I bought these for £69.99 from Argos as I needed some replacement headphones that day for a long trip. I felt that they were worth it at that price. The sound quality is ok, I've never had them disconnect and they have quite a long battery. Absolute steal for £39.99!

I got these on black Friday for £25 from Argos. I only use them for watching the TV but I love them. Sound good, never disconnect and a long battery.
If I had to nit pick I'd have to say I don't like the noise. and by that I don't mean static noise I mean the physical noise of the rubbing and rustling on my head. But not everyone will notice it.

Took these back , didn't like the button set up , look way to cheap and small , not comfortable , way too much movement in the ear pads , sound is good, though not that impressed with the noise cancelling feature . I payed a little bit more and got the Skull Candy ones which in my opinion are far superior in every way .

Just used mine on flights to the states and back. The noise cancelling is excellent for flight noise in particular and the long battery meant no charging issues. They also come with a standard headphone wire so you can use hem wired instead of wireless. Been really impressed with these headphones, would recommend.

got these for £25... which I think was a great price.... £39 not so much. They are quite good, solid sound, good noise cancellation, but base is minimal. Battery life is really good, and they can connect to two devices at once.

I purchased these last time they were on offer, seemed like a steal for a wireless headset. Saying that I can not recommend these, the noise cancelling is pointless; it may aswell not be present. But my biggest gripe.. the sound is so flat. Very comparable to your 15/20gbp wired headphones.
I did however fall in love with wireless and ended up buying a better pair of bluetooth headphones (sony mdr-xb950bt). But then again they are more than double the price.

has been sold for £34.99 at argos, I had to take mine back as they were so painful to wear. the sound was ok and the Noise cancellation was ok but the button placement was very strange and they felt cheap, very plasticy and brittle.
the clamping force was too much for me and gave me a pressure headache.

I bought it at £25 and had it returned after. I don't like how the headphone pressed on my ears. The sound quality is decent but my ears were sore after wearing it for a period of time. Noise-cancelling is negligible. Got a pair of over-ears headphones instead.

bought a pair. tried them in the office and on the tube. disappointed with results in both environments. in the office, it just removed the background hum, nothing else. on the tube, likewise, it removed some of the tube track noise, but nothing else. could hear all announcements, door noises, people speaking. Will be taking these back. I had some £100 AKG NC on ears, a few years ago. They really did make a noticeable difference in the same environments.

Can somebody give a novice some advice please, and suggest whether this Philips or the Sony headset from Amazon would be better?
I would rarely use headphones, but want to get a set for longhaul flight for honeymoon so I can actually hear the inflight movies. Sony set isn't wireless obviously, thats as far as my knowledge stretches :smiley:

The ones on this deal are SHB8750NC, not the same as the ones in Currys or Amazon. The ones on this deal are higher up in their range. Not tried both so no idea if one is better than the other. Just pointing out the model difference.
