My first deal so I may well get a lot of this wrong.
This to me seems like a great deal, and something of particularly useful information to supporters of these clubs who will already be visiting away games this year.
Premier League games are already capped at £30 per game for away supporters, but many in the game believe £20 is more than enough.
Fortunately so do Virgin Media, and they are running this promotion, which allows any visiting fan to claim back any extra paid above the value of £20 and you will be sent a cheque for the difference.
You do not need to be a Virgin Media customer to do this, its open to anyone. So amongst all the fans going to these fixtures listed below, there is literally thousands to be saved.

The only thing that annoys me about this campaign is that the FSF are pushing it in the Premier League but ignoring lower divisions. It should be a campaign run through the divisions. And I don't mean the refund Virgin are given, the campaign itself.

Excellent offer really, just a shame Man City are excluded from the list, but wonder if that's the home team at the time that's the issue i.e our away game in these dates is against that other team from Manchester.

Just to be clear you cannot obtain a ticket from Virgin as this is a refund only service
This is only for those who have already purchased tickets via their usual other sources and have paid more than £20. Virgin will refund you the difference to bring purchase price down to £20.

You'd think they'd want better press for doing a seemingly good deed as this.
Although then they'd be forking out more so... blargh.

Worth noting all away fans to Southampton have been capped at £20 all season - this done by Virgin Media and not by the club though. Not sure why we can do it and big teams like united city Chelsea feel the need to set it as £30 - all clubs can afford £30k less a match surely.

Thats how it should be across the board, unfortunately it isn't but atleast this gives a little something back to those who are going away to clubs that aren't, for example, burnley fans travelling to everton, thats £30.

Would be nice if Arsenal Category A games were included in this, seeing as away fans from the big clubs have been protesting at the Emirates about the pricing.

Shame they've only limited it top Premier League where away tickets are already capped at £30, as away fans in the Championship can easily pay £35-£40.

I think premier league teams have so much money to spend it's a necessity
Many championship teams are strapped for cash, so the money you pay is because of the lack of tv money you get in comparison. Won't be long till championship is more expensive as clubs spend more trying to push onto the premier league whilst bankrupting themselves

Yeah, the lower down the leagues you go the more important the gate money is.
I'm alright though as Huddersfield season tickets are only £199, which would be a bargain for the Premier League or Championship depending on how the rest of the season goes.

Great to see where the repeated price rises are being spent. I wonder if they'll apply the same thinking to their line rental price.

Great deal for actual football fans and not plastic armchair ones.
