Vive and Oculus is probably just as or more expensive as you need a decent spec PC/graphics card.

I really don't know. With the buying power they have, they should be able to at a whim but I think it's more a case of that they don't have to.

I'm just waiting on a response from them for a price match. Although this is the second time I've asked. They said no to a shopto price match.

Bought and sold 15 PSVR around xmas. Paid for everything you listed including 2 x 10bit 4k tvs too.
Don't regret it one bit. I have the family round to play and nothing is better than putting the headset on your mum and sticking on the kitchen demo lmao.

£60 psvr
£20 2 PS Move
Free (came with console when the ps4 was released) PS4 camera
£280 ps4 pro
£68 AIM controller
That's how much my outlay was. though I had huge credit with game for the psvr. plus sold my ps4 for 180 so the pro was £100 really

You don't need the PS4 Pro for VR you can just use the standard PS4. Most people who brought the PSVR probably already own a PlayStation, also you don't need the move controllers. Even if you are buying everything from scratch it is a lot of money, but still compared to a PC and a HTC Vive which would cost about 1k more it works out as a very good price.

personally I always trade in and accumulate - my psvr was £50 after credit, ps pro was all credit, move controllers were £12 each (that deal went to -40, cheers guys), camera was £35 and didn't buy that purely for VR. Games is where the money is mainly spent, I've probably bought £150 worth of games digitally that I don't play an awful lot but it is a great little gadget and i don't regret going VR.

There seems to be quite a few sensitive PS VR users.
I am genuinely interested in what people have spent so far to get the FULL experience so thanks for the sensible replies.
I was very interested in PS VR but the limitations:cost ratio basically ruled it out for me and I have more than enough disposable income to afford it.

I love the maths some people came up with. like the ps4 you originally bought was not an actually cost? so you deduct that cost from the ps4 total??!! That isn't how you do maths...

I ordered mine from Very for £55 using a discount code, I am not new customer, I generally find that if you don't buy anything they send you a letter with a £20 discount off a £50 spend at least twice a year. Every year I use one code to renew my PSN subscription and the other to buy a game

I might just wait. Not in any rush. Got plenty other ones to catch up on. I know people seem to judge prices for psvr, but we all have a choice. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy it. If you own one, you dont really think about the past of what it all costs. You just go by the moment. I do understand that it does look a huge expense and it is, but then, what isnt nowadays.?? Like i said. You have a choice, so only ourselves can make that decision. #)

I won't go into the price I paid (you dont need to hear my cool story...bro) but it wasn't anywhere near the region that you quoted. One thing I would say as most of the posters above have displayed this is not a site where we pay RRP
As for farpoint I like the look but I may hold off until I see what other games will support the gun.

Which is exactly why I asked, I have already worked out the RRP in case you hadn't noticed! :smirk:
