wtf you on about you complete weirdo.
get a life you complete & utter deluded moron. I haven't made any guest account, unlike you, my life doesn't revolve around HUKD. I actually have a life.......the only thing that is bizarre is your baseless accusation. If you're going to make accusations, then back them up with evidence or facts.
you're grammar is absolutely appalling, before you post long, inane rants, maybe check that your incoherent psychobabble actually makes an ounce of sense, or facts!
I'll throw your stupid question right back at you, wtf is wrong with you....????
I walked away from this debate several weeks ago, after some chap made some interesting comments re cdkeys. you know, coherent arguments, backed up with some factual information.
Something your pathetic, disturbing, and baseless accusatory post is completely devoid of.
Take a break off HUKD, pal, you clearly need one!! Weirdo!

So you create a fake guest account to reply to yourself. You have a strange obsession with cd keys, an unhealthy one I must say.
Wherever a cd keys post is put up your negative and unnecessary reply is to be found which I do find rather bizarre on a deal website.
If you're not here for a deal I suggest you go somewhere else and stop posting negative responses to genuine deal post.
Oh and rating down posts based on your lonely crusade is just plain stupid.

Zoso cdkeys has never sold Xbox accounts so you are obviously just trolling. I've been using cdkeys for years without any issues, also they have provided sources in the past to prove where their keys have been purchased. I've pre-ordered from them many times and had no issues cancelling preorders, I would say they have very good customer service. You are missing out by not purchasing from them considering the obvious saving you would make.

CDKeys source a lot of their games from this country. They buy in bulk like the major retailers do but don't sign into the RRP and NDA contracts that the bigger companies do. I know that because they used to post pictures of their deliveries on Facebook and Twitter.
The developer will get the same regardless. Contracts for development employees are usually salary paid (the games industry doesn't work like Hollywood just yet) and there's occasionally a small commission involved but most employees don't even get that. Only a few of the top level staff usually do.
In most cases the majority of profit goes to the publisher and investors because they're the ones who paid the salaries and took the risk on the game's development. I actually know a few full-time game developers who buy their games from the likes of MMOGA and CDKeys because they want to play the latest titles but need to watch the bank balance in the same way that everyone else does.

what we have here is a mexican stand off, you have you;re opinion, and I have mine......I can't prove re account, I don't have access to it anymore, but I purchased like 3 years ago. Maybe, they realised they shouldn't be doing it themselves, so stopped, but they were 100% selling xbox live accounts marketed as games......
I don't think the loan to friend thing really stacks up, it is not apples V apples, it is coming up with a side argument tio support another. I loan a friend a game I purchased to a friend, I still purchased it and gave the company my money.
The RRP agreements are there for a reason, you can't talk about profit motive and then ignore cdkeys from that statement. Why do you think they exist, to make you happy, or to make money? They don't make money following accepted fair process as followed by other retailers, that have to sell higher to retain margin and ensure developers get their margins.
There is no way that cdkeys are passing fair margin back to the publishers.......that is where I think it is immoral, because I think these guys work hard and deserve their rewards. If I buy a game from amazon X% goes to publisher, if I buy one from cdkeys it doesn't......

You bought an Xbox account from CDKeys? Well normally I would take your word for it but since you're kind of being a jerk about this, I want proof or it didn't happen. I have been using them and following them on social media for years and I've never seen them market accounts. Not once.
You haven't tackled my original question either. Ignoring scam artists like PSN account websites, G2A etc, how is using a grey key seller any worse than buying a used game or lending one from a friend?
There are trustworthy key sellers who are considered 'grey' and the only reason why they are considered grey is because they don't sign into the same local RRP agreements that the likes of Amazon, Green Man Gaming etc do. Nuuvem for example were told they would be stripped of their trusted status if they didn't take every measure possible to restrict their products from Europeans and Americans. What you're doing here is really just standing up for huge corporations at the detriment of your own wallet.

dude, trust me they sold xbox accounts, as I unwittingly purchased one not realising it was an account, I thought it was a key (and the price was similar to other retailers for a key which was even more confusing)....then cdkeys refused to give money back when I called them out on it.
I love how 'experts' like you think you understand the financial working of software / developer houses. Well you don't buddy, you are not privy to their financial statements, strategies or management of their business.
The internet is full of 'experts' who flippantly explain away malpractice to convince themselves and everybody else that what they are doing is not immoral.
Grey imports steal profits from companies, that is an absolute irrefutable published and documented fact, and your ostentatious display of vulgarity on the subject wont change that fact!
I will never purchase anything from cdkeys, and I know lots of other people who don't either for the same reason, so don't lecture me. If you want to buy from them, good luck to you, but unless you can put some proof on here they they are not siphoning profits from developers I am not interested, pal.

yeah you keep telling yourself that.....everyone knows how they obtain their keys, that's why they are banned on here. Grey imports rob the publisher of profit FACT
They also used to sell xbox accounts, which is a direct violation of MS user policy.
I wouldn't touch cdkeys with a bargepole, I go through legitimate retailers for my games (Steam etc) and ensure the publisher gets every penny they rightfully earned.

Sorry, I liked this by mistake. How is buying a grey market key immoral? As long as it's not stolen then the publisher is still being paid. In fact it is arguably far less immoral than buying a used copy of a console game from the high street, Ebay or Amazon or lending a game from a friend.

Prey 2 was cancelled in 2014. I think the idea is that this is a new IP - but the re-use of the name is definitely 'odd'
Spark
18 Apr 17#19
I'm not really sure why they're calling it Prey 2 tbh. The original game is a decade old and was pretty obscure anyway. Bethesda are big enough that they could have just released it as a new IP.
Avenger1324
18 Apr 17#14
I enjoyed the original, but too many flags around this game to preorder, not least is people in this thread asking if it is a stealth game - either just because of the mention of dishonored 2 engine, or because the gameplay has fundamentally changed from the original.
Reviews first, a demo would be nice (PC) and then we consider buying. Going in blind after more than a decade wait for a sequel is just asking to get burned.
reddragon105 to Avenger1324
18 Apr 171#15
It's not a sequel - Prey 2 was cancelled; this is just a game using the same name because Bethesda bought the rights and feel they have to use them somehow. They've described it as a 'spiritual successor to System Shock', which sounds great in theory, because System Shock is great, but shouldn't they really be calling it a spiritual successor to, oh, I don't know, the original Prey? (Also don't we already have a bunch of System Shock spiritual successors? BioShock for one, plus an actual System Shock remake and sequel.)
So other than the basic theme of 'human on a spaceship' it seems to bear little relation to the original. Not that that means it will be terrible - I'm still hanging on to hope - but instead of pre-ordering I'm just going to go and replay the original.
Not sure where you got that from but the first Dishonored used the Unreal Engine, Dishonored 2 used the Void Engine (developed internally by Arkane Studios specifically for the game, based on id Tech 5, which was used for Rage and the two newest Wolfenstein games, but Arkane said only 20% of the id Tech 5 engine remains in Void), and this new Prey uses CryEngine. So they might look/feel similar because it's the same developer, but not because it's the same engine.
dangel to Avenger1324
18 Apr 171#16
Originally it was going to be a sequel - it's not now though. Arkane talk of it as spiritual sequel to system shock and/or a re-imagining of the original. For all intents and purposes forget the original Prey here..

It is a bit of a shame that there won't be a PC demo, I'll agree on that. However data mining and leaks now make PC demo's a problem unfortunately. Capcom regretted offering one for RE7 almost immediately because people drilled through it and spoiled the entire plot.

It's a YouTube concept to tell others what to do with their own money. At launch this will cost more than it does right now because that's how 3rd party key resellers work. If you really want it then why not order it now and save a few quid in the process?
