Thanks i'll leave it with my misses! You can always add a minute add on if you use up to 500 so its not like you have to pay the 40p a minute

Just did live chat and have switched but did not ask them if they were giving me 500 or the 2k that person had above. I use under 500 mins a month so does not matter, even if I needed to go over I can use 0800 access number to make calls
EDIT: just confirmed in email:
Plan price- £10.00
Data - 5120mb Minutes - 500
Texts - UNL

Plusnet UK customer service is also something not to be underestimated. That's why I swapped from virgin, they are truly dreadful.

Hi, not usually, you take the deal they offer, there's usually some trade off. I rarely use more than 50-100 minutes a month, and burn data so it's worth it for me. But if you need the unlimited minutes then you'll be stuck with 4gb. You can try a cheeky call and ask the question!!!

Do you keep the same minutes my misses might want the extra data but 500 mins might not be enough

All you then need is a Plusnet sim that works out of the box.
They have had a lot of problems with sims not being correctly set up to access data and sometimes the "G's" correctly.

I might try it. I was with life mobile before it was swallowed up by plusnet. their 5gb for £12 deal ended yesterday but I think it came with more minutes. heat!

They weren't really swallowed up, they were a EE sub brand and when BT took them over they just rebranded it under the plusnet name still has the same staff. which made sense why gave loads if brands when plusnet was seen as better brand than BT itself b

That's outstanding (not that is matters now) but what sim did u have to add to basket so u had it for a pound? Can't believe I missed that. Also is anyone having problems with incoming calls lately? Everyone bar my cousin is experiencing this

It was a £1 month mistake sim it was 2,000 mins too many but i don't care and 1gb data and 5,000 texts i only have a 2g phone so it's perfect! use my ipad with the 3 sim with 12gb data for so called smart capabilities

I switched my son's sim this morning. He was on the Plusnet 4gb for £10 with 1500 mins and unlimited texts. They didn't seem to have this new 5gb, 500 mins for £10 offer on their system when I went through the switch via web chat, so they have put it through on 5gb data, 2000 mins and unlimited texts which was their old £12 plan but reduced this to £10. I have had a text and an email to confirm this plan at £10 a month on my next bill date.
